Was it hard to branch off from tsa? For instance I’m with tsa but I want to go into customs or ICE

It's not difficult to branch off but it's definitely a long process. You can apply to customs or ICE when you see a job opening post that you qualify for and want to apply to. The trick comes in when you leverage your experience to the job you're trying to switch to. Either using your prior work experience, the skills you gained at TSA, your education or a combination of all 3.

When you become a certified Badged TSA officer do you get a pay raise?

Yes you do, but it won’t be much. I have to go look at old posts to see what people said they got paid. They didn’t do it this way when I was hired.

Sir, what if you received a jury duty summons during your processing???

Just let HR know, they will reschedule you, and go to jury duty.

@@theTSAguy , can I wait till processing is done and then tell them, and what exactly do you mean by reschedule? Like start all over from the beginning ??

@moisesperez3 if anything conflicts with jury duty, it will just be rescheduled to a different date.

@@theTSAguy Sir, do people fail Medical and physical by Acuity ( who is evaluating medical and physical exams) a lot ? And have to appeal??

@moisesperez3 some people do fail but they simply appeal and then get the medical approval. Don’t worry about it.

Thanks for your video ❤sir its really helped. I just send my sF86 but didnt get any letter yet for airport assessment . How long i have to wait for final offer letter from sf 86 ? Thank you sir .

Depends on how fast the investigator can process your application. For mine it was 2 weeks and I was given an interim clearance to start. My final clearance came 6 months later. I just got a latter uploaded to my employee profile.
Rule of thumb - if you haven’t been fired, just assume you have a job and keep going to work. If anyone needs to find you…they know where to look.
