I bought the leather cleaning kit for my better halfs truck who swore it was clean after using it and just to have her say I was wrong was worth any price another great video Joey
I don‘t quite understand. On the thumbnail as well as in your video, you (correctly) say after the cleaning process that this is what leather should look like: MATTE! But after you applied your conditioner and „ceramic coating“, we can clearly see that both added a lot of shine.
Hi Andrea, that's a great observation! Basically the "Before" 'shine' is actually grime and body oils that have accumulated on the surface, which is bad. The shine you're seeing while applying the conditioner and ceramic-based protectant, is actually just because it's wet when first applied. Once you wipe the excess with microfiber and let it fully dry, it finishes matte/oem, like the "After" shots at the end of the video.
In the video demonstrating Hydroleather with Henry, the recommended process is to apply Hydroleather before Leather Conditioner and this video contradicts that. Which method is correct? Also, Henry says to wipe it off within 30 seconds whereas this video says to let it sit around 6 minutes then wipe it off. Which of these is correct?
Quick question, I have what seems to be both these products and they work amazingly, however my letter cleaner is like a thick looking yellowish color, is that a different product than what is used in the video??
Can I use this conditioner on ceramic coated leather? My brand-new car was ceramic coated, and I was told that the only work I need to do is to keep it clean, now I noticed the coating is fading, should I condition it or fix the coating?
I have Black Luminous Glow Infusion Paste Wax but want to use pete's 53 carnauba paste wax. Should I used before or after adding Black Luminous Glow Infusion Paste Wax?
You should not use any leather conditioner on leather seats as it is coated from factory. Simply need to use light cleaner then wipe with damp cloth and it's done.
We recommend using conditioner on seats to prevent them from cracking or discoloring. The coating that leather comes with from the factory will not help keeping them soft and looking brand new.
Hi Brent, the ceramic coating you're likely referring to is probably similar to our Carbon Force (www.chemicalguys.com/products/carbon-force-ceramic-protective-paint-coating-system) which is a professional-grade coating that hardens on paint and is not meant for leather surfaces. HydroLeather is infused with SiO2 technology (the same as many ceramic coatings) so it contains a ceramic-based protectant, but is still soft and supple. Both Leather Conditioner and HydroLeather have protectants, and in this video we wanted to demonstrate how to use them both. You don't necessarily need to stack them on top of each other.
@@ChemicalGuys carbon force is a real ceramic coating but everytime some calls hydroslick or similar a ceramic coating it pisses me off because people are out here getting scammed out of thousands thinking they have a ceramic coating when all they have is hydroslick. Also im a professional detailers i use real interior and exterior ceramic coatings so I know the difference and its a big difference.

Is hydroleather safe on Nappa leather?
Can i use these products on perforated seats?
Absolutely!!
first time having ventilated seats... will all that foam damage them?
How often should you clean the leather. Garage kept but daily driver outside at work.

I would prefer a white or beige leather video example.....
Great feedback!
I had 900 points at a chemical guys detail store and the store closed down …

Vegan leather is the most ridiculous name I heard today. It should be called what it is synthetic leather.
stop calling stuff a ceramic coating when its not. A ceramic coating wouldn't even work over a conditioner.
