These 3 vids are awesome, Scott! I am totally sold on this app to integrate my backing tracks with lyric/song/set lists. Can’t wait to try out using multi-track backing tracks with my Mackie DL32S to really take control of the on-stage mix(es) AND to further leverage the use of Midi to control my HX Effects and my Triple Crown 100 with Stage Traxx. - Chris
Great video Scott! One thing that I have found very useful for using the settings when every song starts playback or stops or ends - I send a command to my Behringer XR18 (using the WIDI bluetooth module) to mute the vocal reverb and delay so that when I talk to the audience between songs, they can understand me better. It works very well....
I'm having a hard time making this work on my MR12.😢 Done everything as instructed in vid I think. Tried Widi master connected to both midi in and out on mixer. Midimittr picking up widimaster fine. Tried specific midi commands as well as midi learn - Stagetraxx just waits for midi event. Really frustrating! Any advice greatly appreciated!
So much easier than BandHelper. This may be the app I've been looking for. Now to start the process of converting my entire repertoire. (ugh) Thanks Scott!
Yeah, I’m starting the massive conversion from Set List Maker over to Stage Traxx 3. At least they’ll be one lot of all multi-track, as Set List Maker I needed seperate song files if I want drums in or out.
I’ve watched so many midi type videos that now it’s starting to make sense and yours always tie everything into an understandable format! Thanks for all your help.
Scott, you are very thorough. Thanks for putting the effort into creating time markings, all the helpful links, et cetera. You explain a lot very concisely. You set the bar!
Very helpful, learned a lot from the series! Thank you Scott for all your effort of putting this all up and thanks a lot to Peter for this great app. The community and support of this app is second to none. ❤
This was such a game-changer for us. Timed MIDI commands on ST3 now controls Snapshot selection and Vocal FX channel mute on the XR18 Mixer, Presets and FX on the HX Stomp XL and triggers a wide selection of DMX fixtures in the lightshow using a Wolfmix for MIDI->DMX. It's a shedload of work to set it up but the shows are seamless!! Thank you 👌
Three weeks ago I had no knowledge about how to use tracks to play my music. Thank you for all the information presented in a pleasant and concise manner. Now I understand that very well.
This video series was awesome Scott! I just found Stage Traxx a few weeks ago and it's just so far above what I've found in any other iOS app (coming from using Multitracker, which was my previous favorite). There's just so many things you can do in this app with this MIDI. I'm a drummer running backing tracks from a Yamaha DTX Multi 12 and I have so much control it's crazy. My favorite so far though is being able to just hit a pad and increase or decrease the track tempo by 2% with each hit. It's nice to have that flexibility in a live situation where you might want to push things a bit. And it's so subtle I can do it gradually throughout a song and no one even notices. But it can sometimes make playing with backing tracks sound more natural. Anyway, great videos! I'll be back for more.
Thank you Scott for this series of videos, I am starting to work with multitracks and this software is spectacular, thank you for the time and dedication in explaining how it works, now let me approve it with the band, greetings
Finally the third video! Thank you Scott for this mini series! You definitely convinced me to use ST3. Now I'll just wait if I'll be the lucky one or will have to purchase it myself 🙂 Thank you again, your channel is awesome!
Now I gotta hold out to buy it myself to hopefully be a lucky drawing winner! Even though I'm deep into the backing tracks, I may seriously spend the time to multitrack these vs just the mixed down backing track. The nerd in me wants to go all in, but we will see.
Wow. I watched all three videos and I am impressed on the possibilities. And thanks also to Peter for the extra give away. Many thanks to you Scott for taking the effort to put this videos togehter. I really appreciatie it. ❤❤❤

Awesome videos on Stage Traxx 3 Scott. Currently using Songbook Pro with Android/Iphone/and PC however seriously reconsidering Purchasing IPad for my musical performances. After watching all 3 parts (4), and trialing version on my Iphone, Stage Traxx 3 seems to have everything I would ever need. Thanks again for this valuable informaton
These are very bloody good, well done. These have definitely swayed my decision to consider purchasing Stagetraxx 3. Thank you for taking the time to show case this app.
This is great stuff! In the past, the long or difficult learning curve for things like this was so time consuming, many of us would just avoid it because we really just want to play, not spend countless hours fiddling with gadgets (I used to be an field engineer that set up program logic control systems (PLC), so I'm not a Ludite, but playing is the point, not fiddling) But this app makes it very attractive and has convinced me to update and modernize my rig. Great video series Scott, you do a great job of making it crystal clear.

You can use two wireless WIDI devices, yes 👍 or you can daisy chain. Wireless in to your guitar fx and then cable out of the guitar fx (from out or thru) and into the vocal fx
Hey Scott, thank you for all three videos, very informative, really looks like a very cool app they must have, looks like you’re cold is gone must’ve been the peanut butter tea, lol.
Hey Scott, urgent question about the common bank select command (CC0). My modeler has presets 0 through 127 on Bank 0 and 0 through 127 on Bank 1. The custom preset I want to activate would be PC69 on Bank 1 (which is Preset "50A" on my amp) of my device. So I'm doing as follows: [midi@00:00.00: cc0.1@4] > Telling my device to switch to bank 1 on channel 4 at zero seconds into the song [midi@p00:01.00: pc69@4] > Telling my device to switch to preset 69 at one secons into the song (I've found out that you can't have multiple commands working on the same time, hence 1 second after the first command) The pc command works fine, but it's switching to PC69 on Bank 0 (which is preset "18A" on my amp) instead of PC69 on Bank 1. So for some reason it's not accepting the bank switch command. Do you have any idea what I'm doing wrong? I've never worked with MIDI before, but everything else, like changing presets, activating and deactivating effects within a song at certain timecodes, perfeclty works. It's just the bank switch that kills me. Also important: I even tried ST3's learning method, so I went to "Edit Lyrics", hit the midi icon, startet the song and manually activated the desired preset on the modeler itself.
So I'm doing as follows:
[midi@00:00.00: cc0.1@4] > Telling my device to switch to bank 1 on channel 4 at zero seconds into the song
[midi@p00:01.00: pc69@4] > Telling my device to switch to preset 69 at one secons into the song (I've found out that you can't have multiple commands working on the same time, hence 1 second after the first command)
The pc command works fine, but it's switching to PC69 on Bank 0 (which is preset "18A" on my amp) instead of PC69 on Bank 1.
ST3 recognized the input (as PC69) and I thought all was well. But wenn I saved the settings and startet the backing track, it STILL activated PC69 on Bank 0, so it did, but also did not really recognice the correct midi command.
BTW, if that helps you to help me: My device is the Harley Benton DnaFX Git Pro modeler (manual with midi mapping online available) from Thomann. Sadly, even they couldn't help me because it seems quite specific and they don't know how ST3 works.
