heheheh they didn't make the cut because they're either boring, or non kitchen items stored in the kitchen a-la carrie bradshaw's sweaters in the oven :D--high cabinets: booze & random supplements (balance lawllll), skinny cabinets: baking sheets and dishes!

You have no idea the ugly light fixtures my house came with! I mean we still have them up, but can't wait to replace them! They are super unique but not our taste. Adding a rug is so simple and can make a huge difference. Love it!

Yayyy glad you agree about the rug...and also, oh my goodness now I'm dying to see these fixtures of yours :D

Yes to the peak n’stick wallpaper. Either over the tile or you can also get a coordinating peal n’stick tile to cover that. Maybe consider taking it all the way around the corner and up to the window? I can’t tell how the wall terminates with the window. The replacement handles are also a really great idea. As are the new light fixtures. I wonder too if you could use some kind of tape or contact paper to give the doors and drawer fronts a paneled look. You could also try covering the dishwasher with a wood grain contact paper to make it disappear. Or something that coordinates with the wallpaper? Can’t wait to see this!

Okay Jennifer you're onto something. After I filmed this, I realized the kitchen backsplash extends to the surrounding walls in a way that would make it really easy to delineate/accent the kitchen with paint/peel and stick...stay tuned, you'll see what I mean soon :)

love your meal prep videos on goodful and am so happy that u decided to start your personal channel. as a natural-born snooper of bookshelves and kitchens, i hope to see more details such as the herbs and spices you use, do you have a kitchen garden, your kitchen staples, the japanese influence on your cooking or taste, your coffee station, things you buy in bulk or are cheap and those which are worth the extra price, how you tackle food waste, your fave cookbooks or recipe resources, and of course, what's inside your fridge. as for renovations, to each her own, but i prefer recycled mismatched containers and only organizational solutions that are practical. those aesthetically pleasing kitchens look like they can be anyone's. so it would be interesting however you decorate according to your own life.

The dark wallpaper (over the tiles as well) and the new handles, runner and fixtures sound amazing. Such a good idea to work with what you already have rather than changing everything like cupboards and worktops.

good makeover ideas! wallpaper sounds good, does it usually go over tile? the only thing I'd be worried about is not enough contact surface and awkward peeling but im really no expert. the deep green looks lovely too!

If you did want to cover over the cabinets and drawers I would recommend using a vinyl (water based) self adhesive paper as that will last the longest and holds up pretty strong to regular kitchen use, however it is a bit more expensive than regular contact paper

I swear I need a kitchen that just works vs one that is super aesthetic. I'd rather have a fully stainless steel kitchen than have a really fussy one. I decant my spices because I have no choice since my aunt from Dubai sends those spices to us since they're super expensive here in my country but the container I use to store the decanted spices are just tiny tupperwares from a local japanese dollar store 😅
