Really looking forward to getting this! So many options to display whether it’s Jabba, Fat Bib or Boba. Just wish we had some TVC skinny Gammo guards for Boba to boss around when he’s on the throne
For sure! For me, it's all about Return of the Jedi. I see why they were contractually obligated to market this as the Book of Boba Fett (gotta promote the latest 'no matter how unpopular it is' thing), since disney thrusts poor decisions upon hasbro, then hasbro buggers with things even more. Not saying the additional options for non-Jabba's palace are a bad thing, but it would've gotten more attention if it was marketed as a ROTJ set.

Great stuff! Mine also arrived today. One staying boxed and the other for Jabba diorama. I must say I love the Big Fortuna sculpt, feels sad to leave him on the card. I had no issues with the goblets fitting onto the tray. It's going to be incredible when we get Squid Head and co. We really need Shasa Tiel now! Thanks BB!

Aren't they remaking this w/ JABBA? They better (otherwise I was really stupid).. Hell make the 2.0 A Deluxe version, and include the 2018-19 Jabba throne room Han Solo Carbonite set.

I’d love to see the vintage original figures displayed with this.
Just a note with the goblets that keep popping out of the gaps in the tray, I use a little bit of white tack to hold them in place

Got mine this morning and it was well boxed great box art and the diorama itself is great well done hasbro more of this.
Ordered mine on the second time around. Looking forward to it. I got the throne room and was surprised at how large the box is.👀

This is totally amazing. I'm really looking forward to this one. One thing I wish you might have covered is how the grates in the ceiling seem to make different shadow patterns on the inside depending on how you light it. That to me is such a subtle, classy feature, and I can't wait to try it out.
Yeah was difficult with the lights I had but I’ve seen some great photos that people have done

Received this playset and this is phenomenal set. The Fat Bib is just amazing with sculpt, soft goods and paint apps. And yes this mold could use for a new Malakili, and if Hasbro does that, then they need to do a new updated Rancor as well don't you think?
Great Vid Tim, loving the new playset and can’t wait to see your new figure room. I was a little disappointed with the lack of paint and detail on the raised floor and staircases; to me it just doesn’t blend well with the throne, plinth and arc ceiling. But all in all, a fantastic set.
Can't wait for this one, I have a custom diorama I'll be putting these accessories in.

At first was not going to get this, but when it went back up on Hasbro pulse... I thought why not!!! LOL. Does look very detailed and will probably need a new room myself to put it on display. I'm hoping that once set up the pieces are able to detatch easily for storage (i know with some of their items they don't). Also might sell the carded Bib figure to offset the costs of getting this set! When Jabba is released, there will be no contest to see who will be sitting on the 'throne'!!! LOL

Just got this a few days ago and man that box is big and heavy! I didn't expect it to be that huge. The set looks great, but a black wash would have been nice considering the price.
That set is so awesome. I really wanted to get one but I have no room to display it. I still have a Slave 1 and Poes x Wing in boxes. 😅🤘💯
Adults complaining about the cardboard is ridiculous. Figures are meant to be open and not being kept for speculation

Great review and what an awesome looking set. I didn't pre-order one because it was not long after the Razor Crest and in New Zealand was $650 vs $750 for the Razor Crest! I might try and get one now though.
This looks really good. Look forward to this arriving in NZ at some point (1 October is the supposed day). The Dias looks a bit too dark for the rest of the set though- though I see the color of the rest of the set seems to be the same colour as the Jabba one! Looks like Hasbro know what most people are going to use this set for! 😀😀😀

One more thing: those things on the wall in the back (shutters? IR heaters?) should be red. This is an essential part of the lighting of this iconic set.
I got mine today as well, love the set ,shocked at how big it is to 😂 but my Bib card back is pretty much the same that horrible double bubble glue press thing really annoying as its my only one but something tells me there might be more as I just watched Nick's video of this set to and I can see his Bib card back has double bubble glue to , however can't wait for Tvc Jabba so I can set up a ROTJ scene with my figures
Awesome!! Emily & team really knocked this outta the park for six!! Bib Fortuna looks brilliant but damn is he big what did he do eat Jabba!!😂 Love the detail that went into this so many cool ascessories!! I want to see if i can get a light in that grill. Really cool set. Abit dissapointing the cardback arrived damaged hopefully that was a one off. Would hate to see everyone having problems with there cardback!! Cant wait to get this awesome this will look great in your new room BB ill be waiting to see how that turns out!!😎👍

Looks awesome! I just got mine as a Christmas Present for myself and will open it up on Dec. 25! I didn't have a Jabba figure already, so I got that 'Jabba Glob' from TPM because I really liked that one and lost it some time ago. So he'll be the stand in until the new one comes out next year. I'm so payched!
Another great review Tim 👍🏼 I’ve seen a few on eBay a lot cheaper as the sellers only wanted the carded figure, I’ll maybe see about picking one up as I would want to use it for Jabba!

It seems like with the 40th Anniversary of Return Of The Jedi, it's more of a Jabba The Hutt's Throne Room than a Bib Fortuna/Boba Fett one, so probably best to add a TVC Jabba The Hutt to it since that Fat Bib Fortuna looks hideous!

I’ve also received mine today but not going to be able to open it for a while as preparing a new toy collection space. Interested to know how the previous TVC Jabba’s playset fits in with it as planning to try and add mine to it to make an even bigger diorama. Would be strange if it wasn’t designed to fit together!

Why would we "regret it" (Gulp) ?? Aren't they coming out w/ A _RotJ_ JABBA included version ?? Hasbro does do some dumb things. But leaving $$$ on the table usually isn't one of them.
Wow, congrats on landing it so quickly! I'm really jealous. I've pre-ordered the upcoming TVC Jabba figure because it's not too pricey and I have a good number of figures to stick around him (slave Leia, Bib, Lando in disguise, etc). This palace set is amazing, but it's SO expensive and BIG (which is good, of course, given the price tag). I just could not justify buying it, plus Jabba, plus that denizens set. Just getting the Jabba made the most sense (for my wallet and given space constraints) - a Jabba without a palace is okay, but having the palace without Jabba would be weird (to me at least - Bib's palace just never sat right).
Yeah I will be looking forward to that Jabba set!

This set looks fantastic! But wait a second . . . does Bib Chungus even have knee joints?! You say he has hinged knees, but I am NOT seeing a seam for knees when you pulled his skirt up. If he does have knees, they're perfectly concealed on the sculpt! I see him sitting on the throne at the end there, so well done, Hasbro.
Also: I think EVERYONE from the UK had a grandma, great-grandma, or great-aunt who had those exact pink-striped fluffy sheets at the 15:50 mark.
The diorama looks pretty cool.
Absolutely gutted i had to cancel my pre order, it looks great, ill stick with my homemade version until i can afford this one lol
The double VC276 is disappointing. They need to issue a simple black sticker with VC271 on it.
Excellent review as always, your hard work is very much appreciated by the community. As for the Throne Room set, as cool as it is, I think it's terribly overpriced. You get a ton of little dishes and cups that are easily lost and likely just get in the way when trying to setup a proper scene. And with the Jabba coming out at $90, that's just too much money for what you're getting. Thanks for the review though!
Good review video. I opened mine a few weeks ago and discovered similar issues with Bib's cardback. At certain lighting angles several distracting marks appear. I've seen these marks in many of the ebay listings for this figure. So disappointing.

This looks spectacular! I guarentee with lots of Return of the Jedi characters it will look a direct replica of Jabbas throne room, does it display well with the prievious Jabbas palace playset released a couple years ago?

I’ll probably end up buying this just for the jabba set more of a black series person but I think I’ll end up collecting both but for tvc maybe original trilogy since it gets alot of love from hasbro.

I’m sure this was asked in the comments section (a lot of reading to go through), but how do the Jabba Palace Adventure Set Walls, the ones with Han frozen in carbonite, integrate with this set? Can you set them off to the side and create a nice, seamless transition from one set to the other? Or is there no room whatsoever or easy or proper way to integrate those walls into this set? I’m really hoping the two can work together…🤷🏻♂️

14:35 We made a quick video what might be of use here, my girlfriend taught a trick she uses in her dolls house and shows how to fix these down with tacky wax, if that’s any help. I’d really recommend it for small items in dioramas as it’s strong, removable and almost invisible, it works really well when repositioning too.

So question Bossk. How does this set look next to the Han carbon-freezing wall Jabba set released a few years back? Does the set match color-wise with that one? I'd assume there's no interconnectivity with the two sets, right? Just how massive with having both on a shelf take up?
