woa woa woa, i've already watched almost a hundred videos of you 3 minute board games, now im subscribing!!!! thank you heaps for all this quick info you provide!
Such a different experience this game. And that's what makes it stand of for me. Can anyone name another game with that same sort of "tension" i describe in the vid?
As a son of a WWII vet, I have a policy of never playing games where I could be on the side of the Nazis and they can win. Technically that's the case with this game but I'd totally make an exception since winning means, as you poignantly noted, you get to kill Hitler. :)
I'm honestly surprised I don't make more terrible stuff ups. I'm back working full time, so whenever i'm doing channel stuff, its late in the evening :) I found another big stuff up before going live as well. If you listen to the player numbers, the sound quality is different to the rest of the track, as I recorded it as 4 players, and had to redo it.
I've seen you recommend this game in several of your videos. First it was off putting , because I did not want to have a game that would not only bring Hitler into my home, but put him right into the middle of my table. But the things you said in your video just stuck with me and I decided to give it a go. OH WOW! You were so right about that subtle build up of the tension. It is not at all like putting out fires and reacting to situations. Here the pressure builds slowly but will escalate into not only a sense of urgency, but almost panic: because at the very end you know it is your last chance. And this is such a breath of fresh air compared to other coop games! And examining myself, I have to admit it is satisfying to rewrite history, if only in a boardgame. I am not a big fan of dice heavy luck-fests. BUT, I feel here it IS thematic. The conspirators might have had all the motivation in the world, the right guy delivering the briefcase, the perfect explosives, but that darn thing was moved away at the last moment in July of 1944 leaving Dolfi without a scratch. Except in our version of events, after five unsuccessful assassination attempts we finally managed to blow him up with said briefcase. Thank you for the recommendation!
Totally agree. Many criticisms of the game are that it comes down to one dice roll. But for me, that's the genius of the game. The excitement of the one roll that matters is legit great. Wonderfully tense game.
3 Minute Board Games on every recommendation: If you're looking for similar party/worker placement/deck builder/area control/co-op/solo/competitive game try This War of Mine. j/k :P
I stuffed up the solo logo, i've added a pop up correction. My bad.
I LOVE this game! That tension is amazing and it creates stand up moments every time I play it!
Yeah, it really does. And it just feels unlike most other co-ops.
Maybe its time to make a video for secret Hitler so that you get a chance to re-use that "killing Hitler" Icon.

Maybe Eldritch Horror?
So you say this game has a solo mode, but the opening graphic made it appear as if there isn't. Otherwise keep up the great work!
Yeah, total mistake on the graphic there,
Great vid mate. Keep it up.
Next up I want an Inglourious Basterds Board Game so that you can reuse that icon!
Or wolfenstein :)
@@3MBG isn’t that on Kickstarter for late pledges?!
Since Bioshock escape from rapture will sadly only be in my dreams 🥲
Ha, i didnt know there actually was a wolfenstein game in the works. Classic
@@3MBG I just got Marquis second edition to get my Notsee killing fix

You say "there is a solo mode" and then cross the solo mode out...?
Hhaahaha, OOOPS.
That's what we call, a giant stuff up. Apologies.
3 Minute Board Games
Never mind, I still love your channel!

You are able to cram the gist of the 1 hour videos into 3 minutes and that's good enough for me :D

I like this war of mine :)
They should do a second edition where they clarify some rules update the difficulty levels or even update the target to something more 2020 related ^^
or you can just skip the whole game, roll 6 dice and check if you rolled 3 sixes. If you have - you won the game :)
