The “Yet here I stand” scene is the best Jorah moment in the entire series.
My sister came over today and we re-watched episode 6 of game of thrones. We then waited all morning, hoping to watch this video. She then got tired of waiting and went home and then you guys uploaded this video just 11mins ago...Imma watch it without her. I got my chocolate chip cookie and dog here and I can't be happier! 😄

I agree with Aaron - LIttlefinger's comments in the throne room are provocative rather than exposition, aiming to stir the pot between Stark and Lannister. Same with Pycelle - they're both jabbing at Ned's pride. They don't like him, he threatens their cozy little set-up. And, as we learn, LIttlefinger's agenda is to wreak chaos and Pycelle isn't near as feeble as he looks.
And it works, because Ned ups the ante by sentencing Clegane to death and summoning Tywin. Being a major lord, even as a northerner, he would have known enough about the court and the houses to know that Tywin's a major power player. But his righteousness is inflamed by the jabs and he jumps into a pissing contest.
That gold melted hella quick. Always throws me off

If you like the scene with Viceres so much you should read about Crassus.(53 BC) He was a Roman politician who was the richest man in Rome who lost a battle and had molten gold poured down his throat. Likely the event that inspired this death.
Robert and Ned were perfectly cast. Love going back to season 1 and enjoying their performances all over again

I don't personally mind as I've already seen it, but as in one other video they bother to give a spoiler warning when referring to a certain character's death in BB, I'm surprised they didn't do the same here, now I think about it, when referring to not a death, but a pretty significant plot development.
I just marathoned all the GOT revisits yesterday and now this comes out. Perfect.
I really do appreciate how your content doesn't have loud portions of audio. I just have these playing in the background while I do stuff around the house and it's quite nice not having to worry about lowering or raising the volume.

Thank you for this. Instead of finishing important assignments I can now put that out of my mind and fill it with the beautiful voices of Nerd Soup.
In fact it was not that "most" of Robert's children were dark-haired, it was that all of his offspring were. "The seed is strong" is I suppose the equivalent of "dominant genetic traits" - although in reality there would inevitably be a few recessives popping out. But in any case, Robert siring not one but three blond haired kids was just beyond reason.
I want more of these reviews in my life. I wish I could forget all about GoT (and BB for that matter) so I could rewatch them in awe.
I remember watching this for the first time and getting mad at people in the show for bringing up theons predicament like yes we all know he was on the losing side and is basically a slave but if you treat him like a brother one minute then the next when he is just trying to be helpful it’s not his house to worry about... like wtf 😅

Once, when specifically asked to name something in the show he was disappointed with, GRRM cited the boar hunting scene. He apparently told D&D "This is the _king_ going hunting. There should be fancy tents and horses and dogs and a few dozen extras. And you've got 4 guys walking through the woods, one of them holding a spear." But he also said he understood that it was just a 3 minute scene and the production budget was tapped the hell out by that point. It just looked ridiculous to him. I never even thought about it before I heard him say that, but... yeah. He's got a point.

i think you guys should give poor Theon more credit for his shot to save bran. I dont remember seeing Rob practice with a sword but we have seen Theon practicing with his bow in a previous episode
He still saved Bran and Robs life.
These guys just really hate Theon or they did. think they softened on him after his story in season 8

Omg that scene where Tirion confesses and tells all those stories is one of the few moments in GOT that had me laughing really hard. The other one was Tirion drunkenly making sex jokes at his wedding to Sansa and then saying no to the bedding.
I am glad this continues, nobody likes a quitter.

Love the revisit episodes. Btw Bronn's execution style results in a pretty swift death. The entry position avoids the rib cage and clavicle so the blade would enter deep. Being on the right side, it would definitely pierce the superior vena cava, resulting in rapid exsanguination and loss of consciousness. Outwardly gruesome but not the worst way to die from a sword.

I always took the stallion that mounts the world to be true, it's just when he dies she does the sacrificial ritual she uses her kid and drogo to imbue their blood/soul into the dragons so Rhaegal and drogon are essentially them, and since it's Jon's dragon that makes sense
