It never ceases to amaze me how easily the shock/awe value of a single scene or moment can make people completely overlook any and all flaws in the rest of an episode.
TBH one great moment can cover for a lot of mediocre ones the same way one shitty scene can destroy an episode, after all, when you end your watch (lol) the things you remember are the scenes you like the most and how you felt watching them.

@@lolilol5346 To test the defences. The watch won a single assault, at great cost. Mance was going to attack again and probably win if Stannis hadn't shown up.
The best episode was the episode 9 of season 2 with the battle of Blackwater. The CGI of the wildfire was insane. The speech of Tyrion, the hype of the Goddamn Mannis and to see the Hound fighting were gold.
Too bad we didn't get the bit of Rolland Storm saving Stannis from Tyrell Men-At-Arms. While it wouldn't've fit in Episode 9, it would've been the perfect way to open Episode 10, like, a pre-credit scene.
Also the single best line of the entire series is in that episode if I'm not mistaken. "If any man dies with a clean sword, I'll rape his fucking corpse! - the Hound
When I watched Game of Thrones for the first time I loved seasons 6 and 7. After basically studying the whole show I can honestly say that seasons 1 to 4 rule and the later seasons don't hold up at all. Also, Watchers on the Wall is my favorite episode.
I remember hating Season 5 and thinking Season 6 was a "return to form". Now I think Season 6 is one of the worst written seasons. Season 7 I thought at the time that it was a mixed bag. I liked some of the stuff like Beyond the Wall and the Dragon and the Wolf but I could see the cracks. Things seemed out of place, the dialogue felt phony and wrong. Season 6 and 7 they doubled down on the budget and the cinematography was fantastic. So they covered their poor writing with lavinsh shots and special effects and action. Like it was big budget Marvel movies. But at the heart of it it's empty.
9:31 “Let’s just say, we just start at #10. That we didn’t see the atrocities that was above this.” #9 “The Long Night” (Season 8 episode 3) That sounds about right.
Tbh I love 6x10. Not just because of the start, but because of all the great scenes. There isnt a single bad scene in this episode and I cant understand why everybody is saying it only has one good scene.
@@stevem2323 "perfection" Dumb fight choreography that's been ripped to shreds by both arms experts and just regular people in general, a nonsensical time travel trip that serves no purpose and risks Bran's life apparently and teaches Bran nothing of value in terms of his skill in uhm...time travel that he never uses after this point? Ok. You know, dual wielding is only cool if your opponents aren't dumbasses that refuse to stab you in the back when the moment is there. Also, it's just generally a bad idea to do it if you have a shield regardless. But "cool moment shut up brain" I guess is a good reason to like it.
It was great at the time but in the context of the series, it feels hollow. It may be unfair to judge the episode on that but it does make the episode lose points, especially given that the whole episode leaned into setting up future plotlines. For example, Cersei blowing up the Sept and then crowning herself as the ruler feels a lot less impressive knowing it has zero ramifications going forward. The Tower of Joy scene is awesome but that doesn't become a major plot point until Season 8 for some reason. Also even in the episode, some scenes don't make sense. Like Arya killing Walder Frey is cool but it serves no purpose to either Arya's character or the plot. Also, the Frey pies were cool in the books, but they don't really make much sense here other than being shock value. And then in Meereen Danaerys leaves Daario of all people in charge and gives Tyrion a promotion despite him doing a terrible job ruling in her stead. Littlefinger somehow decides he needs to stick around Winterfell even after Sansa turned him down. Jon and Sansa also forget D&D was a thing. It's still a good episode but it shouldn't be in any "best episode" debates.
I’ll never forget when they released the Watchers on the Wall and The Children on IMAX. It was my birthday week and I told one of my friends, who was almost done with season 4, to not watch the last two and to save them for the IMAX experience. He loved it. So worth it and man I would watch the entire first 4 seasons on IMAX if I could.
1:57 I also liked the scene with Daenerys and Jorah where she commands him to find the cure because that was really kind of sad especially after her getting alienated with him the episodes prior. But of course the episode definitely doesn't belong to top 10 there is no question about that yeah xD.
It was actually kind of dumb. She tells him to fuсk off and find the cure for himself, instead of using her power to help him, like Stannis did for his daughter.
Putting Bells at #1 by Vulture has to be a troll article. If they are serious then I am laughing and that is therapeutic for the trauma inducing season 8.
Hey, I can kinda imagine how you would rank all Seasons, but I would still find it very cool to see you making a video about it. Especially after I just rewatched Game of Thrones. Also, I believe the reason why Winds of Winter is so "loved" is because like u said the dopamine u get from it as well as the feeling and hype the Episode sets for the next season, for example, Daenerys on her way to Westeros...
I think his ranking is fairly possible to figure out from his season analysis. Also I think that you just can't compare some of the prior seasons because they have different themes. As for the Winds of Winter to be honest I didn't really cared about Daenerys plotline. What made the episode good for me was the tower of joy scene and the Great Sept explosion but both of them are flawed because later seasons failed to make consequences for these scenes unfortunately.
@@halbarad7932 Ofcourse the Sept scene was amazing but for me after winds of winter i believe season 7 was the most anticipated season, because plot lines would for the first time collide... but then we got this crap
it had a lot of stuff, the first 20 minutes are a masterpiece of directing and build up, then we had a cool crown moment and dany finally going to westeros, one of my fav moments still!
My top 10 rankings: 10. The Winds of Winter 9. The door 8. Tyrion's trial episode 7. Kissed by fire 6. The lion and the rose(Joffrey 's death episode?) 5. you win or you die 4. The mountain and the red viper 3. The watchers on the wall 2. The battle of blackwater 1. The rains of castamere
The skyrim music in the background is genius. Makes the video automatically nostalgic and mind-numbing (in a good way). It adds such an appropriate ambience and personally helps me focus on the video. Just a really nice touch. Thanks for the content xx
These lists show us that people love WTF moments and big battle scenes. I honestly just love characters, dialogues and plots that make sense. Battle scenes are cool, when they serve the plot and make sense. Like you, watchers on the wall is my favorite episode, and season 4 and 1 are my favorites. But when you look at season 1, it has 0 big battle scenes and it's still an amazing season. I remember seeing people praise season 5 and 6 when they came out, and I was like... this makes no sense, this isn't going anywhere anymore. There were some good scenes, some fine episodes and cool plot lines, but overall I felt like this isn't the masterpiece I was used to and that the show had lost its way. And to the people that blame it all on D and D, yeah, they dropped the ball, but the source material they used also wasn't amazing. The siege of Riverrun, the house of the undying, the faith militants, Frey pies, the death of John only to bring him back(guess that's gonna happen in the nooks as well...). So, even the great Goerge R.R.Martin can run out of great and sophisticated ideas.
0:27 yeah but The Winds of Winter is generally amazing. Personally, my top two episodes has to be The Watchers on the Wall, and The Children, the fact that they’re both back to back just makes Season 4 so good for me

Those lists are based on how much action there is, how emotional they are or whatever Daenerys does with her dragons. Completely ignoring if the episodes are actually good written or important for the overall plot.
I’m thrilled that David and Dan won’t be apart of House of The Dragon. That, along with the fact that House of The Dragon already has an ending written by George R.R Martin, is what gives me hope for that show.

Arya traveling with the Hound are some of the best scenes imo

Personally, I think Watchers On The Wall is one of the top 5 best episodes; great action, great character moments, there’s actual stakes with the characters, and Ygritte’s death was really impactful, 10/10 masterpiece
I remember watching watchers on the wall and immediately saying it's probably my favorite tv episode, like ever of any show. Really hope house of the dragon reaches those heights
Watchers on the wall was the episode that sealed the deal for me, I saw it before rains of caatamere which everyone agrees was an amzing/shocking/brilliant moment. I still remember geeking out about the long panning shot over castle black, and being genuinely confused how no one I spoke to about the show were impressed by that.
Hardhome is the standout episode for me, at the time it was amazing especially after waiting for so long then the uncertainty about the white walkers (before all the bs about them being allowed to be flown over the wall💀)
Having a Season 7 episode at #3 is one of the dumbest things that humans have ever done. And we've done a LOT of dumb sh:t. That episode doesn't even belong in the Top 60. EDIT - Ok I take it all back. The Vulture list is the dumbest thing humans have ever done.
@@lolilol535 I agree, season 5 had awesome moments like Hardhome but it destroyed important characters like Littlefinger, Stannis, did some damage to Sansa's character, ruined the Dorne storyline, got Ser Barristan pointlessly and ingloriously killed, gave massive plot armour to Ramsay and turned him into a Mary Sue only to remove that plot armour in season 6. That's just too many bad things about it to make it ok.
The fact that D&D fucked up making the pilot so badly, got help to get the show on its feet, then, obviously not learning their lesson, repeated the same mistake by fucking up the ending of the show is just another level of outrage.
Good question. I'd say Little Finger's was more insulting to me personally. He was also my favourite, but that's not the reason. Littlefinger continued to scheme. However, his scheming became nonsensical and laughable, and the last episode in which he meets his end is so appalingly insulting to him as a character, and completely against everything we knew about both him, Arya and Sansa, and all of the scenes where it seemed Arya and Sansa would get in conflict with one another were just bait for the audience. It breaks the fourth wall for no other reason than shock value that lasts a good 5 seconds until the audience's brain starts to function and they realize none of it made sense. Meanwhile, Varys just stops being a character completely for about, I don't know, two, three seasons until the writers remember he is actually still around, and they need to build up Dany as a villain even though she didn't really do anything wrong up until this point, so I guess it's bye bye for Varys. Varys goes out with a fizzle, whereas Littlefinger goes out with a bang. Except it's more like one of those tiny bangs a cherry bomb would make, amusing if you have the brain of a 10 year old but not capable of doing much else. So I guess both suck equally bad but for opposite reasons.
The fact that the iron throne is anywhere in the top 60 and the bells for that matter is frankly insulting to read. I would sack anyone who wrote that list if it was my company
Oathkeeper being the 4th worst on Vulture’s list was strangely the thing that shocked me the most. I don’t understand how a decent episode from Season 4 like that one can fall lower than the entirety of Season 7 and 8.
My thoughts during the second list going "Ok, ridiculously low placement of some good early seasons episodes but it's getting better. Ok, top10 looks nice, at nr2 it's really reasonable, I wonder what great episode is their nr 1... ... ... never mind, it's the worst list ever".
jamie wanted to kill deanerys, and he would have let himself be killed for it, because that would end the war and that season four book would say that he was a lovebird, which he really wanted.

The spoils of war episode: Daenerys who lost almost all her ships, manages to land a hord of 100 thousand dothraki( in Lannister controlled territory) and nobody notices it, no one sees them coming and the Lannisters are still somehow caught by surprise, Dany and Jon's romance starts its "development" simply because they are both hot and young and therefore must imediatly begin falling for each other, the guy from the Iron Bank knows that Cersei's cause is a sinking ship but still decides to invest in her when all he has to do is grab the gold she is reapaying him and then not give her another penny, Brann reveals to Littlefinger that he knows what he is up to and Littlefinger doesn't get out of Winterfell. Ah yes trully a top 3 episode.

Not sure how unpopular this is but A Knight of the seven kingdoms to me is honestly better than every S6 and S7 episode aside from winds of winter. It’s not great but it doesn’t have much insanely illogical like with S7 or a bunch of boring, bland scenes like with S6. It has some heart to it and Podrick’s song is beautiful
I mean, I might be superficial, but to me the epicness of for example the Door episode does transcend the mediocrity of the rest of the episode... Winds of winter would be in my top 10 since the first 20 minutes gave us one of the greatest moments in TV history and let's be real, anything that happened afterwards isn't as relevant when talking about the scope of the episode
The Spoils of War was great experience to me, esp. with the battle. It was emotionally charged and you had Dany with a dragon finally showing what they could do in Westeros against Westerosy troops. You had two sides going at it that were not good vs bad, so you had people on both sides that you were rooting for so it was interesting to have those two view point. And the final rush sure it may have been stupid for Jaime to do but I am betting nobody was thinking about that. We were finally seeing the Jaime as warrior in battle that we never had, the crazy mad man going for it trying to take Dany out. And it fits his character. That last moment was one of pure euphoria. Him getting saved was dumb but still that whole scene was on another level. The rest of the episode was OK but the whole battles gives it a gazillion points. It's in the same area of Battle of the Bastards.
to be fair to the bells, it is one of the most beautiful pieces of cinematography ever, especially with it being during the day. obviously from a story and plot perspective, its hot cabbage, but the cinematography tricks casuals into thinking its great. i will say, i do find myself rewatching it from time to time because of the visuals
I honestly couldn't rewatch is even for the visuals. For me the bells is the worst episode. Maybe competing with the last episode of the season. But still Daenerys losing her shit over nothing for me was maybe even more irritating than Bran becoming the king because the way all of previous events turned out before the last episode there just wouldn't be satisfying outcome for anyone becoming the king. But the mad queen arc and whole lot of other characters could've been handled a lot better (Jamie and Greyworm being one of the most jarring ones for me) but were ultimately butchered and that led to the last episode being inevitably garbage.
The bells is the second worst episode of the show. I havent seen much that is worse than it. Adittionally when it destroys the hole series since i dont watch it when i rewatched the series.
I think the problem with a lot of countdowns of TV Show episodes are that they only go on what they remember. That's a problem with episodes like Hardhome, because EVERYONE remembers the battle, it was great, one of the best battle scenes in the show... but people don't account for the rest of the episode, because they either don't remember what happened in it, or flat out don't care. Even in the good episodes like the Red Wedding, yeah, the rest of the episode was good i'm sure, but I can't off the top of my head remember anything else about it. If you told me plot points, sure i'd remember them but I don't associate them with that specific episode like The Red Wedding scene, so to do a proper review of these episodes, I'd have to go back and rewatch them all the way through... and most people I think, can't be bothered to do that.
After season 4 the showrunners and HBO stopped making the show for viewers and fans, and instead made the show for critics and the clapping seals in the one fucking bar.
By the way sean Collins of vulture knows George the author and George literally read many not Sean's writing about the show and the books and this is a direct quote from George about Sean "this guy gets it"
Maybe read Sean's review of the bells and see why he loves it. You don't have to agree but it's way more than because it's a battle episode. Sean is highly knowledgeable about asoiaf including getting praise from George himself who has read some of Sean's work
We have this "situation" in movies and series fandoms where most people just go: wooooooo look at all this action my god the acting is the best -uhh... what acting? All the characters did was yell and shoot guns. -yeaaah dude but did you see ****'s death!! That was intense!! -But that death directly contradicts the plot... -Bravo Vince!
Y'all probably gonna disagree but... I think that "A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms" (s8e2) is on my top 25. To me, it's clearly by far the best episode in s7 & s8. Maybe for the first time since season 4 I felt so close with EVERY characters (the ones inside Winterfell ofc). But maybe I'm overrating this episode by comparing it with the others from s5, 6, 7 & 8. Anyway let's face it, all the others episodes of s8 are easily in the 10 worse episodes of the entire show (The Lasts of the Starks and The Iron Throne being the very worse IMO)
heres mine: Top Game of Thrones episodes: 1. The Winds of Winter: First of all the start of this episode is amazing, the music is great, and how Tommen and the Tyrells die is awesome. The other scenes in this episode are also good, such as when Arya kills the Freys. 2. Kissed By Fire: In my opinion, this episode has the best scene of the entire show, which is Jaime talking about the mad king and his oaths. The other scenes in this episode are also good. I’d put this episode lower, but it has the best scene in the whole show, which is why it deserves a spot at number two. 3. Blackwater: Not only does this episode have the best battle scene, but with Tyrion motivating the people to fight, this episode deserves a spot at number three. Also, seeing Ser Davos’ son die was great. I know he wasn’t in the show for long, but the bits he was in the show for were very annoying. 4. The Laws of Gods and Men: This episode has one of the greatest scenes of the show, Tyrion’s trial. This also has the part where Ser Davos and Stannis speak to the iron bank which is an amazing scene. I mean all in all, this episode is great. 5. The Rains of Castamere: This episode is the red wedding, and…. Well the realization from Catelyn that something is wrong is good, and seeing Robb and Catelyn die is such a good fucking scene. These were two good characters, and them dying is so shocking, and so great.
I think a lot of these people making these lists need to rewatch the series and I don't say that as an insult. Especially Season 6 a lot of the episodes feel elite at the time (especially the last two) but when you deconstruct the episode in the context of the series it falls flat. For example, Wind of Winter was hailed as a masterpiece at the time of its release, and yet if you sit back and deconstruct the episode you start to notice flaws. The Sept blowing up is a great scene but it loses its impact when you realize that Cersei never faces any consequences for her actions. Arya killing Walder Frey is cool but it really has no bearing on the plot going forward and while Frey pies were great in the books, it made no sense in the show. Like even getting beyond the logistics of it, it really serves no purpose other than shock value. Jon and Sansa pretty much forget about Rickon and somehow Littlefinger sticks around in Winterfell after Sansa turns him down. Danaerys just peaces out of Mereen and puts a sellsword who isn't a politician and has no loyalty to the city in charge. Tyrion somehow gets a promotion for messing up all season. The Tower of Joy reveal is amazing but D&D kind of forgot about it because they did R + L = J reveal again in Season 7.
It’s like the people making these lists only remember certain scenes, and forget the rest of the episode they are ranking.

With one entry at #30, I still think you gave season 5 too much credit
I always thought watcher on the wall ended weirdly , suddenly the 100 man of the watch win and thats it ? What was even mance raider plan
@@lolilol5346 Mance’s plan was to test their defences.
@@lolilol5346
To test the defences.
Totally agree, it was my favorite episode from the moment I first watched
Also the single best line of the entire series is in that episode if I'm not mistaken.
"If any man dies with a clean sword, I'll rape his fucking corpse! - the Hound
Totally agree that's the one episode that stuck out to me above all others.
Agreed
Ouch! Imagine putting The Long Night and the Bells in a Top 5. It hurts just thinking about it.
When I watched Game of Thrones for the first time I loved seasons 6 and 7. After basically studying the whole show I can honestly say that seasons 1 to 4 rule and the later seasons don't hold up at all. Also, Watchers on the Wall is my favorite episode.
I agree, and i still love season 5 and 6, especially 6.
Season 6 is still decent, season 7 is weak and season 8 is pure garbage
Season 6 was great
@@stevem2323 me too
9:31 “Let’s just say, we just start at #10. That we didn’t see the atrocities that was above this.”
#9 “The Long Night” (Season 8 episode 3)
That sounds about right.
Tbh I love 6x10. Not just because of the start, but because of all the great scenes. There isnt a single bad scene in this episode and I cant understand why everybody is saying it only has one good scene.
Absolutley, tower of joy is perfection.
yeah im not sure why it gets a bad rep, i guess cause its season 6 and the dialog isnt as good, but all the scenes in that episode are great.
@@stevem2323 "perfection"
Dumb fight choreography that's been ripped to shreds by both arms experts and just regular people in general, a nonsensical time travel trip that serves no purpose and risks Bran's life apparently and teaches Bran nothing of value in terms of his skill in uhm...time travel that he never uses after this point? Ok.
You know, dual wielding is only cool if your opponents aren't dumbasses that refuse to stab you in the back when the moment is there. Also, it's just generally a bad idea to do it if you have a shield regardless. But "cool moment shut up brain" I guess is a good reason to like it.
@@RedFloyd469 Tower of joy has fight choreography? You don't say?
Baby Jon fighting Ned perhaps?
OMG! lucky
I'm glad I'm not the only one who loved Watchers on The Wall. Was such a great episode and it never got the love it deserved.
1:33
Also it says - *"Season 3's big battle episode"*
Of course, of course IGN.
My top 10 rankings:
10. The Winds of Winter
9. The door
8. Tyrion's trial episode
7. Kissed by fire
6. The lion and the rose(Joffrey 's death episode?)
5. you win or you die
4. The mountain and the red viper
3. The watchers on the wall
2. The battle of blackwater
1. The rains of castamere
the mountain and the viper is goated, my personal favourite. also, mockingbird is fire
The skyrim music in the background is genius. Makes the video automatically nostalgic and mind-numbing (in a good way). It adds such an appropriate ambience and personally helps me focus on the video. Just a really nice touch. Thanks for the content xx
Ahhh that Beautiful ELDER SCROLLS music at the beginning hey?
always a reminder of possible Angelic and Elven Realms
Jeremy Soule's music just makes your videos perfect for me
Keep it up
The Bells on #1
I am still laughing.
Yeah right. To me top 1 WORST episode definitely rather xD.
Yeah definitely one of the worst.
The Iron Throne is the worst episode though.
0:27 yeah but The Winds of Winter is generally amazing. Personally, my top two episodes has to be The Watchers on the Wall, and The Children, the fact that they’re both back to back just makes Season 4 so good for me
agreed
It’s because winds of winter wasn’t in season 1-5, so it automatically needs to be hated
@@Chadius_Thundercock exactly. sept of baelor explosion, jon parentage reveal, jon named king in the north, dany going to westeros after 6 seasons, tyrion named hand of the king, davos and melisandres scene with perfect acting, and sam making it to oldtown all in one episode is just so bad only because its in season 6.
and arya getting revenge against the freys after 3 seasons AND cersei becoming queen. what more could u ask for in a episode??
@@AB-yj2wy Lots of stupid scenes and nonsene. Everything wrong with D&D writing and execution on full display here. They just decided to press the delete button for so many plots that had been built up for several seasons. Terrible episode with great visuals
Seems to me like all these publications haven't watched any episodes since they aired, forgot most of what happened, then picked each episode based on "moments" rather than the episode as a whole.
@6:23 "Oysters, clams and cockleeeeeees" hahaha this killed me
You should check out Glidus ranking. I think you would agree 100% with his list.
Those lists are based on how much action there is, how emotional they are or whatever Daenerys does with her dragons.
Completely ignoring if the episodes are actually good written or important for the overall plot.
1st episode 1st season. IT WAS SO GOOD! why is it not here???
Mr Supercuts, I've been following you for years now. PLEASE, PLEASE PLEEEAAASEEE do your own GoT Character tier list.
I’m thrilled that David and Dan won’t be apart of House of The Dragon. That, along with the fact that House of The Dragon already has an ending written by George R.R Martin, is what gives me hope for that show.

Love your GoT content---just joined as a patron, too. Looking forward to a video on the best speeches one of these days!
My fav is the one where Tyrion comes in to rain on Cersei’s parade by being appointed hand of the king by their father and intruding smugly on their council meeting lol I love the small intimate moments a bit more than most of the action. Arya traveling with the Hound are some of the best scenes imo

You should make a ranking of rankings
It's so easy sometimes to forget how bad or at the very least how average certain scenes are in an episode that features a big event climax.
for me personally the watchers on the wall was my fav episode , it felt like a complete movie , and i just loved the battle sequences in that episode
HARDHOME????
Jon Snow's first faceoff with the Night King had us soo much tensed.
That episode is definitely my TOP 3
I swear I thought I was the only one who thought the battle with those skeletons were goofy
🤣🤣🤣
Personally, I think Watchers On The Wall is one of the top 5 best episodes; great action, great character moments, there’s actual stakes with the characters, and Ygritte’s death was really impactful, 10/10 masterpiece
I remember watching watchers on the wall and immediately saying it's probably my favorite tv episode, like ever of any show. Really hope house of the dragon reaches those heights
4:03 There's Plot Armour in earlier seasons too
Watchers on the wall was the episode that sealed the deal for me, I saw it before rains of caatamere which everyone agrees was an amzing/shocking/brilliant moment. I still remember geeking out about the long panning shot over castle black, and being genuinely confused how no one I spoke to about the show were impressed by that.
I see that Glidus taught you well on what is good and bad.
Season 1-4: Amazing
Season 5-6: Ok
Season 7: Disappointment
Season 8: Jeez...
I'm sorry but season 5-6 are not Ok , they are bad , we have to stop with this false narrative that it was 'ok'
Nah. I think Season 5 and 6 were good. Sure there are some dump moments but its not like they dont also exist in earlier seasons / books.
@@lokidoki525 nah too many characters and plotlines ruined they were not good.
The fact that D&D fucked up making the pilot so badly, got help to get the show on its feet, then, obviously not learning their lesson, repeated the same mistake by fucking up the ending of the show is just another level of outrage.
5. The Lion and the Rose
4. The Reins of Castamere
3. The Mountain and the Viper
2. Baelor
1. Blackwater
My favorite character was Varys, my brother's favorite character was Little Finger...which one of us got the worse payoff?
I would sack anyone who wrote that list if it was my company
p.s: last one didn't have rains of castamere in it
That Vulture writer was on some seriously good shit when he did his rankings.
I'm cracking tf up at him making sounds like he's literally been punched in the nuts every time he continues scrolling. 😆
Oathkeeper being the 4th worst on Vulture’s list was strangely the thing that shocked me the most. I don’t understand how a decent episode from Season 4 like that one can fall lower than the entirety of Season 7 and 8.
I totally forgot the siege of Meereen even happened
My thoughts during the second list going "Ok, ridiculously low placement of some good early seasons episodes but it's getting better. Ok, top10 looks nice, at nr2 it's really reasonable, I wonder what great episode is their nr 1... ... ... never mind, it's the worst list ever".
jamie wanted to kill deanerys, and he would have let himself be killed for it, because that would end the war and that season four book would say that he was a lovebird, which he really wanted.
whichever episode had "chaos is a ladder" in it is my favourite. That line has so much meaning if you think about it. And the music when he said that....ahhh

2: Lion and Wolf
3: Rains of Castamere
4: Watchers on the Wall
5: Battle of Bastards
6: Blackwater
7: Laws of God's and Men
8: Kissed by Fire
9: Mother's Mercy
10: Hardhome

I would expect IGN to put seasons 8 episode in there list, I am really surprised lol
Meh , it was fan service : the episode for me .
No
Oh, I dissagree with you, S01E01 was epic. No magic (other than the intro), just politics, intrigue, fucking great.
I also like that the design of kingslanding in the first episode and that every location is named inside the episode.
Yeah I don't know if I'd put the pilot in the top 10 but it's a damn good episode, especially for a pilot.
I love this kind of videos
I mean, I might be superficial, but to me the epicness of for example the Door episode does transcend the mediocrity of the rest of the episode... Winds of winter would be in my top 10 since the first 20 minutes gave us one of the greatest moments in TV history and let's be real, anything that happened afterwards isn't as relevant when talking about the scope of the episode
Arya sellin clams
Brahhhh 😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I love the skyrim music in the background
"The bells" best episode... 20 dollars and that take would be worth 20 dollars.
Yes, I am a fan
You will never change my opinion on season 6
I am convinced that these website lists were made by David and Dan “Dumb and Dumber”
Have you seen the glidus supercut? It would be a great reaction to
The Spoils of War was great experience to me, esp. with the battle. It's in the same area of Battle of the Bastards.
agreed!
agree
Choosing "The Bells" for number 1 must be a criminal offence persecuted in every country of the world
Supercuts: I like coherent action and good dialogue.
IGN: DOI! DRAGON GOES BRRR!
to be fair to the bells, it is one of the most beautiful pieces of cinematography ever, especially with it being during the day. obviously from a story and plot perspective, its hot cabbage, but the cinematography tricks casuals into thinking its great. i will say, i do find myself rewatching it from time to time because of the visuals
I thought the second list was going on its jaime lannister redemption arc, then there was the no.1 placement.
After season 4 the showrunners and HBO stopped making the show for viewers and fans, and instead made the show for critics and the clapping seals in the one fucking bar.
You should react to the only true ranking, the one from Glimbus the glombor
The laws of gods and men must be in one of these lists
By the way sean Collins of vulture knows George the author and George literally read many not Sean's writing about the show and the books and this is a direct quote from George about Sean "this guy gets it"
Sean is widely known in the asoiaf community by George and many of us. He has been writing about asoiaf since before the show even came out.
Maybe read Sean's review of the bells and see why he loves it. You don't have to agree but it's way more than because it's a battle episode. Sean is highly knowledgeable about asoiaf including getting praise from George himself who has read some of Sean's work
We have this "situation" in movies and series fandoms where most people just go: wooooooo look at all this action my god the acting is the best
-uhh... what acting?
Beyond The Wall is also one of the very worse, sorry I forgot that piece of sh*t
i agree its the best episode in the last 2 season, but putting it above any episode from 1-4 no way

1:00 they said Watchers on the Wall is season 3 😂
heres mine:
Top Game of Thrones episodes:
These lists might give me an aneurysm
The fact that The Bells, my personal least favourite GoT episode of all of them was listed as number 1 by anyone make me crease a little bit.
Just imagine that you want someone to get the hell out of your cities AND you burn their ships. Whyyy...
Blackwater and watchers on the wall are far and away my favorite of the show
Petition to never let Supercuts use the term Deus ex machina anymore 😂
