Hey everyone! I hope you enjoy this week's video all about some of my favourite Autumn destinations in Europe. Again, please comment other recommendations/cool spots that I can add to my future sightseeing list! I know this list is short and barely scrapes the surface haha :) You can read the written version here: happytowander.com/places-to-visit-in-europe-in-the-fall/
My vote is for Prague... Foliage is amazing comparable to Vermont USA... Disappointed because my lovely Paris and Toulouse in France are not mentioned. The french aura of romantic autunn is hard to describe...but you are " in the groove" , it is a melancholia to be remembered for life . I heard about Southern Germany and the Dolomite..will try to hit those with austrian excursions this fall.😊😊😊
Octoberfest in Munich is a hoot but for me I head to Malta. Great climate in autumn , more history than you can throw a stick at, nice friendly locals and great food. English is widely spoken, Public transport is not ideal but it's fine for most people and overall Malta is cheap if you avoid the high season.
A few ex of attractions worth visiting in Romania are Peleş Castle and Corvin Castle, Fairy Valley. Besides Transylvania, Maramureș area and Bucharest are also amazing to visit during fall. 🍁
Great video! That made me dream~~~~ I won't be travelling this fall but I am suppose to go to Europe in January. I need a place that has pretty much no snow or no snow. Any rec?
Thanks for watching!! Weather can be unpredictable but if your goal is to avoid snow then I would stick to Southern Portugal, Southern Spain, Southern Italy, Malta or Southern Greece :) Hope that helps!
I'm currently doing research and am very grateful for your videos. Can you tell me about what you use or recommend to film when you travel? I'd like to get a bluetooth selfie stick as I'll be traveling solo and plan to take photos or videos with my iphone. But I'd like something that extends a little so I get more of the view in. Nothing crazy, and I'm not a content creator. But I'd like to have some lovely photos and footage and not all with my arm outstretched! Stabilization seems great but I'm not sure if I need it that fancy. Anyways, if you use something, I'd love to know. Even if I get a selfie stick, I may not use it in areas that you mentioned to watch out for pickpocketing. I'm not sure if I'd feel secure extending my phone like that.
Hi! I honestly just use the wide angle lens on my phone most of the time when I’m not using my full Sony mirrorless camera. It’s quite pricey but I know Insta360 do an “invisible selfie stick” that gets edited out automatically with their app. Worth looking into if you don’t mind spending the extra. Otherwise, as they say, the best camera is just the one you have on you! :)
Hi thanks for the wonderful video ! May I ask if I plan to visit Switzerland 3rd week of Sept till mid Oct, will I see the full autumn foliage? Or I shall go only 1st week of October if I have onlt 2 weeks to spare? As I notice I always go when the colour is still changing from green to yellow or either too late, which all leaves are gone… 😅 pls advise. Thanks

Thanks for watching!! Northern Italy is BEYOND dreamy. Hope you guys can go see for yourself sometime soon :)
Transylvania is apparently great to visit.
Ooh yes I’ve heard Bran Castle does some really cool stuff for Halloween. Definitely need to go back and see for myself!
