What’s fascinating about this demo is that the background notation/hints appear in my right ear-music in my left ear-just like you taught in your previous videos. Thank you for your research and sharing.
This is awesome. Thank you for the run through. I have a few keys and synths parts. If I am on bass I can still have that full sound live. This app just makes it so much easier.
Thanks! And yeah, I need multitracking with my setup, so that’s what I’m using as well. But my old band definitely would have used this! And I actually use it for when I run sound for a wedding ceremony as well. That fade out makes it so easy and clean 🤘 Thanks for watching as always!
Nice Vid; this one is a must-watch; it's worth your time every second. Especially, I just found out how to automate my effects with the song structure. Keep up your good work
Is there a way to start and stop the pads and switch between them with a foot pedal? I don't have an extra finger to use.😀 Thanks for the great videos.
Not a bad idea! Just don’t let your drummer get away with “well… I don’t need to come to practice then” 😂 It was my bass player in my old band who would do that, and they were the only person who would constantly forget their parts live 🤦
We use Moises so we can still practice regardless of which band member is late or can’t make it. Doesn’t need any prep either and brilliant for solo practice for any band member.👍👍
Replay!!! Another very thorough video! I love the simplicity and thought of apps like this for corporate intros and wedding ceremonies as you mentioned.
It looks like Soundboard Pro, but a lot cheaper. After I purchased Soundboard pro, I have done several live shows with it on ipad connected to my Tascam Mixcast 4, it is nearly perfect only flaw is when I've done editing audio file, it's always quit to iOS main screen. This Easy Performer looks nice too, maybe I wouldn't buy same kind app again, but always good to have another choice, and also, great presentation, thanks.
Cool app and good job, I love your videos. Similar to the app I use called ‘Soundboard’ but I’m gonna try it as it seems to have a bit more options. It might sound weird but I trust my iPad more than a laptop when it comes to live backing tracks.
@ Yeah, but still cheaper than buying an SPDS! 😜 However, yours seems really interesting, I like all the options that are available. Happy holidays mate!
Looks good. As of lyrics, you can set separate lyric lines that match with the music, which is cool.... What I would miss is annotations within the lyrics like underline and coloured markers, hints in another colour or font. (Since I don't use stereo left > hints, right > music ) An Android app that does that besides midi and all kinds of features is *Mobile Sheets*
One thing I find missing in apps like this is the lack of pro editing capability. That’s why I use Cubase 3 and have used N-Track. I load up songs into the tracks. I solo any song on a track to play it. I find that backing tracks whether I’ve made them or found them online always need to be edited further. So the eq in these DAWs comes in handy. Once I’ve done that I save a group of backing tracks (a setlist) as a song. I have several of these to call up at will
Hey Scott another great video! Funny I actually used SoundCue before I got into OnSong and then ST3 for the last five years or so Since SOundcue was removed from the App Store actually did pick up easy performer as well lol and I use it for dinner music be recorded or in between sets music and I am looking at using it as a back up for ST3 Keep up the great work!
Hi. Please forgive my ignorance. I have a Roland BR800. Can I run East Performer through this or connect straight into a laptop, mixing console? Thanks
Thanks! As I mentioned in the video, Stage Traxx can do more like multitracking and full pages of lyrics. So with my cover band, I use stage Traxx. With my older original band, we would use Easy Performer (well, SoundCue at the time, but similar layout).
I use Soundboard Pro..very similar interface so probably one and the same company. There is very little difference only that the midi facility is interesting, wondering if it would send program changes to the keyboard so that keyboard sounds would be loaded for individual songs, instead of me fumbling around for the correct program on the keyboard for a particular song.I'm guessing its not possible as I wonder how the midi send would get into the keyboard.
Great app😊. Im wandering how can a 3 band peace can synchronize their app to get so everyone can see the lyrics on their own tablet or phone change synchronous🤔
It’s pretty straightforward. Import the songs, rearrange them, press play, and/or make setlists if you want. The midi part is complicated if you don’t understand midi, but the main part of the app is pretty simple 👍
Thanks for watching, and you can use this app with any speaker basically. Just need that splitter cable, and then route the tracks to where you need to 👍
Amazing video as always ❤ I was thinking about app like this for android and I'm glad you tested it 😊 regarding the midi plugin, have you tried to connect multiple devices? I'm wondering if it is possible or I'll need some kind of splitter or something.
Thanks! And yes, this is a great device for sending to multiple different midi devices assigned to different midi channels: th-cam.com/video/iWPTYBq0VdA/w-d-xo.htmlsi=aYgef8UnmIATH2P6
Hello i am a drummer and i have one question about this app, can i used only for midi controler, because i have all of my information on my spd sx pro?Now i use midipad 2 app for change only the songs from my roland spd sx pro. Thanks for your video and best regards.
I guess you could use it just for the midi. Just put in blank tracks of audio and send midi. But I feel like a midi footswitch or something like that might be easier if I’m understanding you correctly
Stage Traxx 3 does a lot more like full lyrics and multitracking, so I’m using stage Traxx because it fits my needs. However, with my old band, we would use something like this because we didn’t need all those other features 👍

Excellent and thank you (BUT - we could do with less "ton of" and "bunch of" - you can't "weigh" files and you can't "bunch" music). Americans seem to becoming more reliant on boardroom bull as time passes and have lost the ability to speak simply and concisely without jingoistic jargon.
What an amazing video! The suggestions you've made are great. We're definitely going to look into that! And thank you for your support😄🎶
Thanks for watching the video! You guys made a great app, and I was happy to make a video on it 🤘🤘
Yeah I'd rather pay a larger chunk to buy outright than a subscription. In fact, I refuse to pay a subscription for an app no matter what it does.

Great App Scott. Wish it had click though…
I’m curious to see if I can use it to trigger my DMX timelines in ShowXpress
If that can be done with midi, then yup 👍
Holy moly way over my head

I really wish the sound canvas by roland could be back ... For midi tracks
Can i use it to trigger one hit samples or loops with spd sx?
It doesn’t have midi in, so no, as of right now it doesn’t. But spdsx is simple to import a one hit sample
Anyway to delete a file/song? With soundcue you could overwrite a file in Itunes. I've tried doing that and it still playing the original song.
Yup you can delete songs/files 👍

What's a good inexpensive tablet for using backing tracks and this app?
You can do an older iPad 👍
Looks pretty good but tell me: does this replace Stage Traxx 3 for you? Seems quite similar.
Stage Traxx 3 does a lot more like full lyrics and multitracking, so I’m using stage Traxx because it fits my needs. However, with my old band, we would use something like this because we didn’t need all those other features 👍
The Pro upgrade costs $26.99 and MIDI Plugin costs $17.99 (one time / lifetime)
