Your welcome It’s usually done this way so then it’s not by there hay and water, so reducing waste that gets wet or mixed with hay. But you can fill the whole stable with straw x

As a long time professional groom I would be dismissed for risking injury frim a horse lying on bare floor and not giving bedding to the door
