Thank you so much!! I could smell the dampness and found water all in the back and couldn't figure out where it was coming from... As soon as it stops raining I will be doing this... It's been raining for 2 weeks straight 😧

Thank you. Greatly appreciated this video. It helped me verify that my 2008 Prius had a leak in the boot.

the water leaks mainly come from the body seams under the black roof molding.if you have water in the 12 volt area that's your problem .they need to be resealed

Thank you this seems to be a common problem you are the first to find it correctly lets hope this fixes it for me blew a main battery rusted it this way from the humidity went through 3 smaller batteries because of the humidity leak problem thanks Has very low mileage when this happened and we have been fighting it getting batteries etc. replaced and the last person said you have a leak here causing problems so we are trying to find it

Thanks. This saved me hours of trying to figure out where the water was coming in. I was going to try to pry off all the interior panels of the liftgate windows because the leak seemed to be getting in from the rear window, perhaps at the rear wiper gasket. But all I had to do was seal the little cracks. I never asked the dealer if they knew the source of these leaks. I bet they would have charged a lot if they did know how to fix this, even though the fix is so easy.

    • @FixYOURride13
      @FixYOURride13  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

witam, to prawda to popularny problem skutkiem tego jest korozja na złączach HV baterii warto to zakleić sprawdź jeszcze białą kostkę tył lewa strona kapie na nią woda i przestaje działać wentylator HV baterii, ja użyłem silikonu do silników który pozostaje po wyschnięciu elastyczny ,możesz zastosować paste blacharską, dostaniesz ją w każdym motoryzacyjnym sklepie ( chyba) :)
      Pozdrawiam
      Rafał.

Did Toyota send out a recall about that problem for that type of car?

Hi from France. Got water in my 12v battery compartment coming from the top of the trunk. I noticed the water seeps into the foam on the top right side of the trunk then flows drop by drop into the 12v compartment.
Error codes P0AC0, P0AC1 and sometimes P0A90 readen with Dr Prius app.
My dealership changed the inverter. Problem is still here.
Dr Prius App says my Hybrid Battery is fine. I should check all the water problems and seal it... with my garden hose maybe. My Prius drove fine until I wash it 2 weeks after buying it. The next day Christmas tree happened. Now I hope my hybrid ECU isn't dead because of humidity. It's been 6 months now that I'm stuck with these error codes and my car won't run in electric mode.

@@FixYOURride13 thank you I will have a look tomorrow.
I've already checked the connectors in the right side but never in the left side for now !

    • @thibautsoufflet44

I checked it yesterday and everything is fine no corrosion.
I think the real problem is a part malfunctionning in the HV battery case. Especially this one : G4283-47030 Toyota Sensor Battery Current.
It's relative to P0AC0 and P0AC1 errors in the Toyota documentations. I ordered a new one. Fingers crossed now.

@@thibautsoufflet44... maybe need only clean the battery connection it is very common problem after water condensation. Check my Facebook Fixyourride Garage few pictures is there. (04.04.2020) after disconnected all battery packs check singel battery power if will be different must be replaced.

      @@FixYOURride13 Thanks for the advice.
I've already done it and even changed the orange cables and copper pieces of the HV battery for brand new. Also tested with another used but working HV ECU. So the last part not tested is G4283-47030.
Problems occuring because of corrosion of HV Battery copper parts is often associated with P0AFA error code (and sometimes P0AC0 or/and P0AC1 in addition of P0AFA)
Dr Prius app and Torque Pro App both show a good HV battery health ;)
