At the end of the day pick the Bible up yourself and by the Spirit discern for yourself what the Bible says. We all have the living Word of God at our hands. Let us make sure ourselves we know what it says. Pray that God would help you at every step.
We must diligently and carefully study the Word, not depend on whims and random thoughts that are mistaken for the "voice of God". That means using the original Hebrew and Greek texts as well as Scripture itself to properly interpret the Bible. Prayer is also important, for God is the giver of wisdom. Good biblical discernment relies on solid information, not reckless instinct.
The problem is, how do we prevent cherry picking of verses? That is only by iron sharpening iron. Now we have online sharpening. Many must be reshaped as well. Many will be exposed at not true and not worthy to be sharpened.
Throughout our 20 years of ministry, I can tell you this guy is SPOT ON! Another problem is that false teachers will compromise the truth to keep the “machine running”. Keeping the doors to the building open for their own financial gain or the fear of losing respect in the community is much more important than speaking any truth or giving a message that might lose some congregation members. They fear men more than God. Leonard Ravenhill said it best...”How is it that the holiest man alive couldn’t get along with the ‘church’ but you can? Is it by compromise?”
Wow...You just described every prosperity preacher, Hillsong preachers, Brian Houston, Steven Furtick, TD Jakes, Todd White, Creflo Dollar, Kenneth Copeland and many more.
This is helpful and it’s really interesting that it’s almost always true, but also includes a couple of generalisations which aren’t always true. Sometimes what’s more dangerous than the false teacher you’re describing is a teacher that’s been taught by the ones you’ve been describing, firsthand or secondhand or further down the line. They genuinely believe that what they’re doing is right and they genuinely believe that they’re helping people
Amen brother!!! You nailed the issue very well. I like to refer to false teachers as those who go the way of man’s wisdom obtaining a PHD in divinity which does not amount to a hill of beans in God’s eyes. The truth can ONLY BE OBTAINED RECEIVING THE SPIRIT BY GODS WORD!!! Jesus spoke plainly about this group in a parable: “1 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. 2 But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. 3 To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out. 4 And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. 5 And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.” Jesus and the Bible, his WORD, are ONE AND THE SAME!!! “Verily, verily, I say unto you, I AM THE DOOR OF THE SHEEP.” (John 10:7) Those who don’t go in by THE WORD, are trying to climb up some other way! But those who find Gods TRUTH through the WORD are the SHEPHERD OF THE SHEEP!! People be wise and seek God through his WORD, man will lead you astray, God won’t: “31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in MY WORD, then are ye my disciples indeed; 32 And ye shall know THE TRUTH, and the truth shall MAKE YOU FREE.” (John 8:31-32) God bless 🙏🏻 bookstore.authorhouse.com/Products/SKU-000247219/From-Darkness-into-Light.aspx
Two things you didn't include, which I find is common for false teachers: 1) they undermine the Word by raising questions about it that sew doubt in the minds of the immature; and 2) they add to the Word by claiming they have "a word from God" about this or that, or claim He had told them something that no one else has been told...usually involving something they think God wants you to do, not them, and often it's money-related.
Nice list but you forgot the most important sign of a false teacher - anyone who adds, removes, or changes the WORD of GOD (this includes poor translations) or who downplays the Word of God (think of Gay and Women Pastors, those who make failed prophecies) as the ONLY authority. The second sign of a false teacher is one who perverts the Word of God for their own ends or personal gain (think tithing, sewing financial seed, first fruits offerings, name it and claim it, prosperity gospel etc). The third sign of a false teacher is anyone who puts their words on the same level as the Word of God (think about claims of prophecy, direct revelations, words of knowledge etc). I would refer you to the 5 solas of the Reformation. They include “Sola Scriptura” (Scripture Alone); “Sola Gratia” (Grace Alone); “Sola Fide” (Faith Alone); “Solus Christus” (Christ Alone); and “Soli Deo Gloria” (To God Alone Be Glory). These solas only point to the truth from the one and only true source of revelation - the Bible (Word of God). We also learn that it is really not about us. Remember that Eve added to the Word of God. The Devil then twisted the Word of God in order to deceive her. Eve then decided that she wanted to be "Just like God, knowing both good and evil", and desired to be equal with God. It did not go well for either Adam or Eve. However, later in the Bible we see that whenever Jesus spoke with the Devil, he used the Word of God as his Authority to rebuke him. Jesus set the example for us to follow.
Mary Magdelene was the First preacher she was the first to tell the good news of Christ's resurrection. Galatians 3:28 "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus"
@@antonyjohnson5779 Ok well the pastor preached yesterday that no women were to be teaching or preaching or even speaking in the church and it says it right there in 1 cor.14: 34, 35 i come in love brother no hurt intended please forgive me if I sound strong
@@antonyjohnson5779 - unfortunately you have taken this verse out of context. It is true that we are all equal in Christ but the church is an Institution, not a movement. As an Institution it has Offices that have qualifications. For example, as an Australian I have the same rights as any other Australian. However if I wanted to get a job as a Doctor, then I would have to study as a doctor and then get a licence to practice as a Doctor. This is because the position of a Doctor in our society is an Official Position. You need to meet the qualifications laid out by the Office of the Medical Institutions etc to practice or identify as a doctor. If I arrived at an accident scene and said step aside as I am a Doctor and as I am not a qualified Doctor or meet the requirements of the office of Doctor, I would actually be committing an offense, regardless of the outcome or my good intentions. Likewise, Paul has outlined the qualifications of a Pastor. He has also said that a woman is not to have spiritual authority over a man or preach to men. Now women can preach to other women and she can preach to children, but according to scripture (our only authority), she can not preach to Men. This is very clear scripture. There is nothing to stop a woman from teaching in a University or online. . Mary was not a preacher. She simply told the Disciples the good news and they ran out to see if it was true. The Disciples chosen by Jesus to become Apostles later spread the good news across the area. The women of the early church were active and supported the church in many valuable ways, but not as Overseers or Bishops and certainly did not take spiritual authority over the Men and were forbidden to preach in the Church to the Men. The role of an Apostle is also an office with qualifications, with Paul stating in scripture that he was the last Apostle - the last to have seen the risen Christ. No one can meet the requirements of the Office of an Apostle today. Likewise, the role and office of a Prophet also has qualifications. ANY Prophet whose prophecy fails or does not come to pass is a FALSE Prophet. Any Prophet who teaches a different Faith (or changes the faith in any way) is a False Prophet. Any Prophet who contradicts the Word of God is a False Prophet. Any Prophet who says that the Word of God is outdated and changes the Word to God to meet today's social customs is a False Prophet. A Prophet speaks direct revelation from God and his revelations have the same authority as the Word of God as they have the same source. This is why False Prophets were put to death under the Mosaic Law. Beware of anyone claiming to be a Prophet. They need to be thoroughly tested. It is much safer to keep to God's Word as your ONLY source and ONLY Spiritual Authority. Now, as Christians, we all should be able to give an account of our faith and be able to explain the good news of the Gospel. In fact scripture says that we all must be able to give an account of our Faith. As a woman you absolutely need to be able to give an account of your Faith to anyone who asks. So, it is true that we are all equal in Christ. It does not matter if we are a Slave, a Jew, a Gentile, a Man, a Woman, or a child. However we are not all able to meet the qualifications imposed by the various offices of the Church, which is an Institution and not a movement.

Matthew 7:15-20 "15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. 16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? 17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them." IF they teach one thing and do the opposite then they are not of God and I would say be wary around them because it is those people that could possibly lead You astray from the narrow path without You realising it, especially as You said they seem to be teaching the truth, they could be doing so to cast their hook and when hooked start teaching falsities Be careful of those
Thank you so much for these insightful words and wisdom from scripture, you helped me a lot and I struggle a lot with these challenges primarily in my own character so please accept my gratitude for being so loving and sharing the word. God bless you and your family, thanks again for your passion to help save, looking forward to watching more videos of yours wish you all the best 😊
Trust only the word of God in these last days! Any man no matter how awesome they might appear, and how good they can teach and preach should be followed, only as they follow Jesus! Only in knowing Gods word and having Gods Spirit as your teacher will you gain the discernment to know when you are hearing the truth, and when you are hearing false teaching! Great video and very much needed! Thank you brother!
Tim, what about money? Like Simon the sorcerer, money always accompanies the false prophet. And as far as how to know them, Jesus said that you shall know them by their fruits. Matthew 7:15. In other words, what becomes of the converts? Do they bring forth fruits suggesting repentance and new life, or do they return to the same life as before, (like you said making two fold more a child of hell)? The remainder of that chapter is likely speaking about false prophets.
First I want to commend you Tim for speaking your heart in this matter. If there was ever a day that needed the body of Christ to speak out against false Doctrine I believe this is that day. I am constantly amazed and how many people do not read and understand their Bible and that includes a lot of ministers that I have witnessed on TV and TH-cam.
I would agree with all except the second test. False teachers would criticize the true Servants of God. And then again the true servants of God would criticize false teachers. So for a person who does not know their Bible very well, they may not be able to tell which is which. I think the other methods are more effective.
@@luke3807 but 'good' people do criticize false teachers. Are you calling false teachers innocent? 2 Corinthians 11:3-5,13-15 But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent's cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ. [4] For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the Spirit you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough. [5] I do not think I am in the least inferior to those “super-apostles.” [13] For such people are false apostles, deceitful workers, masquerading as apostles of Christ. [14] And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. [15] It is not surprising, then, if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve.
Brother thank you for your info! I like the fact that you get right to the point and your message is very clear even for the simple layman! May God continue to bless you!
I think it would be helpful and made a follow up to this video, giving more examples of how these false teachers operate today. I would have shared it but I didn’t feel it was specific enough for my friends who follow false teachers. Thank you.
I think another revealer of a false teacher, or false teaching, is if they are stuck on a paradigm. They pick one passage and make that their theme for their entire message all the time to the exclusion of other verses. Or they often use catchy phrases or slogans.
Tim Thanks for sticking to principle and not devolving into accusation. I am beginning to respect you. It seems as though even though you seemed to name 7 things all of them were really the same thing. Personal self interest instead of personal self sacrifice. These 7 tests you named also seem to be very subjective, but also provide a good guide to start with. All in all the best video I have seen from you so far.
Brother Tim, this is a nice compilation. I appreciate the emphasis on scripture in your list. I want to share with you a teaching I received from the Holy Spirit. About 12 years back, He told me, “You would not believe the percentage of teachings in the church that are false.” That immediately stunned me. I thought to myself that I would be able to accept it if told 50% were false. I pondered it often after that. Three years later, I realized I should just ask. And, I did. “Okay, Lord. What percentage of teachings in the church are false? He answered immediately, “Ninety-nine point nine-nine percent.” Immediately, I didn’t believe it. Then, I realized what He’d tole me three years previous was true. I did not, in fact, believe the answer. I asked, “How can that be? How can 99.99% be false. The Holy Spirit said, “A false teaching is one which does not lead people to me.” Then, I understood. A long teaching in a church can be perfectly correct comparing words to words. But, how often does the modern (especially denominational) church tell people to go and follow God, not them?
Don't know if you realize that you are falling into the false claim that "God told me." God does NOT audibly talk to us outside of His word. To claim other wise is to deny the sufficiency of Holy Scripture. Everything He has to say to us is through His Son in The Bible. It is a finished work. No other revelation is needed. "God told me" is a favorite ploy of false teacher because they know that those ignorant of the Word will believe them.
KJKP//// I will agree with your Spirit, that the bible is mostly wrong. I know it is wrong about the afterlife. We should probably just follow Micah 6.8 and throw the rest of the book away.
@@bolt4694 ///// How do you know that? You are just guessing. God deals with each person individually. The bible is a quagmire of truth and fiction, and you claim that book to be 'the word of God???

"Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." - 2 Timothy 2:15 God's Word (KJV)
False teachers also teach contrary to the Scriptures. I am thinking of Joseph Smith, since I am an ex-Mormon and that is how I determined he was a false prophet. Good video, though.
This is excellent. I am a United Methodist evangelist, whose full-time job has become (against my will) exposing false teachers in my denomination. We are plagued with them, and the proof, the fruit is my church's plummeting membership/attendance, and its imminent split.
@faithful02u ///// If it worked as good as you say it does, I would still be a Christian. You have never found problems in the bible because you have never looked for them,. Get hold of a copy of Bart Ehrman's "Jesus Interrupted" He will point them out to you.
I agree most with the 6th and 7th ones. I'm in some agreement with the others, but there are bigger pictures to them as well. I feel much of the time, maybe not most, false teachers (maybe need quotes "") are well intended and teach what they feel are correct interpretations or points of focus. That last statement reflects the reality that Christians don't agree on everything, no matter how sincere we are.
Thank you for your videos -- I am enjoying them. Regarding the false teachers' perception of themselves, would you say, as a rule, that they are conscious that they are doing the wrong thing?
Ive listened unknowingly to false teachers and hard to identify there false teaching because they change their message when people call them on it or they don't preach the message as strong as they used to.
If you listen to sermons by John Piper, Tim Keller, David Platt, or Paul Washer, and then compare those sermons to most megachurch preachers, you will quickly be able to discern who is actually preaching exegetically from the gospel and who is preaching eisegetically to please man.
You did well. There is one point left out I wish were not true yet it is a fact that most people will follow and give their support to a false teacher much sooner than a true one. The reason is because people like lies more than the truth, thus they like false teachers much more than true ones.
Well stated and sadly true. It's because most professing Christians are in their hearts, legalists, they have to have a yard stick inwhich to measure their faith instead of relying on the true freedom through grace and love that Christ secured for us with His death on the cross, burial and resurrection.
That's because true Christianity requires humility and repentance. Following Christ is hard. Obeying Him is hard. The hyper Grace movement is easy and fun. People don't want discipline they want a license to sin.
Sure. And the Bible says - have not one thing to do with them except to expose them. Jesus sends us out two By two . To be smart as snakes & tender as doves. Takes huge discernment daily .
And boldness. So many say, "Oh, let them be! Stop criticizing, be of tolerance!" When Christ left us His commandment that we should go out and stand on His Word, sharing it with all nations and making disciples! How could we complete that and ignore so many on their way to an eternity WITHOUT Him?!
Kevin Barton, Holy Spirit told me recently, this “daily discernment” you mention is going to be increasingly required. He told me and shared with me a sense of being overwhelmed... that the amount of disinformation in the world would increase, challenging us all and creating division and confusion.
@@KJKP /// I have discerned that the bible is a quagmire of truth and fiction. I am overwhelmed by those that call this book "the inerrant word of God" when it obviously contains errors.
False teachers shows his/her disagreement on other people's beliefs . Pastors should not care about what other people's beliefs . As a pastor/teachers , their only mission is to preach the gospel , but not forcing anyone to believe in him/her
Another one is that false teachers espouses loyalty to themselves, not to the Word. They build a cult of followers loyal only to their leadership not the Word and not to God.

@@dfischer1709 No it is not. Predestination would mean God creates billions of people that are all destined for hell then picks a handful to save. That is heresy and John 3:16 contradicts that. The Catholic Church is the oldest Christian religion. What religion do you recommend is the best? Baptist, Pentecostal, Jehovah's witness? All of them have corrupt preachers among them and don't tell me they don't, I have seen them. And why do they need to call their Bible the King James Bible? To honor King James? The King James Bible is just the Catholic Bible with 7 books removed, including some of the wisdom books which say wisdom is the gift that God gives to us. Again, if the Catholic Church isn't the right religion, which one is?
@@strangeroamer3219 By your comments, I know you have not found the truth! I do not recommend any religion. I advocate the local Christian biblical church. It has many different names, but it preaches and lives the gospel of Jesus Christ.
@@strangeroamer3219 My approach is not just reading, but studying. So I use several versions of the bible, followed with the Hebrew and Greek manuscripts.
@@approvedofGod So I have read the Catholic Bible and some of the King James Bible to see why people think king James is the true translation. Jehovah’s Witnesses were started by the Russell family, one of the Satanic blood lines. That is why they have New Age occultic words like “New Dawn” in their doctrines. They are in bondage. May Jesus open their hearts to see the truth and be set free.
What if I’ve been a false teacher? I’ve said some unbiblical things when I tried to teach my little sister about the Bible. I feel so guilty now. I wasn’t trying to be a false teacher.. I just didn’t know what I was talking about! What do I do?
Yes indeed! The scriptures tell us we should judge and NAME false preachers. For example: "Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them " (Rom. 16:17) There are specific references about judging, e.g. as follows: Matt. 7:6, 15-16; 18:16-18; John 7:24; 1 Cor. 5; 2 Tim. 4:3-4, 10; 1 Thess. 5:21-22; 1 John 4:1. False teaching: Col 2:8, Heb 13:9, 2 Pet 3:16,17, Acts 20:29-31. Remember that Paul named Peter publicly. Paul named Demas for loving the world. Paul named Hymenaeus and Alexander, and Alexander the coppersmith. John named Diotrephes. "I wrote unto the church; but Diotrephes, who loveth to have the preeminence among them, receiveth us not" (III John 9). He related how this man had prated against him "with malicious words " (v. 10). He further said, "Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God, but he that doeth evil hath not seen God " (v. I 1). Yes, we are told to identify and call out those who teach falsely. And for those who trot out the "Judge not" reference, please see: th-cam.com/video/_7UryDFwEhQ/w-d-xo.html and th-cam.com/video/2Pmhs6aVezo/w-d-xo.html #
You're going strong, Tim: keep it up! Do not forget to throw in some lady names as well! I see you often commenting, Tim: what is it what you believe is the true Gospel?
I had been attending a church where I was seeing the slip into watered down sugar coated gospel. They are seem to be promoting an idea of prosperity teaching without the obvious "give me more money and God will return that money 10 fold" lines. It's been sad. They now skirt away from sin...they dont call it out. Instead they focus on anxiety, depression, fear for sermon topics. Verses are taken out of context, and isegesis is preached- what God can do for you to make life better. They also now talk about "higher levels of faith"...."next level"...I'm sitting here thinking when did I start playing a video game? lol. It has been sad to see, and when I question and call out I am accused of not understanding the intent. How I must not know what they meant because their hearts are in the right place. It was annoying to say the least.
Wow!!!! I’ve been feeling the contempt of our hierarchy as a Catholic who’s been trying to become holier & learn as much as I can of the Word of God in my life, especially since Pope Francis was made head of the church and with all his promotions of these guys you describe & his banishing of the good ones!
The Catholic Church has a ready way to banish false teachers. You mostly see bad behavior and not bad teaching although that is surely possible, All through the ages heretics (bad teachers) have been excommunicated in order to keep the doctrine pure. Keep on the path to holiness and pray for all.
Thank you for this. I’m worried that my sister who recently came back to the feet of Jesus, has been following two teachers that I think are false teachers: -Mike Parsons (sons of Issachar) and -Dr Kay Fairchild Please can you let me know if you agree whether or not they’re false teachers? Many thanks and God bless you.
Amadisima - I just wanted to quickly say… That if your sister is truly born-again, God promised to never leave her or for sake her, so she’s in the fathers hands, and he will lead her out of false teaching. I was believing some false teaching with myself for a while, but I still had the assurance that I was still saved, and God by his Holy Spirit has been leading me to truth by his word.
couldn't find any thing on mike parson dr kay fairchid teaches that the blood of JESUS was not needed , she is bad.watch her for 10 seconds and you will see for yourself
A false teacher will not call you to repent but that everything will be fine. You just have to stay in a church building and donate money. You don't have to share the Salvation through Jesus, just invited people to church.
Great!!!!!! All Christians need to hear this when they quote scripture " Thy shall not judge" not understanding the text in context I righteously hate false teachers doctrines of demons!
I like to add 1 more that’s very important to all of us. 1 John 4. Paul tells us we must test the person. If a person does not confess Jesus Christ is Lord who came in the flesh to die on the cross is not of God. This is 100% accurate and never fails. I have had many people tell me they are Christian, born again, believe in God, been baptized, grew up in the church and much more. When I asked them, “if they confess Jesus Christ is Lord who came in the flesh to die on the cross for our sins” I immediately get another answer other than yes. They will try to deceive you by saying things like they believe in Jesus or they know Jesus but never confess Jesus Christ is Lord. We know even demons believe and tremble “James 2:19” demons also know of Jesus “Acts 19:15” these are just a few passages. This also works with angels and demons as well. There are many of us who have had dreams and or visions that we rarely ever share with others, either out of fear or embarrassment. What I have personally encountered is angels will confess Jesus is Lord a demon can not confess Jesus is Lord and will say no. The person I know who had an encounter with Jesus asked the question to make sure, Jesus responded with Yes “I” did and showed His hands.
One Thing False teachers don't want to hear and preach and for that reason TWIST IT and deny the truth. Prov. 16:4…The Lord has made all for Himself, Yes, even the wicked for the day of doom. 5 Everyone proud in heart is an abomination to the Lord; Though they join forces, none will go unpunished. 6 In mercy and truth Atonement is provided for iniquity; And by the fear of the Lord one departs from evil. John 12:40 He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with [their] eyes, nor understand with [their] heart, and be converted, and I should heal them. Romans 9:18 Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will [have mercy], and whom he will he hardeneth. 2 Thessalonians 2:11-12 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
Wow, based on some of the comments, a false teacher is anyone the commenter disagrees with on interpretation. The level of strife within the church shows a lack of humility and love that we bare to the world. That love and humility is the milk of the Gospel. It's no wonder there are so many choking on the meat of the Word.
A tree is known by its fruits. A good tree doesn't bears a bad fruit and vice versa. We can determine whether they are false by their actions and those who dont preach the Gospel of Christ and His blood are obviously false.
Very please can you cite examples of false teachers during this lecture for example, are the Jehovah's Witnesses false teachers and why are they referencing scripture to what they teach. Tks
Mission Happy yes the JWs are a cult and are not even Christian But anti christ like the Muslims and Mormons. They believe that Jesus is Michael the archangel. The Mormons believe that Jesus and Satan are brothers and the Muslims think that Jesus is a mere prophet and not God manifest in the flesh
I listen to different pastors on you tube and believe they are teaching the word of God correctly, then I see something about the same Pastor consider a false teacher. This steps will help me, some are obvios that if you miss them is cuz you just don't want to see them. But for me #5 is the hardest to discover in a false teacher. When they speak with enloquece to mascarade the truth. If someone has any tips, please let me know. God Bless.
Hi Marisela. Though it's a year late, maybe this response can still help you or someone else with a similar question. I believe that Scripture is our best safeguard for testing any teaching. Doesn't matter who's speaking, even someone you've trusted. Double check if what he's saying is in the Bible and in line with Scripture. Your first step is to see if there is any direct contradiction. The second step could be to see if what he teaches is taken from the literary context (does it make sense within the passage) and the historical context (was this what the author had in mind when he was writing the letter). Hope this is helpful. God bless.
False teachers often don't know they are. Others can see it, but they can't because they are too far gone in their beliefs.
Greg Rickard no way, Satan is too clever for that, they know ... they are part of the wide world beast system. They picked Satan over Christ
Most of them are truly deceived. Some have been given over to a strong delusion.
Anyone who doesn’t confesses Jesus as Lord is not of God.
All men choose their own way. The heart is desperately wicked who can know it's depths? Christ seeks us out, not the other way around.
@@yrubla //// Only in Christianity. Other religions do not believe that.
Thank you, a much needed reminder in an age where discernment is easily thrown out the window as we become "desperate" for any sign of spiritual life
Yes. Many are spiritually dry, and instead of seeking God, they look for feel good preachers and prophets.
MONSTERSURFER019 - yes .
So true .for it says let us work out our own salvation in fear and trembling
True. If you rely solely on what many preachers say, you wouldn’t even nearly know half of all what the bible says.
The problem is, how do we prevent cherry picking of verses? That is only by iron sharpening iron. Now we have online sharpening. Many must be reshaped as well. Many will be exposed at not true and not worthy to be sharpened.
There are false teachers who deceive purposely and then there are teachers who just lack proper teaching that may love Jesus.
Then there are preachers who are just plain wrong, many! Had to be said.
As a general rule, all false teachers REFUSE correction.
@@tmo4330 but some techers who didnt mean to teach something false would want to correct it
@@bailujen8052 Great comment! Anyone willing to accept correction and change their teaching on a certain subject is not a false teacher.
Thank you. Spot on. Arrogance is also a dead giveaway.
Yes, I was surprised that wasn’t on the list. Maybe because many false teachers are good at disguising it with “niceness” or a false humility.
Wow...You just described every prosperity preacher, Hillsong preachers, Brian Houston, Steven Furtick, TD Jakes, Todd White, Creflo Dollar, Kenneth Copeland and many more.
Therefore if you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.
Yes sir. I often "say take the word of God for what it is and not what you want it to be".

Jesus spoke plainly about this group in a parable:
“1 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.
5 And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.”
Jesus and the Bible, his WORD, are ONE AND THE SAME!!!
“Verily, verily, I say unto you, I AM THE DOOR OF THE SHEEP.”
(John 10:7)
Those who don’t go in by THE WORD, are trying to climb up some other way! But those who find Gods TRUTH through the WORD are the SHEPHERD OF THE SHEEP!!
People be wise and seek God through his WORD, man will lead you astray, God won’t:
“31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in MY WORD, then are ye my disciples indeed;
32 And ye shall know THE TRUTH, and the truth shall MAKE YOU FREE.”
(John 8:31-32)

Two things you didn't include, which I find is common for false teachers: 1) they undermine the Word by raising questions about it that sew doubt in the minds of the immature; and 2) they add to the Word by claiming they have "a word from God" about this or that, or claim He had told them something that no one else has been told...usually involving something they think God wants you to do, not them, and often it's money-related.
Very true!
Excellent points!

Thank you all for being you 💖
I will add one more sign of a false teacher to your list which is excellent: false teachers deny the deity of Jesus Christ.
Jesus set the example for us to follow.
only one sign of a false teacher. they are teaching from a bronze age book of myths.
In 1 cor.14: 34 strictly says women are to be silent in the church period...
What a fine message and a fine young man! We need more brothers like you!

Matthew 7:15-20
"15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them."
IF they teach one thing and do the opposite then they are not of God and I would say be wary around them because it is those people that could possibly lead You astray from the narrow path without You realising it, especially as You said they seem to be teaching the truth, they could be doing so to cast their hook and when hooked start teaching falsities

Good video. Our Pastor tells us often don't take my word for it read the Word to know for yourself.
@Jerry Collins they certainly weren't the cream of the crop.
There's no logical reason to disagree with the 2nd test. Good people don't attack the innocent.

I agree most with the 6th and 7th ones. I'm in some agreement with the others, but there are bigger pictures to them as well. Thank you for having warned us against false teachers. indeed they are unfortunately present in the church.thank you again for exposing their methods.
Whoa! Such a timely message! Thank you!!!

Can someone please help me understand what this can do in the long wrong. We are born agai so I am confused how this is possible.
Number 8: you get woke and are a part of the Gospel Coalition.
Hi Tim! Thanks for this. What do you think about Ana Werners? Is she of Christ or a false seer?
Jesus is Lord
Amen! (ONLY the CREATOR is Lord)
Lord God bless you and your loved ones!
This brings eye opening perspective
Sounds just like the Jehovah’s witnesses.
Jehovah’s Witnesses were started by the Russell family, one of the Satanic blood lines. That is why they have New Age occultic words like “New Dawn” in their doctrines. They are in bondage. May Jesus open their hearts to see the truth and be set free.
Sounds like today's seeker sensitive mega churches, word of faith, prosperity, and charismatic churches.
& Mormonism!!
Russel was a freemason.
What if I’ve been a false teacher? I’ve said some unbiblical things when I tried to teach my little sister about the Bible. I feel so guilty now. I wasn’t trying to be a false teacher.. I just didn’t know what I was talking about! What do I do?
Names we want names lol!!
Yes indeed! The scriptures tell us we should judge and NAME false preachers. For example: "Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them " (Rom. 16:17) There are specific references about judging, e.g. as follows:
Matt.
And for those who trot out the "Judge not" reference, please see:

You're going strong, Tim: keep it up! Do not forget to throw in some lady names as well!
I see you often commenting, Tim: what is it what you believe is the true Gospel?
tim spangler Now, that's funny!
The Watcher lol I wanted that too
LOL... I saw this comment and looked right... the author of this video has another titled, “7 false teachers in the church today.”
What do you think of John Wimber?
I’d stay away from 501 (c) outfits and those who teach JP Morgan funded Scofield lies like pre millennial dispensationalism.
Yes and a secret pre-tribulation rapture also false
These can apply to false Christians too. My soul is in check. Thanks for posting.
Roman Catholic Church is mystery Babylon
AMEN BROTHER!
FULL ARMOUR OF GOD! AND COMMIT TO WALK WITH JESUS DAILY!
That fact that I’ve seen so many of these type of videos means I really need to look at the Christians around me and how they act
Thank you for this. I’m worried that my sister who recently came back to the feet of Jesus, has been following two teachers that I think are false teachers:
-Mike Parsons (sons of Issachar) and
-Dr Kay Fairchild
Please can you let me know if you agree whether or not they’re false teachers? Many thanks and God bless you.
Amadisima - I just wanted to quickly say… That if your sister is truly born-again, God promised to never leave her or for sake her, so she’s in the fathers hands, and he will lead her out of false teaching. I was believing some false teaching with myself for a while, but I still had the assurance that I was still saved, and God by his Holy Spirit has been leading me to truth by his word.
couldn't find any thing on mike parson
dr kay fairchid teaches that the blood of JESUS was not needed , she is bad.watch her for 10 seconds and you will see for yourself
Epic. Thank you and thank you Father ☘️
The Word. Amen. The sword, the staff, the wine and the oil. Love you brother.
All well said. God bless you.
Mr. Challis? Are you familiar with Michael Rood? Would you consider him a false teacher?
Dose this apply to SDA church? With their Ellen G White visions or other debatable rules or laws that they make?
What do you think of Brian Guerin ?
One Thing False teachers don't want to hear and preach and for that reason TWIST IT and deny the truth. Prov. 16:4…The Lord has made all for Himself, Yes, even the wicked for the day of doom. 5 Everyone proud in heart is an abomination to the Lord; Though they join forces, none will go unpunished. 6 In mercy and truth Atonement is provided for iniquity; And by the fear of the Lord one departs from evil.
John 12:40
He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with [their] eyes, nor understand with [their] heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.
Romans 9:18
Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will [have mercy], and whom he will he hardeneth.
2 Thessalonians 2:11-12
And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
Wow, based on some of the comments, a false teacher is anyone the commenter disagrees with on interpretation. The level of strife within the church shows a lack of humility and love that we bare to the world. That love and humility is the milk of the Gospel. It's no wonder there are so many choking on the meat of the Word.
Great insight and knowledge of God Thank you🙏🙂
A tree is known by its fruits.
Tks
MH///// A thousand denominations -> a thousand interpretations of the bible.
God bless.
MC///// Give up Christianity. Concoct your own religion.
Love this. So sad. So True!
Very helpful!
