exactly, if I want to upgrade to 7000 series, I'll have to upgrade motherboard and ram as well. Now at least for me, the current prices in our place still doesn't justify the performance uplift over my 5600x so I'm staying until it got better prices.

@@yourworstnightmare9893 What I would recommend is just enabling PBO in the bios, set cpu boost clock override to +200mhz and set curve optimizer to negative and all cores -20. This is basically guaranteed to be stable and will offer a nice performance boost and lower temperatures over stock.
If I could have found the 7500F from major retailers like Amazon / Newegg I would have bought it if it was $160 or less. The 7600X was only $199 so the higher clocks and iGPU was a worthwhile purchase at $199. I have two 7600x/6700XT in matching Silverstone Media PC's both with Gskill CL30 6000MT ram and solid mid ranged AM5 boards.
@@apoorvbelsare9594Yes using EXPO on most of them. I have tried running some 6400MT CL32 Trident ram and was getting stress test errors in Prime95. Once I used the exact timings of my Trident 6000MT CL30 expo ram the errors went away. So in my experience 6000 cl30 has worked no problem with only 2 sticks. 4 sticks doesn’t work well at all.

I have had some stability issues with one of the last upgrades but I think it could be the board or maybe the Trident XMP 6400/CL32 RAM that I have set down to 6000/CL30 spec. So not sure if it is RAM stability or not but all my stock 6000/CL30 kits seem to be very stable. Sorry for the 2 month late reply.

Personally I am getting 13k in cine bench with a 620 mobo. Not sure how much it affects games, but I think you should get b650 for future cpus as am5 will be supported for a long time.
Hi, did you test to overclock 7500f using the A620 board? If yes, could it be the factor that the overclocking is not going well? I saw several other videos that they are testing at least using b650 and oc it through ryzen master with 5.5 ghz 1.25v and it runs just fine. Also A620 based on the AMD website is not support ryzen overclocking.
Why do you even need to overclock it? It's pointless. The bottleneck in games is going to be the GPU. You need rtx 4080 super to start hitting 7500f limits
the box version is rare to find and much more expensive than the tray version. Better buy the tray version and a 20$ cooler with at least 2 heatpipes (something like the Freezer 7 from Arctic is the minimum I would use with this CPU)

The sweet spot is the 7600 non-x, that was obvious from the start, I was an early adopter of the 7600, do I feel ripped-off? Not in the slightest, if I wanted to be ripped off I would buy intel "14th" gen. My 7600 with 6000 DDR5 gives 14500 in Cinebench R23 multi processor.

PBO negative curve-30 all cores downgrade from 130W to 115W and my all cores 4.1Ghz went to 4.4Ghz, then I increase PBO scale from auto to x10 and BLCK from 100/auto to 102 and getting 4.54Ghz all cores on load and idle. With undervolt and overclock I went down by 15C temp. Idle at 40C becuze of 3D-cash technology and gaming temp at 72C.
If we pick ddr4-3600Mhz 16cl vs ddr5-6000Mhz 30cl difference will be minimal like 1% fps better in gaming overall. Some game can benefits from memmory clocks but most does not.

Update bios then Update amd chipset for your CPU, now you have to get in to bios and enable PBO then PBO negative curve-30 all cores, now increase +200Mhz in PBO, at PBO you will find a scale says auto change to manually and use x10 to make sure CPU stays on boost speed so long as possible then you should use Motherboard limits when it comes to PPT, TDC, EDC. Now your CPU will boost one core and multicore depending on how good your cooler is.
you lost the silicon lottery. mine can hit 5.5ghz stable. was it worth it? not over 5.45ghz. at 5.45ghz mine never goes above 85 c in cinebench on the 10 minute mode using a thermalright phantom spirit

Wtf did you cool these with, my 7800x3d runs cooler while boosting higher and using more power 110 watts in cinebench r23 and 2024, it never even touches 80c while boosting to 5ghz all cores and using 110 watts, why is your 7600x overheating at 90 watts? None of the amd cpus i had ever rwn that hot, 5600,5600,5900x5800x3d 3700x, 1700 anf 7800x3d , the 5800x3d 7800x3d and 7900x where the hottest, vcache cpus understandable, my 5900x i had it with pbo to the max 200+ watts so also understandable, the rest of the cpus all ran below 70c under full lohavemy 5600x is in a 8l sff case with a idcooling is 40x which is a super small 40mm in height low profile cooler and it legit runs 30c cooler than your 7600x, mount the coolers properly or get better thermal paste or cooler.

I can recommed it, got a new rig 2 months ago with a 7500f and its a price/performance beast. Be aware that it only officially supports ram speed of 5200 but its the same for the 7600 and x version.

Overclocking wise i guess i should do it on mine because on my 7500f the max stock temp is only 65°C (all cores at 95-100%)

650 allow undervolting - musthave if you have problems with temp of Cpu
650 also allows CPU overclocking. The 620 only lets you overclock the memory afaik...
