Finally, Sir Caco, the anticipation has been well worth it. I've eagerly awaited this moment for quite some time. Amidst the multitude of Raptor reviews available on TH-cam, it was your insightful review that truly captured my interest and held my anticipation. Your distinct perspective and thorough analysis make your review stand out, and I couldn't be more excited to finally watch it.

The ranger raptor is really the only one in its "class" (if you call it that) closest competition it has maybe the navara pro4x but even that is just more on cosmetics rather than actual offroad performance
I think Ford Philippines went on a safer route when deciding not to offer us the V6 cause for them, bi-turbo diesel is more feasible for the majorities & will not eat the 'Pie' from their other V6 lineup like the expedition, F150, mustang & explorer. Basically, our raptor version is an entry level or a wildtrak with a raptor body kit on a normal fox dampers 😁the mid-range is found on some european countries like in UK w/ a V6 petrol engine but a bit tone down on power while on other side, there's the sub-tier raptor that has 392hp, offered on aus, but mostly in asia & the top-tier ranger raptor is on US/canada w/c delivers a whopping 405hp/583nm & it uses the next-gen Fox 2.5-inch Live Valve Internal Bypass shocks. I got your point. I am in the process of choosing if i will go for Toyoto Hilux GRS or Ford Raptor but without getting all the facts, i chose the Toyota Hilux GRS for the affordability and i have assumed that the price of the Ford Raptor will be on 3 to 5 million pesos. Your point about the the power department is on point. I see lots of Ford Raptors here in Long Island New York where i am based and the price can go as high as 130,000 us dollars. As soon as i found out about the price about the Ford Raptor Philippine version 2.3 million pesos, my question was what is the difference? The obvious difference is in the power section. But i do agree with you about Ford Philippines playing it safe. I know there are people in the Philippines who can afford the Ford Raptor US version but it just a very small number of the population unlike here in the U.S. who has a bigger market because people has more buying power.
Having this PH version of the Ranger Raptor model in Bi turbodiesel engine is the best and ideal for the PH market.. I don’t see the need for the V6 engine option.. let’s be honest here… you buy this truck for the looks..
I agree with you. Our market don't even need the V6 after all. We only want the Ranger Raptor for its looks. The bi-turbo diesel is already enough to power the PHDM Raptor and we can be sure about its reliability under the hood. The only thing we need for the Raptor is a tonneau cover for its rear bed.
I find it so funny that in America they're whining because all they get is a v6 and not a v8. And now In the philippines we aren't even given the option for v6.Anyways I agree there's no use for a v6 in this country our roads are so bad that you rarely would even need that much power and speed. Even a 3 cylinder 1.0 liter wigo can reach 100kph and that seems good enough for most trips around the country.
In the U.S of A they use a gasoline powered v6 engine for mid sized pick up trucks. Imagine having a gasoline engine v6 in your pick up here in the Philippines and traversing EDSA or the equivalent route every day? Ohhh, you're probably not going to like to see your gas station every week.
watching this video over a year later is pretty funny. now we have the V6 raptor, ferrari is just 30pts behind mclaren in the constructors, and max's car is struggling against mclaren and ferrari. what next, a taller caco and a margarita-making raptor? 😂
It's a good idea that they used the diesel engine for the Philippine market but it's a raptor it should've had the gas 3.0 twin turbo. Save the diesel engine for the lower end models
The last released Raptor have numerous fuel pump issues. Not once, not twice but many times 😅 Hopefully this one doesn't disappoint and won't keep you stuck on expressway / highway
If you're expecting a V6 in a Raptor, don't even try to. Yes, other markets are lucky to have it, but let's be honest, we don't even it at all, because the only reason why our market wants the Raptor is not its performance, but the most important thing which is the looks. A diesel is enough, because design is much more the focus here. Hilux Conquest and Triton Athlete, watch out!
