dude I have used blender for 10 years and I always used the (terrible, slow, inaccurate and wrong tool for job) knife tool for cutting things, I had no idea I could just use box trim to immediately slice away a big chunk of a model like that. Amazing. I also had a chuckle hearing about your panic when unable to see the textures, I'm sure that one was tricky to find a solution for (is my file corrupt? does the app not give textures? is blender wrong? is it because there is no lighting? etc). Little mistakes like that are essentialto learning the process, the type of problem you remember the solution to after solving it once. Thank you for the tutorial, I would have been pretty lost to try this without a guide.
Fun fact: your oculus home isn’t gone, it’s still in your files as an unreal engine app, though I use different methods like virtual desktop’s games tab to open it so I dunno what running the exe itself will do
There are much better 3D scanning apps that can almost perfectly replicate your room. The app is called luma and it uses AI to accurately recreate whatever you're scanning, but it's unfortunately only on IOS
1) You actually went to the -facebook- Metaverse? 2) The company that renamed itself Meta actually deleted your share of its namesake world? VRchat still looks like a better metaverse.. or even Star Citizen. One of these days I'll get to try VR.
Can I scan my divorce papers?
Yes legit can, I had blueprints and documents I scanned as touchable items it's Hella funny with the right things
glad i could help, i will now be expecting the agreed upon payment of six (6) shiny golden doubloons for every download
but can VR get me out of my tax evasion charges??
Wonderful to see some new NerdFuel content, genuinely got hooked from that half life Alyx stuff and I really love this new content!
Ngl i don’t really watch smaller channels (by comparison) but nerds production value goes hard asf. Also NF, FIX THAT WRETCHED CABLEING😂

There must be a scanning tool already available in the Quest store perhaps?
@@DeDodgingEse I'm not sure, I haven't considered using the Quest for scanning purposes. I'm sure someone's done it
Dude you are fucking hilarious and also I’m 100% doing this
Funny, I have this exact scan too…
