+Michael Matteson, Mine has the Music Nib which I am completely in love with. It's why I bought this pen. This is my happy pen. I love writing with it. pure joy.

I have 2 of these…Medium/Fine & Zoom. They were $120 each shipped. Very hard to beat these pens for value. Great vid as always. Thanks.

all japanese nibs has super dry upstroke because their writing don't use upstroke, they decided to make the end of the tip almost touching one another which results super dry upstroke and "finer japanese line". you just need to widen the gap with brass sheet slowly and carefully.

this applies to any japanese fountain pen that are sold in japan, even Pilot in japan. pilot pens outside japan doesn't have this problem. and bigger line sizes like Medium and Broad don't have this problem.

You should provide links to your blog in the description. I would like to check it out.

I actually never thought of doing that, as the blog address is at the start of the videos, but (now that you mention it) it would be a good idea to include them in the description. Thanks!

Michael Matteson Thanks. I tend to stop, start videos and have them playing in the background while I'm busy so I must have missed it.

Actuall, theres nothing wrong with the nib.. did you use an english brand of ink for your first trial? Cause if you do thats the problem. Japanese nibs are dry so they need a more liquid/wet ink and thats japanese ink. Also sailor nibs are very special because they will give you variation of lines depending on the strokes which is very useful in japanese writing. English writers dont like this so they fine tune their pen.
