People saying Jianxin is bad doesn't even make sense when her kit does so many things and we only have 3 character slots. There is no way her character won't age well.
Yeah like she can heal, shield, group, and buff (with her outro). I don't see a future in which she becomes absolutely useless
What's the story of the Jianxin ? I don't get it ! Some people say she's busted and others say she's terrible lol
she seems like a decent all around character to me , not game breaking , but not terrible either
I feel like its the exact opposite, I don't think there is a way for her to age well at all. problem is that yes she does a bunch of things but none of those things are very useful. She has been super fun to explore with and do events with but I don't expect to get much lategame value from my Jianxin. I'll mostly use her as an overworld character I think.
Harder endgame content is mostly boss battles, making her grouping lose some value (even if we get a character who is great with grouping, enemies are what dictate grouping usefulness)
Her shield does not provide interruption resistance, or any offensive bonus. This is a huge problem because the only value we get is not taking damage, an aspect that is already adressed by multiple game mechanics like dodging and parrying.
Her outro buff is very strong, not a lot of great candidates to utilize that buff right now (this will certainly improve in the future)
Finally healing also doesn't have great value in this game because again, lategame you get hit = you die anyway.
only future potential for her is her outro buff which is not enough for a good 5 star character I think, I wouldn't call her a "bad" character but she is not a good 5 star either. Thats why people are talking shit. Maybe very late in the future we get new endgame content where grouping is very valuable, in that case she would be a great character.

lmao exactly like its not even brightness i am pretty sure it's gamma or some other color filter of sorts.
because instead of enhancing the colours it just increased the "whiteness" of the screen kinda like blasting the LED panel in a lcd screen.
everyone was putting jianxin on the bottom of their tierlists and i got her luckily and she's literally hard carrying my account

Been seeing a lot of praise for Jianxin lately, which is funny because in tier lists she's always low. I think tier lists tend to favor specialists over generalists. But this early on... nothing wrong with a generalist who can do it all.
There are many people who enjoy the parry mechanic she has. Its not even weak, only if you miss. Shes not crazy strong or crazy weak, she is as her character is, balanced.
You can play her main dps, but shes not main dps.

Im a "meta" slave in genshin, but in wuthering waves... I just smash random stuff until the enemy is dead, Im not even doing the tower... xD
I would recommend doing the first two zones stable and experimental as they are one time and the rewards reset monthly ..they are fairly easy

The key is get phantom tortoise. Super fun. I hope they add more fun things like that. I have 3 built and the rest I just play to enjoy.
All I have been doing is farming materials for the characters I like playing and exploring. I do not care or want to finish the game in 1 week and being sweaty just to get a bit of an upgrade sooner. If I did this, I would burn out and get bored of the game, quitting after a month.
What if people like min-maxing from week one. Then it wouldn’t ruin the experience.

if i were making "tips & tricks" videos i would have a color coding system pop up on the screen to rate the tips on a scale of "everyone PLEASE do this" to "SICKOS ONLY". some of these suggestions are just such negligible efficiency gains and it's good to have the info out there but sometimes all it's gonna do is give people a complex for no reason lol

It's still early days for WuWa. I'm not even done the story, and I want to explore and try out the several characters to see how they click. Tier lists are subject to change and I don't want feel like an idiot because e.g., I pulled Calcharo, not Verina, and didn't immediately re-roll my account. It will for sure ruin my experience.
In Genshin, I made the mistake of just raising my AR and WT and I ended up under-levelled by the time I got to Inazuma. In Wuwa, I'm going slower. There's no race to high union levels, and there's no shame in playing at lower levels. I wish I'd stayed at a lower AR/WT in Genshin for longer, and in WuWa, I'm staying low for a while.
well, I pulled Cal and chose Verina so got a good start. But yeah, it's just starting.
Battle pass is actually better than welkin in this game, resources are pretty scarce and it gives a lot

Thank you so much for this video. It's sort of hard not to feel like I'm "falling behind" with how quickly so many others are advancing through the game, and hearing that my faves (Aalto and Jianxin) might not be that great in the long run was a little discouraging. But this was really nice to hear! I want to do well eventually, but for now I'll just take it slow and enjoy the game with the characters I like too :)
The most fun Ive had in the game so far is using Inferno Rider to move around the map. Finding ways to use echos to explore has been such a joy.

I like that you’re making wuwa content. I really like your perspective on these things.
I got pretty lucky and ended up pulling Calcharo, Verina and Encore with less than 80 pulls (select 5* i picked up another calcharo) and will use the currency i gathered in these 37 union lvls to buy the remaining 23 pulls for yinlin and try my 50/50. I also pulled the 5* Weapon of the normal banner, because if i need or want to upgrade the anscencion of it later on i can always pull the permanent banner.
This video is spot on with everything I done wrong this week lol. I was having so much fun on the first few days not knowing anything but I took too many advice on how to min max as a F2P and I already got to world tier 3 with level 18 data bank with overflowed exp... IN THE FIRST WEEK! I also ended up using my free 5 star on Calcharo because I heard so many good things about him over Jianxin, who I originally wanted when the game was released.
Now I just farm for echos like a zombie and its my fault for burning out the spark I had at the beginning. Forget meta, forget efficiency, you'll never forget your fun.

I guess the most essential tip is to learn about animation cancelling. All characters have their own kind of animation cancelling and that makes the fighting more dynamic and diversified no matter which characters you're playing with.
Inferno Rider is basically yelan but on steroids
I do take my time playing the game, but I do look at guides to make an "educated guess" to attempt to waste too many resources.
I do take things with a grain of salt, since a lot of it is being made by people with limited experience.
So in a way, I'm trying to strike a balance. I do respect people that wanna go in blind, though.
It goes the same for any new players in established games like genshin etc
I also find he issue is not meta vs non meta, but giving myself the time to discover meta for myself, otherwise it feels clinical - just copy/paste what a guide tells me to do
the only “guide” type video I recommend anyone to watch is sweetily’s video on the triple jump because omg it’s so fun and super easy to execute!!

Everyone was putting Jianxin at lower tiers and now I'm seeing more and more videos about her, I think that after playing with her, people are seeing that she's actually really solid. And considering how good her S6 looks, she will probably feel even better in the future

about the echo's. Definitely be cautious leveling them, however getting an ok purple set going isnt a massive waste early game because you can eventually reuse those and get 80% exp back. I'd say level 10-15 is still alright. Also purple echos require purple tuners and gold require gold so, after you get 5 star echos you'll have no use for the purple (4 star) tuners anyway. Just don't overdo it and maybe be more picky about leveling your gold echos :)

Exactly! I'm playing this extremely casually. Like an hour or 2 a day.
Spot on! There are so many guides and everyone seems to rush through the game. So much so that I felt pressured to do the same and almost lost motivation to play early on. Only on day 5 when I got my free Sanhua I found some fun again, have been maining her since, she's just too much fun! Was lucky enough to get her S1 and the 5* sword on the same day, so I guess it was fate!
Chixia has been near the bottom of every tier list that I've seen, but I keep using her because she's so much fun to play. She's also currently my best DPS character. My level 1 R1 Calcharo can keep that bench warm for now.
(This is coming from someone who still runs Electro Traveler in my main party for Genshin Impact, which probably makes my opinion invalid, but I just care more about having fun with my characters than in maxing out my damage rotations.)
Progression is so fast that I wouldn't level up my echoes again, I tuned some of them too, but the progression is quite fast and those guys are swapped out to better ones. But yeah, it's just one day's plunder, happy I saw some warnings about it so I didn't burn all the echo xp.
I think the best thing I was able go do was to make three teams and then take one character from each team and turn them into an over-world team do that I could get more familiar with them and actually level their skills
That's why I created a new account and taking my time. I'm maining Danjin and Taoqi even though I got Jiyan.
I am using them in the same team with Verina and its so good and fun. Funnily enough, I use Taoqi as main dps and Danjin as sub dps and its pretty fun. I love her strategic parry and counter attacks

Every video I looked at when deciding to try Wuthering Waves told me Lingyang was the worst 5 star and I shouldn’t waste my 5 star picker on him. I thought he was cute and his gameplay looked interesting so I picked him anyway.
One week in and he’s my favorite character to play. Haven’t regretted it one second.
Can relate, loved his gameplay in his story quest! In the end gameplay is more important than meta anyway
No reason to worry about meta or minmaxing until you can max out your character level and talents.
I'm not trying to clear holograms or towers when I know it will be much easier to do when I am not capped by my union level. Don't need that sweatiness in my life. Especially for a single player game.

Preach, Jello. You're absolutely right and I'm so glad to hear you talk about this. It's right up there with people ranking C6 4 stars against C0 5 stars this early in the game as if that's even remotely relatable at this point in the game.
The Jianxin hate is reminiscent of the XQ hate in genshin in the beginning of the game. How can a character with that kit be bad?
They dont read. thats the problem. even if they read, the information doesnt transfer until someone else shows them otherwise.
I read Bennett's skill day 2 of Genshin while wasting my time rerolling (before they dont let you do so effectively) and I really dont get why hes low on the tier lists.
You can get 4 characters to lvl 60 with maxed talents and weapons and all artifacts on lvl 20 for them. There is enogh resorces in world for that. After you hit Ar 40 you may start having problems.
Some ftp and early to mid game tips would be helpful. I see lots of end game level tips from other creators.
Focus on one team leveling up (prioritize your dps, do level and weapon first). Kill everything that moves to help build databank exp. Don't spend crystal solvents (the golden cubes) to get stamina for union exp, instead do the quests. Do the illusive realm before it ends. It gives trial characters so you don't have to level your own, and it has two really good echos for sale in the shop as well as a skin for one.
Other than that, just play and have fun! It's harder to mess up in the early game, so just go around and do anything that looks interesting. If you want to min-max, you should be able to apply the tips from endgame guides to your own level to some extent and start working towards them.
I'm building Yuanwu because I like punching things. I find his damage underwhelming though 😭
Seeing your character roster and I'm like damn I'm TOO lucky. I already have Calcharo (lost the 50/50 on my 20th pull), Jiyan (got him on 30 pity after losing to Calcharo), Jianxin (random early standard banner pull), Verina (used that selector ticket they recently gave away), and finally, today I got kinda early Encore (from the choice thingy pull), and all while being (and planning to remain) f2p. Yeah I guess my "ruined" account has a pretty good foundation lmao.
My question would thet I should farm Echos early on for Data Bank XP or enough if I playing the game casually and I got enough Xp by thet?
you don't get enough of either resource in early game for it to matter at end game. Farm for what you need!

I'm glad for everyone who is playing wuwa and having fun, but honestly all the news surrounding wuwa are just sad at this point, this is not the genshin competitor a lot of us wanted.

I think some of the content creaters are on rush to end game and they'll get burned out soon. Wuwa might be somewhat different genshin regarding combact but in the end its still a gacha game. You can pull op characters and then get them to max to clear the most difficult content but then what. Gacha games are not like soulslike games where you must learn the mechanics and boss fight patterns to progress the game. I mean for example at some point with Jiyan you can just spam his ult atk and clear content. The whole hyperbloom situation will repeat.
But what would I do without all the videos with giant yellow and white text telling me how to play lol. Also I don't understand all the videos and tierlists saying Baizi is bad, I think she is crazy good but I don't have Verina so idk if she's worlds better.
Im definetly minmaxing like building characters and all, but my main team is chixia taoqi verina (taoqi chixia actually works really well together which is cool) and my 2nd team will be lingyang, just for wanting to use my favorite chars, and (For now) they work very well!
(For example, ive done experiment zone max stars first half with the combo of taoqi chixia, two (generally) considered low tier units)
I think and Hope it will be similar to genshin, where if you max out your favs and add good supports they will clear with skill, and not powercreep heavy like star rail has become.
The new echo farming pity thing kokky found out is a game changer, helps you farm the elite and boss echoes you want faster. You get those motorcycles for all at least in 6 battles and for echoes you don't need to use waveplates!
it's the EXP that's the problem not the farming
People making tierlists seriosly undervalue Taoqi and Jianxin. Jianxin is just perfect all round support and can do nice dps as well. Taoqi on the other hand is quite good and also all-rounded character, but most imporantly, she is just fun to play as main dps. I use her with Danjin and Verina and I dont regret it. Strategic parry and counter attacks are so fun to pull off and I dont need to worry about my characters dying, because you cant just die with Taoqi and Verina in the team and thats a plus because I just enjoy the game
Taoqi the only Def scaler is the Noelle trash echo collector, plan to play her and Jianxin

Actually, you don't have to do ALL the dailies !! Once you hit 100 points, there's nearly nothing to gain to do the last 2-3 dailies.
I would suggest each and every player to focus on their mc since the start, the mc is one who carried me through to onion lvl 35
😂 7:42 I depleted all my echo XP on the 2 star blue and 3 star purple echoes already (Union level 32 and databank 15, 155/200 exp)
Maybe it’s only “ruined” if your goal was to clear that first season of endgame mode with max rewards as a free to play?
I’d theoretically miss out on maybe 20% character stats keeping my purple echos “longer than optimal”, but I’m getting hit about half the time in bosses and still clearing in 2 minutes out of the 5+ minute limits. (honestly I don’t remember the time limit since I haven’t timed out an encounter yet)
All the getting hit and healing is a 70% DPS loss, so I’m not feeling like I’m going to get doomed at Union level 40 with my purple echoes.

I had to choose between Calcharo and Jianxin and Verina was a must pull...i Chose Calcharo and he 's amazing even without Yinlin but I don't know how to feel about skipping Jianxin since she is my best xter design

jianxin is pretty good, just not the greatest DPS. I think she is best sub dps/supp for resonance liberation reliant resonators like calcharo.

The only way I could ever ruin my account in any gacha is rolling for meta over waifu. When meta and waifu collide, it's nice, but still unnecessary. There's zero gachas today where you can't beat all existing content with any playable character. Now what makes me drop gachas is when the gameplay loop is boring and tedious, and those aren't words I could use to describe WW. This combo based combat is way more engaging than Genshin's elemental reactions system.
I want to play danjin so i am, it so happens she pretty meta. Her dodge counter mechanic is great for bosses, she struggles with multiple opponents. There is only one meta char that i dont like and that verina but i do think she a must pull. Baring that u have so many options. The game is full of supports / sub dps already. My advice choose your dos and supports.Danjin possibly doesnt need a healer and im thinking she might run better with taoqi if i can reduce her field time. And taoqi although not meta i really like. I have already planned my first initial 3 teams. Danjin mortefi and verina. Havoc rover sanhua and baizhi. Yuanwu calchero and yinlin. This means with an addition of any 1 char it gives me lots of options. Replace verina with taoqi oh verina can now replace yuanwu if needed. Get an ice dps and havoc rover can replace mortefi on danjin team. Okay i can now run full glacio, full havoc and full electro
Just play for fun people. The game is super easy to complete. F2P
Echo rarity is based on data bank level. People were looting golden echoes day 3 already, so "echo problem" is not really a problem for most of us. There are 2 breakpoints in data bank gated behind union level, but the first breakpoint for gold echoes is pretty low. Once you start looting gold echoes, then you can immediately level them up. You just need to spend a bit time grinding mobs. Having stronger characters from leveled up echoes, means killing mobs faster. Not having to spend half an hour fighting a single trash mob makes the game much more smoother and enjoyable. Personally I had a lot of fun just running around and killing everything that moves. The time went by so quickly that I didn't even realize it was super late, and I had to make myself unglue from the game in order to go to sleep XD
As for tips, if you like the inferno rider as movement, equip him on all your 3 characters. You can then ride the bike constantly by swapping immediately to the next char and using the echo again ;)
the echo problem is not for the individual piece but the material for leveling them tho. it might be a less problem late game coz we can feed old levelled echos. but early game even with high db you are kind of playing a waiting game to farm enough level and tuning material.
@@siliconhawk9293 I've geared several characters now, and still haven't run out of free exp & free tuners. Just explore more. There are loads of this stuff in chests. And personally I'm only at 41% exploration, so there will be loads more for me before I start using stamina.
And when I will start farming for upgrade materials, I don't see a difference between spending stamina for artifact farming in Genshin or spending stamina for upgrades in WW. It's the same thing. Not really a problem.

It is hilarious to see people „min maxing“ their lvl 40 characters. You havent even leveled a Single talent yet, what are you overthinking?
Since the story is crap, min/maxing and stopping the mobs is all there is IMO.
While I agree with the sentiment, I mainly picked up this game to play the end game content, so any tips that can get me from where I’m at to end game quicker I’ll definitely take the tips. Now, I’ll take tips but preferences and opinions I’ll take those with a grain of salt. I started out w/ maining taoqi which is highly not advised by most, but I’m glad I did for early game exploration because I did not really care to build baizhi and down the road I got Verina and Jianxin so in combination with taoqi I don’t really need any more healers for awhile. One tip I did wish I took was building the MC because Havoc rover is looking like an insane sub dps and main dps and is cheap to build because you don’t need ascension mats. I am starting to build now, but it’s going to take awhile for echoes to get online.
