Most people who've touched grass in their lives actually don't know what a "furry" is and thus have no negative stereotypes of the fandom. Also, I'd say that thanks to Furscience, TikTok, TH-cam, and some positive mainstream media representation, I've run into more people over the past few years who've both heard of furries *and* have a neutral-to-positive view of the community.

I used to wish a higher power would just end me already, but I came across furries and I’m living a better life these days.
I thank the furry fandom for that.

Pretty much spent 26 years of my life trying to figure out who I am or what I want to be.
Then my close friend (who I knew was a furry) invited me to FurFloat (Cruise where handful of finnish furries gather once a year). Had the time of my life, and finally found the place where I fit in.
That was 6 months ago, and in the upcoming weeks getting my own suit! Can't wait for it :3

I love how supportive everyone was! Even though I don’t have a fursuit (for now) it is nice seeing people giving you high fives, the kids hugging you, and all the people taking pictures with you! I enjoy seeing people acting kindly towards others.

Along with a furry unboxing video and someone going to the mall in their suit, this is my favorite video, and the one that makes me wish I could afford a fursuit, or had the guts to wear one now that I'm in my 30s. You look amazing, you're very brave, you look like you had so much fun and I'm glad that most people were kind!
