I'm in the US and looking to pick this up as my first drone. My main usage will be no controller quick shots while hiking and camping. I'd really like to see it track a vehicle at low speeds like slow offroading when paired with one of the controllers like the RC-N3 or RC2.
Thank you for your video. I am a seasoned pilot. Well, not a man aircraft pilot lol I’m a seasoned drone pilot and I have the Neo and I just bought the M3 controller cause I had to spend so much money on my children thank God I’m not married. I’d have to spend more money on that. I wouldn’t have been able to get the M3 controller and she might’ve not gotten it for me lol but with all that being said, I do have a few other dronesand other controllers, but I was really interested in to know what to expect when I get this M3 controller in the mail and I appreciate your video cause there’s not many videos talking about the M3 controller because it’s not as spectacular as the goggles with the FPV or the blah blah blah and all this so I appreciate your video, sir. thank you.
Thanks for this video. Is it possible to have it track you from the front, i.e. fly backwards as you walk forward, using the RC2 controller? Or track you from the side as you walk forward, using the RC2 controller? Or will it only follow you from the back when using the RC2 controller?
Thanks for the excellent informative video. For those of us Mini 4 Pro owners, unsure what's the advantage of Neo with controller setup? Besides the Neo being smaller, more robust. The Neo video spec comparison is bit worse, no obstacle avoidance, shorter battery life, annoying propeller high pitch sound etc. The Neo does have faster setup flying autonomously or with phone though. I think that's where the Neo shines like X1.
beginner here, are ALL the features demonstrated here also available with a RC-N3 paired with the dji app or are these exclusive to the RC-2 with the built-in screen?
Great video! Is there anyway the NEO can work only with a phone display and the FPV RC3 without the goggles? Essentially it's just the same as the RCN2 with a display. I wish DJI could open this up because sometimes I would just like to fly it with the phone using the RC3 without having to put on the goggles. Also, someone managed to connect their PS4 controller via bluetooth and had it working with the NEO, that would be a good quick alternative then the virtual phone controller. Any thoughts on this?
@@AirPhotography Ha! Mine too! Let’s compare notes, yeah?!? 😉 I’m not as skilled as you, but I’ve done some good stuff with my M3P, so I have high hopes for Little Neo!
It’s not on mine either. Just drag your finger over the subject on your phone and all the options mentioned in the video suddenly appear. You have to have taken off to do this I think.
I find it to be a little bit smoother in some instances. With the other drones, you have more features and options with tracking and it can track you at a faster pace.
I just bought a DJI Neo, so far very happy bout it. But when I tried to set the focus track, it is grey out, no matter how I changed d setting. It was no good. Could any 1 tell me how to set the Focus Track please?
The little Neo brings so much value. It's feature rich! Thank you Shawn!
Very good video. I am going to incorporate the Neo on my macro photography journeys..

Bought the controller, so many more options….love the Neo my first drone, so easy to use and adaptable👍.
Nice 👍
Good to know it has focus track, just like most recent DJI drones. Great video Shawn, thanks for sharing.
Thank you for the video.
That's exactly what I was looking for...thanks a million 🎉
Glad it was helpful!

If Dji ever brings these functions to the avata 2, it would be insanely useful
Absolutely. I would pay for that firmware (shhh)

Awesome sir. Could you please demonstrate the tracking ability of small objects, such as your RC cars.
Good idea
@@AirPhotography Thank you kind sir.
That's part of the reason I ordered one. US here, so will be october.
Try if the DJI neo can track another drone. Would be a fun video if it works.
Very good idea
For some reason my rc2 is not showing subject scanning in the settings..any ideas??

It’ll work exactly the same with the RCN3 👍

I have Mini 3, Mini 4 Pro,and im waiting on my Neo now. 😊
Nice 👍
New to yer channel - great video - great presentation. Liked/subscibed.
Thank you very much and welcome aboard
Is the neo's max velocity when tracking greater than 5,5m/s when piloting through the RC?
Does sports mode work in active track? Coz if so the drone can follow bike in fast speed.
Great job, thanks
Thanks for watching!
Hey, Shawn - Have you done any testing with the Neo and following a vehicle yet? 🤔 Great video, as always! 👍🏻
Not yet it is on my agenda

Can you track objects and use all the quick shots features?
The drone will lock onto you while doing all the quick shots. But tracking is its own mode.
Odd, the focus track is not showing on mine. I have the N3 remote and have checked ti make sure Neo and remotes firmware isn up to date

how to set quickshot settings on the controller?
When using a controller, they are static there’s not many settings to change
may I ask if the intelligent flight mode doesn't work when the drone is not in the air?
Indeed, you have to be in the air to use the intelligent features
@@AirPhotography thanks…..🙇🏻♂️👍🏼
Very informative A++
Thank you very much

I’m not sure what the problem would be. Did you make sure it was in video mode?
@@AirPhotography well, I called up to DJI, they said can only changed focus tracking while it is flying.. I have to try it later.
Hi, how much time it take to charge one battery using drone or 3 batteries using charging hub.
I’m not sure I’ve never timed it, but maybe I will look into that
@@AirPhotography Thank you 👍👍
Close to 1 hour with 65w charger
@@skdragon8845 Thanks bro👍👍
Shawn,
Is the Neo capable of tracking my golf cart while in motion? Thanks
In theory it is possible
Guess I will have to wait till next month to try it out.
❤🔥
How close can you get to yourself with the drone tracking
I don’t know the exact measurement, but you can get fairly close
Does this work with a controller+phone setup?
Yes, indeed it works exactly the same
Hello AirPhotography!!
Hello there!
Will it follow a dog?
I’m not sure I have not tested that
can the neo be flown with motion controller without the 500 dollar goggles?
Unfortunately, no, they have to be used together
Show the crashes. I counted two.
