    A traditional walking frame forces your centre of gravity forward, giving stability..... this product causes an upright stance, that would increase instability and potentially backwards falls.
    Therefore in my opinion it increases risk.
    My late mother used a frame and the leaning position was essential, so I'd be interested to know what testing and comparisons had been done, to prevent falling backwards.

      Hi Steve, thanks for your message and sorry to hear about your mother, however, actually you are incorrect. The UPWalker is designed to position the user mass in the center of the unit, front to back and side to side with user weight directed downward inside the wheels, thereby stabilizing the user when walking or standing. Patented design features of the UPWalker increase stability by positioning the user’s weight inside the wheels instead of on top of the wheels, reducing fall risk. How does it work with stairs? Please demo

      David, thanks for your comment! As you can see in the video, the front wheels are larger than the back wheels, making it easier to lift up and over cracks in the sidewalk or up small steps. We may develop future videos showing how the UPWalker Lite can be lifted up steps in the sidewalk.

    I think this is an excellent idea and looks great but for $545 that's way too much money especially for old people in need it should be about at the most $200 cuz they're on a fixed income it's always everybody's got a rip-off older people and people with disabilities

    • @upwalker2149
      @upwalker2149  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      We hear you! The UPWalker is a premium product and we understand not everyone will be able to afford it at the $545 price. However, we have partnered with Bread financing to help you pay off the cost of the UPWalker over 6, 12, or 18 months (interest-free for first 6 months). You do have to apply for financing and if approved, payments can be as low as $35/month!!
