@@govindak-q8u if youre using all catalysts, the best team would be klee, xianyun, sucrose and barbara actually! klee gives pyro application for sucrose to swirl, xianyun gives her the plunging dmg and barbara can hit vaporises that way! paired with the klee buff, neuvillettes weapon and the 4pc hunter the team actually becomes one of the best teams for barbara all around (idealy you'd want bennett instead of klee and/or kazuha instead of sucrose, but sucrose does give EM at c6, and her c6 is significantly easier to get than kazuhas c2. as for bennett, you cant really use him in a catalyst only account so klee is the next best option)
It says that you can't be _discovered_ when you're invisible. If the Hunter does their capture skill you CAN still be caught, it says that in the Hunter ability description.
Honestly I prefer this version of windtrace cause it gets rebels more involved (not sure if it can be called windtrace tho). Its not so fun when you play with scared rebels who aren't helping with repair
Dps Barb is actually really good but id suggest mainly doing plunge dmg with her using Xianyun since she has really good plunge scaling. Swirls and Xianyuns plunge dmg buff also helps a lot especially since she’s already on the team. The hyper bloom would jsut give a bunch of extra dmg too. Nahida especially since the em buff would help Xianyun do more swirl dmg :3
The translation for the Windtrace Transparency skill isn't the best. It said "cannot be discovered by the Hunter" as in they can't see you. But they can still technically capture you. The proof this is not a bug is because there's achievement points for Hunter to catch a Rebel using Transparency (Hunter's Intuition).
Wanderer +yanfei+ charlotte + Mona is actually a good team because you can freeze your enemies and when wanderer swirls cryo his crit rate is increased and hydro extends the duration of his E
i feel like this wind trace is actually a lot easier for the rebels, because they just have to fix the machines and don't need to hide, so yeah its not really a hiding game anymore
Funny thing is Java, 10 out of the 16 characters you have so far work off-field. Lmao Kokomi, Charlotte, Xianyun, Yae Miko, Nahida, Sucrose, Lisa, Barbara, Baizhu, and Mona can be played with just either their skill and burst with minimal field time.
When I was playing Windtrace, I was doing really good as a rebel and the only times I lost was when my teammates did nothing. For me, I struggled a lot more as the hunter
I honestly think the game is pretty balanced as long as both sides know what they’re doing. I say its been fairly equal for me with hunter and rebel wins.
I love how he was complaining about the lack of off-field catalyst characters and then proceeded to build an off field healer(/hydro applicator??) into an on-field dps
Funny story: I got the book on it's release and 2 Homa's trying to get copies of Mitternacht Walts for Fischl. I had budgeted 90 wishes to waste on the banner and I got the above 3 before a single Mitternachts. I do have Neuvillete but it was utterly ridiculous that I got 3 5 stars at extremely early pity 3 times in a row (and they were all technically 50/50 wins).
I had something similar. I pulled Raiden then thought "might as well try for the weapon because it's cool" and got the weapon. Then Nahida and Xianyun (I hope that's how you write it) came. Lost my 50/50 then got Nahida. Again pulled on the weapon banner because I had some primos and at 0 pity I got Xianyun's signature. Did another 10 pull and got Nahida's weapon again without any pity at all. I got the screenshot and the fan catalyst is at lvl 1 because I don't have the character 😂
lol same thing happened to me on wanderers release(?) banner. i wanted a single yanfei. i left with 3 wanderers and 0 yanfeis. the worst part is, i didnt even want a wanderer to begin with
i'm assuming you already know but not seeing you do it made my brain itchy, so i had to comment. getting 4 star weapons you cant use is great for levelling up other weapons, just make sure you unlock them cuz they won't auto add to level up materials. also barbara has one of the highest charge attack multipliers in the game! so charged attack dps barbara is great acutally, i use her on 4pc wanderers troupe
This windtrace isnt skewed towards hunters its more easier to win as a rebel. My problem is that this isnt prop hunt but its Dead by daylight. Which is awesome but not i dunno

Another thing I really hate about this iteration of windtrace is that you don’t get eliminated if you are caught, and there is almost no reason to hide anywhere because you are meant to camp those machines.
It seems that I was slightly wrong about the getting caught thing. You still only have three lives, which does carry the risk of death, but my point still stands that the lives system ruins the point of hiding.
Actualy this event makes it soooooo much easier for rebels to win If they split up over the map, what can the hunter do? He cant split into 3 parts and follow all of them + they have 2 lives now As hunter, as long as the last 3 beacons you protect arent close to each other, and the enemy is competent, you loose
hey java, love your videos, but for the love of god, baizhu isnt just a dendro applicator, he amplifies dendro reactions (especially quicken and hyperbloom), gives you dendro resonance with nahida, AND heals, and you can put any support artifact set on him as long as you have enough hp o him, making him very easy to build
if you got wanderer you could use him as a driver for the hyperbloom/quickbloom team w wanderer/yae/kokomi/nahida but idk if you will be able to swirl anything bc of nahida’s strong dendro.. you could also do wanderer/yae/lisa/nahida on prototype amber
but yeah you could also do plunge dpses with xianyun bc she can buff and swirl and you’re lacking a lot of buffs on this account.. you could do plunge dps barbara, wrio, yae, or even klee
I'm sorry, but this wind trace event is the best one and most balanced we've got so far. I have enough wins and fails as a hunter as well as a rebel, wich never happened before!!! I hated the previous boring versions of this event, cuz as rebel u just stay at 1 stupid place and wait for the time to pass... so boring ans not engaging, wich made most players become toxic and play assulting games with the hunter. So now none of that is the case and this is the very best mode of windtrace we've ever had!!! So fun and engaging! I hope they leave it like this.

Pull for every catalyst character if said character doesnt fit well.. who know maybe one day a powerful support character might be released that can synergies well with him

This version of windtrace was SO easy as a rebel; pick the aoe invs skill, place is near-ish to the repair thingy and then just run to it the moment you see the hunter on your screen

Wanderer can be run in a taser team with Miko/Kokomi/Flex, using him with 4p VV to shred resistances, could tag on Nahida at the end or Sucrose for grouping and have Wanderer on a more dps build, you can also use Lisa to have a bit more off-field electro application
Why does everybody say that this version of Windtrace favours the hunter? I've played so many games in the last few days and as long as the rebels work together well, the hunter has no chance. Even when I was the hunter, I had a hard time winning very often (sometimes only the favour saved me!).

I wasn't playing when the first round of windtrace happened. I can't imagine preferring it, I LOVE this year's windtrace. I get such an absolute rush trying to repair the signals and waiting until the last possible second to book it, turn invisible, round a corner to disguise, and *pray* that the hunter doesn't notice and watch them run around in confusion and walk away. and when I get to play as hunter??????? I LIVE FOR IT- also why pull for wanderer if you can get baizhu cons? I'm tryna pull for both but had to leave town for almost a week and I might have to give up on my not-emo panatlone dreams
I do think you should pull scara, also this is a rare weapon banner of two catalysts, I mean yeah, Wanderer does not do that much, but on a catalyst only account where he is like the only 5 star missing, worth the shot. Also the weapon banner is a scam ofc, but since it is Catalyst only friendly, and again, there is not much to collect on a catalyst only account, if u get wanderer, worth the shot

Wanderer can be run in a taser team with Miko/Kokomi/Flex, using him with 4p VV to shred resistances, could tag on Nahida at the end or Sucrose for grouping and have Wanderer on a more dps build, you can also use Lisa to have a bit more off-field electro application
Java: catalyst have too many on field dps
Also java: i will made barbara an on field dps
Kokomi gets buffs to her normal attacks from her burst so its better. or you can do critkomi.
Barbara has high charge attack scaling so dps Barbara can make sense

Why does everybody say that this version of Windtrace favours the hunter? I've played so many games in the last few days and as long as the rebels work together well, the hunter has no chance. Even when I was the hunter, I had a hard time winning very often (sometimes only the favour saved me!).

Broni have a hyper idea , it might finally help u do abyss, try burning wrio. Cryo doesn't overwrite burning rxn and so does consistent melt. Maybe wrio, nahida klee and another support. Trust me bro, it does bonkers dmg.

I wasn't playing when the first round of windtrace happened. I can't imagine preferring it, I LOVE this year's windtrace. I get such an absolute rush trying to repair the signals and waiting until the last possible second to book it, turn invisible, round a corner to disguise, and *pray* that the hunter doesn't notice and watch them run around in confusion and walk away. and when I get to play as hunter??????? I LIVE FOR IT-
also why pull for wanderer if you can get baizhu cons? I'm tryna pull for both but had to leave town for almost a week and I might have to give up on my not-emo panatlone dreams
I do think you should pull scara, also this is a rare weapon banner of two catalysts, I mean yeah, Wanderer does not do that much, but on a catalyst only account where he is like the only 5 star missing, worth the shot. Also the weapon banner is a scam ofc, but since it is Catalyst only friendly, and again, there is not much to collect on a catalyst only account, if u get wanderer, worth the shot
