- Hi Star Wars collectors. In this video I compare the two Vintage Collection deluxe Boba Fetts. I look at the main differences from paint apps to sculpt. Boba Fett (Morak) is is packaged on a standard card back but does have a deluxe price, whereas the Boba Fett (Tatooine) is packaged in the new style boxes. One Fett is from his appearance in The Mandalorian and the other is from The Book of Boba Fett. Which is your favorite?

Great review! My vote is for the deluxe boba. It just looks a bit cleaner, and also has more battle damage on the helmet.
I like the cleaner look the Morak Boba has, but I hate the ultra baggy pants.
Absolutely outstanding figures. I gotta say the Morak Fett just looks better imo. Plus that cardback is just chef's kiss.

The flared pipes on the arms, when they move away from the torso - surely one of the greatest 3.75 details ever :)
All the years I've collected I never knew the "skirts" were called karma's , still learning ,I love it .
Sadly for my wallet both are great… I think these figures look better in hand as I’ve heard many people say these are the best figures. In pictures and videos they look good. In Canada this figure cost me $43 with a discount… in my opinion that is outrageous. Gummy blasters, non functional range finder are big misses for a $40 figure. Great review!!!👍🏻
The vambraces on the BOBF one are a new sculpt, while the ones on the morak boba is a reuse of the ones from the ROTJ Fett. He must’ve done some retooling on them(again) alongside the jetpack (up-armored fuel tanks and new drive governor)
Just caught this video. Don't know how I managed to miss it when it first came out. Anyway, I have both versions but I kept the Morak Fett on the card and opened the Deluxe. I agree, though, that this is an outstanding figure. I was really impressed when I opened it and am so happy to have both versions. Great video, as always!

The deluxe version probably why it's so scuffed up was because there was a time span where he was fighting in the town square with all the gangs that came together against him and also with cad bane that's what I think

Thanks Tim! Loved this one. I was super impressed by the Deluxe Boba. His extras were pretty tiny, but I thought they really delivered in terms of detail. Add that with the amount of paint apps on the figure itself, and I felt the deluxe price was justified. The rocket firing accessory with the flame effect is great. And the best part about the mangled stormtrooper helmets is that they come with a dumbbell, so you can actually swap out heads with existing stormtroopers. Swap out the head of a Remnant Stormtrooper figure for one of these, and you get a SUPER mangled looking trooper - almost to an undead or zombie looking level, which has been fun when playing with my son.
Good video, I think you skipped the different mounding and paint apps on the bottom half of the figure. I would’ve liked to have seen articulation points. The gloves on the Morak also have paint apps that the Deluxe do not have. 😊
Got the tatooine Boba the other day, I could hear the leg rattling around before I opened it. Popped back on with no issues. Still waiting for target to ship the morak Boba. The one I have is pretty cool. Thank you for the review BB!
Great video as usual! I gotta say there's something about the BOBF version that makes me like it just a bit more, but both are great figures.
My son and I like them both. They are great figures and with some different aspects of how they look in two series of shows is great.
Hey Bossk. Great video. Cool comparison, as I haven't got the "re-armored" BF yet. When you mentioned the "gummy" blasters, I picked up my Deluxe Tatooine Boba Fett to check. Aside from where the grip/stock are very thin (and I admit hard to get in his hand to begin with) the plastic for the body and barrel of mine seems pretty firm, and once you get it in his hand, he holds it pretty well. Is it possible that they may have used a different formula of plastic for the UK/"foreign market" versions, as I bought mine from Amazon here in the US? Just a thought, thanks for keeping us all informed!

Man! That stray fringe from the Morak figure just don’t sit right with me. I’m thinking I’m glad I picked up the deluxe- despite the unwarranted price 🤦🏽♂️
If your going for movie accuracy or tv accuracy it won't matter, to me they both look good. thanks for the comparison video BB.
Both figures look amazing, but I really don't like the gummy blasters either, Hasbro really needs to address that in future releases.

Very cool comparison!! Both look amazing! Absolutely agree we need better quality plastic for our wepons so their not bendy, & better attention to details on them so they fit in hand better!! Would like them to not forget to paint wepons as they do so often lately!! Love the soft goods, but yeah that stringy version is surely going to keep pulling apart over time!!
Wonder if Hasbro will do an all black TVC version like the SDCC black series Boba Fett in disguise. I managed to order before it sold out also snagged the Arena Suit Boba Fett which is what Hot Toys is calling their version. Which sold out in a matter of hours on the first day!! Was lucky enough to grab 2 & boy have they gone crazy on the aftermarket been selling for $850USD. Seen quite afew sell for that crazy price!! Seeing the popularity of both Hot Toys & BS Hasbro all black comic version perhaps we get it in TVC!! Though I liked the Hot Toys version better as they used a shinny black, instead of the matt black used by BS!! Wouldn't mind seeing afew unique comic version TVC figures here & their in the line. There's alot of cool comic book characters they could incorporate. Seeing how much some of those comic packs sell for now there's definitely demand for some of them!!

Great comparison review! I'm sure Disney/Marvel Comics will release a story book on what happens to Boba Fett after killing Bib Fortuna. The adventures of taking over Jabba's Palace. Just like they did with The Mandalorian. Personally I bought the box set, because the Mandalorian version is a Target exclusive, the pre-order had sold out instantly.
I got the book of boba one, couple of months ago, love it, I will get the card one to if see it. All the best. ⚔️👍

Great review and figures. I'm still waiting for my Mandalorian version but the Book of Boba Fett figure is great. But yes, the blaster is my one big frustration. I cannot get my figure to hold it. It's a difficult shape to begin with and then how gummy it is like you said. My other complaint is that I wish the holster was deeper for sidearm blaster. It sticks up too far.
It’s insane to me that spending so much time making amazing Boba Fett’s with those price tags we still don’t have moveable range finders. Makes no sense. Favorite character of all time and these figures are amazing but, it’s 2022 and the Death Watch Mandalorian has a moveable rangefinder.
Hey, Bossk question for ya. Is Mando Boba's rifle the same as the recent RoTJ Boba's rifle? I thought it was gonna be the same but noticed the difference between RoTJ and Book of Boba's rifle are quite different. Makes me wonder if its the same RoTJ mold.
I wasn't going to get either one, as I don't really collect figures from the streaming series all that much. But I did recently purchase the Slave I from the Vintage collection vehicle, as well as the Fennec Shand figure, so I figure I'll get the book of Boba Fett Deluxe figure as an alternate way of displaying it. they both look pretty good tho.
Interesting that the “firing” rocket is so much smaller considering the one on the old VC Jango Fett works the same way but it much bigger. Although that one is rounded and made of soft plastic.
When did the mandalorian version come out? I like the helmet on the mando version better looks bigger.

I think the frayed edges on the Morak figure's soft goods are very appropriate.
Yes but not intentional. If you look at the promo images for the figure it looks like a different material. These will waste away in no time
My biggest flaw with them is the viewfinders don’t move, otherwise great figures !

i got one before watching this... i got the morak one.... deluxe looks waaay better to me just like the leg molds better.
The waist cape looks cooler on the morak one to me. but it will fray away which sucks. And the leg mold is nice but i prefer the deluxe.

Where do you get those stands? I use the protect and half my TVC 3.75 don't fit on the pegs.
Thinking about starting to make videos on my small collection nd the process of buying figures on non TH-camr budget lol. Much respect on everything u do, I just got my BOB figure in nd I can’t understand why they don’t make the antenna on the the viewfinder moveable?! It’s the same on the ROTJ figure I absolutely love nd they nailed the death watch mandalorian which has the moveable antenna, that’s my fav figure at the moment!

I have one of The Book Of Boba Fett boxed “deluxe” figures and he’s really great. I do have one complaint and maybe it’s a good question for next episode? What do you think of these foot peg holes? It makes for a challenge with displaying a figure and I see the rocker ankles took away the heel option but the toes? The ROTJ Boba barely stands up on a peg. Do you have a stand that does the job?

I like the right side Boba Fett figurine
I prefer the BoBF Boba so I can pick it up and place it over the Kenner POTF 2 Rancor, which in size and color is the most accurate one to recreate the "Boba riding the Rancor" effect.
I dont know why it appears normal on camera but the paint job for the Deluxe Boba Fett is far beyond my expectation for a TVC

I have been trying to get my hands on either the Target or the WalMart Morak figure, but so far no dice. I'm trying to get them from the retailer websites, and maybe they're just not out yet. I know that window of opportunity will be brief. I love the WalMart version best - I want the destroyed version of the armor. And I love the baggy, Japanese pants - like Ahsoka, I think it makes him look like a samurai.

I apologize if this was mentioned, but I don't think you addressed it - on the Morak version, do the jet pack nozzles still have holes to fit in the flame effects?
I am thinking I am going to keep Morak, steal effects (& jetpack?) from Tatooine, and call it a day. These are too close to justify keeping both for me, no matter how bad I want to.
I think I addressed that in my review if the Morak version but can’t remember if they do or not!

The gumminess of the blasters is terrible. I just got the new Shae Vizla figure and they're way too bendy, very tricky to get them in her hands and no holsters either, tricky for them to stay on the belt
To me it looks like they have 'unsharpened' or reduced the point on the rocket - A bit of over the top safety precautions from Hasbro perhaps? Echoes of Kenner's rocket firing Fett!
On the gummy weapons - Do you think they are produced from the same mould - so basically the same plastic that the figure is made from?
Are these 6 inch?
Are the helmets the same size. From the camera angle they look different with the one from Morak looking larger.

i totally understand that you focus on the regular figures, but the smell of opening a hot toys figure is just sublime.. and the pleasure of placing them in my detolf... i wish i had more detolfs..

@@BossksBounty true.. i have a lot of money, but no space🙂 but seriously.. they are really worth the price. and some of them tend to increase in value. for example my two-piece snowtrooper set. found only one on ebay from china (already sketchy) for like $2000.. thats crazy.. btw i have the original limited edition bossk from sideshow (the one with alternate head) but he will sadly have to go into storage now because of new hot-toys....

I got my Tatooine Boba Feet figure imported from Taiwan. So happy it was sent before the Chinese invaded the island!
Tvc is still by far the best line, Tattooine is good, Morak one just pips it, I just want it hurry up dead bad

POTF2 Weapons we’re the best plastic
The red boots with the yellow kneepads just look off to me. Don't understand why they thought that was a good look for Boba. Reminds me of McDonald's/Ronald McDonald for some reason....lol
Book of boba is truly the choice. Better arm gauntlet and better paint

Both great figures but yeah as you said the blasters let it down. I struggle to get my versions to hold them
It really doesn't make a whole lot of sense his armor in Mandalorian is fresh repainted straight out of the shop then suddenly he comes back and then his paint his suddenly randomly scuffed up again. Makes 0 zero sense. We don't even know what was the cause of it.
Then again maybe it could have been from fight scenes being shot in book of boba Fett. I don't really know where those stupid scuffs came from.
He was alright in the Mandalorian he was brand new he was like a new character that popped out of nowhere. Funny right?
Biggest difference I can see is one of them is actually attainable and the other you'll have to feed the scalpers for if you missed the tiny pre-order window...honestly I like them both, the Morak version is better though in my opinion and has WAY better packaging wish i could grab 2 of those to keep one on card
I got the boxed Fett from my local comic shop. so far I've seen him at 2 comic shops with gaming figs, try that route 😀
I think the hands are WAY too soft, that's a bigger issue than the soft weapons.
The things Hasbro does that make no sense, like the two blasters being different in figures releases so close to one another.

I canceled all my preorders with all the retailers. TVC and BS. I'm gonna concentrate on Hot Toys collection. It seems I made the right decision with the release of battle damaged Vader from OWK. It is soooooo bad ass!
I just can't keep up with all the releases from Hasbro, and I'm sick and tired of shit arriving damaged. Its become more of a chore than a hobby thats supposed to bring joy.
