I HACKED in Windtrace? [Genshin Impact]

- So I decided to try out the Windtrace event in Genshin Impact... I never played it before, so I was learning as I went. Eventually, I guess I became so skilled at it that someone called me out for hacking. (Though just to be clear, I still suck at this gamemode)
It's crazy how stupid some hiding spots can be, yet they still work somehow. Wish this gamemode was available more often because it's one of the most fun mini-games in my opinion.

The best feeling is when the hunter walks right past you and there’s 10 seconds left
I think that ties with the sensation of being in plain sight and they can’t find you
Don't get too confident, I once caught a rebel in the last 3 seconds of the round.

Nah, Its when theres barely half a second left for the match to end, ur the only one alive and just when u think ur gonna win, the hunter captures u :D
Once while I was hunter and time was almost up one rebel called another that I had caught earlier noob and not even t seconds after I caught them
I feel like this game mode needs an after-game chat. It would make the experience so much better.
Ikr, as a hunter and rebel I messed around a lot because I had all my coins, and some lobbies were hilarious. I did get friend requests from some of them, but I think an aftergame chat would be nice
Of course, toxic people would probably abuse it to rub victory in peoples faces, so I can understand why they wouldn't include it.

It was the last ten seconds the last person sent a yawn emote and I captured them and won and I couldn't laugh at them

I remember playing as Sayu in the Qingce village map, I hid in a bush without a disguise and I can't describe how scared I was when the hunter waltzed over right next to me, and then walked away like I was invisible. A rollercoaster of emotions
I love that do that to people lol 😹. That might of been me XD
at qingce, I hide either behind a vine or glitch into a slanted rock as a dead log :D (it blends in with the grass)
I did the same thing with Qiqi and we won hahaha it was so fun
the closest we'll get to "hacking" in this game is probably going out of bounds, but that's hardly hacking and mostly accidentally (or purposely) clipping through the ground. plus it's interesting to see how they structure land and what's underneath it
but people do have hacks? like infinite bursts or just to give them really good dmg or stuff idrk but people definitely have real hacks

if there are, they're mostly obscured. and from what i know from honkai, mhy is really strict when it comes to third party programs, mods, and especially hacking. you could have your uid displayed on a notice for other players to see when they start the game, saying you've been banned
I went out of bounds on accident (i think it was a glitch or something) then it kicked me out of the game notifying me that I went out of bounds
Nah hacking is using the cage favor for hunterd
Or when hiding in a tree simply jumping out of it turning invisible and hiding in some corner. The favor didn’t help the hunter at all because he tried to catch me xD
The reason why the Liyue maps pop up so much is because the new players haven’t unlocked Inazuma

@@MidnightGrey1950 I check the co-op players maps when I play, we're always playing on Liyue maps when the host hasn't unlocked Inazuma
It makes sense in a way, if we were playing in unlocked areas then the map would be completely dark! And that would make everything much worse

I feel like Java would love the waterfall tech where you just stand behind a waterfall the whole game and you’re completely invisible.

Not fully invisible, I've had a few hunters spot me multiple times, but if the hunter doesn't think about that possibility it's OP
I tried that, the favor spawned right next to me and the hunter and because of that, they caught me
you will have a hydro sign below your HP bar, which the hunter can see ;-;
I found a kaeya exactly like the one at 4:10 and after the favour dropped, all the rebels befriended him and we waited for the round to finish. Windtrace is great

Fun fact: I once caught the last rebel with 1 second remaining, it was very stressful
It's hilarious to me that people just don't look up as the hunter. In the Inazuma city map I hung off the side of a building down an alleyway undisguised, the hunter ran under me multiple time, using the skill that shows and "!" if there is a rebel in the area, even had me marked with the favor, ran under me stood there and ran off... like hello look up? lol
My other favorite way to hide was a barrel in a tree, just blends in perfectly, and if they start climbing I jump and go invisible.
I just wrote this in another comment, but I will write it again since it just answers your "hello look up" line.
Just like you can't use as rebel your E again after you start climbing, the catch skill also doesn't work while climbing.
So it is not that they don't see you, but they can't catch you to begin with, so most of us (as hunters) don't even bother to try to catch/look for people up if we can't stand on any surface at the same height level to use the skill nearby.
It is preferable to ignore those areas and use the time to search for people you can actually catch. Which, of course, makes those areas the best hiding spots in return.
That is why I don't like this event, the mechanics are too broken for my taste.
@@Ilwenray85 hm? Hunters can’t use catch skill whilst climbing? I thought they could. Maybe my memory is just bad but I’ll check it out in a few minutes and update you!

@@Ilwenray85 that was jumping, not climbing, hunters can use their skill when climbing.
@@tfydreamt It was the character, grasping the wall to reach the top after jumping.
So, climbing.
You can even use the skill when gliding 15:09, jumping 15:19, falling 9:28, but not when climbing with another example climbing the tree here 15:24
The moment the animation of "glued Spider-Man" climbing triggers, where your feet doesn't touch the ground and both hands are in a surface it doesn't matter if you do it for a split second in a small height for just a "jump" or a whole building to reach the roof, the game treats it the same: as climbing.
What some Hunters do, is to climb higher than the Rebel and then let themselves glide/fall to their level and try to spam the Catch skill at the right time in the air where they think the Rebel is... that if the Rebel turn invisible and move horizontally the skill can fail, and it is a waste of time to climb up again to repeat it so most of us don't bother with it.
If you or more people can catch while climbing, then my game (and I guess a lot of people's games) are broken, because I sure as hell couldn't climb and use the skill at the same time, neither could a lot of people either.
Edit: And for me, it makes more sense that people able to climb and catch are the bugged ones. Taking into account that Rebels can't use E while climbing either, after all.
Edit 2: Or maybe the bug is that we should and is still applying the mechanics of the Rebels in the controls, not allowing the Hunters? Now I am doubting myself, dang it.
But in the end, it just reaffirms my point, the mechanics are still broken if not for one reason is for another.

I remember cooping with a kokomi in the Dawn Winery Map as an albedo to do the npc trick. I swear the hunter would have gone for me, but only didn't because the kokomi was running up and down the whole time undisguised. When they left I did the ole 'lamp in a bush' tactic and neither of us got caught.

Looks like you had the same problem with lag. I had a lot of Lag as a hunter, failing to capture people even though I was literally glued to them, having to use all my capture stacks in a quick succession to finally capture people, and sometimes still failing and having to wait for more stacks
This happened to me too. I spent 30 seconds spamming the same rebel trying to capture them and it not working.. The rebel ended up standing still and typing "WTF" which finally allowed me to capture them.
This happened to me in Dawn Winery map and that Inazuma village. I 100% knew where the rebel was or was chasing them, but had to spam capture like 4 times because it just wasn't working.
This happened to me too! I chased after a rebel for a while but could not capture them even though they were in my capture zone.
That was not Windtrace we played but a marathon !

that last game just reminded me of the time i was albedo in dawn winery, and i just sat on the bench closest to the hunter's spawn the entire time and they didnt even know i was there the entire match, and even ran past me like SEVERAL times. the fact they were near me at the last few seconds was very funny to me because i just stood up from the bench and walked around and i could just see the visible disappointment
In this video, Java learns that try harding in windtrace works, but not trying at all gets the job done easier.
Once I played as sayu in wind trace and I locked in, all of the others turned into diona, Klee and qiqi, it was the best match of wind trace 😄

@@lazycrow2853 yeah but he didn't attack as her, hence if you watched the video where he was "using" amber he said it would take one arrow to not be a swords only account, thus using sayu in a gamemode where you can't attack is fine

The best hiding spot in every map in windtrace is the above without cover so you can stare at them

I had the same issue you did at 10.10 once, I caught 2 rebels, then used the favor, and was chasing a visible rebel for a solid MINUTE, spamming my E the whole time and they still escaped cuz sth bugged and yeah, that was frustrating af xdd

hey!!! i figured out how to finish the electro monuments quest in sword impact, so when u get bennett to lvl 70 you unlock one of his talents which reduces the elemental skill cooldown of the character inside of his Q circle by 50%, so instead of waiting 8 seconds for your electro travelers E cooldown, it will only be 4 seconds, try it out! i hope it works :D

I think my favorite round I've had is where I was a hunter and this one person was literally right in front of me, following me, I saw them, and did not capture them.

I always hide under the bridge, they can’t get fully across. Someone went over like they did to you, and didn’t see me. When they sometimes go under, I just go invisible. Bridge is OP lol

I have a funny Windtrace story, I was the last rebel left, there were literally 4 seconds left, I was about to win, and then I drowned.
I fcking drowned.
For the military camp thing, you can squeeze between a box as a barrel but it will sort of be suspicious, it only works for me only 1 time
in the qingce village map at the bottom of the fields theres like a bridge area with a river thats accessable, use sayu and go in the vines

I always hide as a chair among the winyards at Dawn Winery. I have never been caught.
Though I once got the ruins map 5 times in a row.
I found the best spot in windtrace.

Btw your chanse to get keqing on standard banner is lower then on event.
If you lose the 50/50 you have a 1/5 chance to get keqing so effectively a 10% chance. But on standard banner you can also get a lot of different weapons
