This might sound weird, but I have bad anxiety and am currently struggling, so I am on a binge through your videos. There's something so relaxing about them! I've been following you for a while, but it's still so satisfying. While going on my binge, I went back to the first video I watched of you (Mickey and you go for cake) and wow girl, your editing and quality have improved so much! Also, I'm from the US and do a similar mucking technique, especially the banking the shavings and letting the muck roll down. Saves so much time!
it would be cool...if she needs it tho. there's no point spending loads of money on 'tac' (it's tack btw) and buckets and wheelbarrow and other stuff if it isn't needed.
Hi Esme! :) I just wanted to thank you for the awesome work you put into all your videos! We used to live in England but had to move to Switzerland for varies reasons, which sometimes makes me miss the country even if the weather isn’t exactly the best there, haha! Watching your videos makes me really happy because your accent makes me feel at home + the horses are gorgeous, whom I am now also obsessed with. I just wanted to let you know that your videos are awesome and I absolutely love the horses and atmosphere! Xx Well done x
*just finished doing a complete stall clean out on a 12’x12’ and 20’x9’ stall* *comes home to sit down and watch This Esme muck out* Am I the only one that gets a lot of satisfaction and almost sleepy watching her cleaning videos? I mean she gets it SPOTLESS!! 🤩🥰 TIP: I don’t know if they have these in the UK, but they’re called pelletized bedding. It’s pine shavings that have been compressed into pellets. What my trainer taught me was if you soak them down, they will start to bubble like popcorn and is *very satisfiying*! Wetting them down helps with dust as well but turns it more to a powder-like, very low dust form. The pee spots also turn red (just like with shavings) BUT clump together like cat litter, which reduces the amount of wasted bedding. The pellets are more expensive in the beginning but are very easy to maintain if the stables are mucked out throughout the day. If you don’t muck out often or just don’t need to, I wouldn’t recommend them because I’ve done that too😂! I thought I would throw that out there because not a lot of people know about them! When I’m letting pee spots air out, I also sprinkle some Lime (which is a stall deordizer that helps kill ammonia and helps with flies) on the wet spots and put the shavings ON TOP when I’m done. You don’t want to use to much of it because it can be a skin irritant for horses. Really helps with pee odor, keeping the rubber mats from molding/getting nasty, and fly populations! Happy Mucking Out Everyone! We all know that we are going to attempt and make our stalls look like Mickey and Casper’s tonight! Be Safe and Happy Riding! 😁
I love your channel so much, you have really helped me learn through my horsey journey! I love you and your equines, you’re all adorable together. you can see how much your ponies and donkeys love you, it’s so cute!!! 🧡
I love seeing other people mucking out their stables. Especially when they are doing it differently. In the barn where i work they have these wood pellets, that turn into powder, when they get wet. So it's really absorbent and dust free and you have literally no muck at all. On good days i have one wheelbarrow load for 7 stables. But the process is pretty similar to yours :)
Just wanted to drop in and give you a huuuge thumbs up for all your great advertisement and education on keeping horses outside in their herd!! Also loved your night time video. You really are a good influence in the horse world!!
You are the best and your such a inspiration to me!!!! I ride and I love it 😍 Your also the best because I have gotten SO many great tips from you!!!!!
I’m from the US and what I do to move the water buckets around is when they are empty you could put them in the wheelbarrow then you can move them around easy! Love your videos!
At the yard where I currently loan and used to work (until the riding school element shut down) we use chip (sliced up trees and that) and always make banks to save it. Once we have taken out all the pee and poop, we make banks along the sides with the ok chip and sweep the stable floor. Then we (would) leave it to air to do the other stalls, then take down the banks to cover as much as possible (still leaving some banks) and then get a wheelbarrow of chip to cover the rest. Then fill the haynets with fresh hay, sweep it back and put the horse back in. Wow that was long 😂😂❤️❤️
OMG I LOVE THIS!!! (also, that shot of the go pro, i was thinking, ew no ur gonna have to get it... and you did and filmed it lol! LOVE SO SM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
You work so hard and look after Casper mickey so well ❤️💞 I love your videos they are so inspirational I’ve recently gotten more into riding by your help 💕
You're videos are very practical and are helping me a lot. I like your videos and that is so cool you have donkeys because many people dont have and wont appreciate them. Good luck with horses and in future❤❤
Amazing video Esme you never fail to impress me! I’m getting a horse soon, maybe in a couple weeks and i don’t know anything about a horse, but I started watching your videos in January and now I’m like an expert! Thank you so much you are so amazing and I hope to meet you one day!
This video is really helpful! Your horses and donkeys are all gorgeous and I love your intro by the way! You’re right this video is incredibly satisfying!
Thanks this is really helpful❤️ I have always been trying to find helpful ways to muck out and my horses (monty and woody) they now love the way there stables are set out ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I love your channel so so much ❤ usually I tune out, don't listen, or skip through videos with a lot of talking, but I always watch through your talking. I ride western, and live in America, so it's really cool to see all the differences between everything! I'm currently leasing a quarter horse whose a bay paint mix. She's 14hh and the most adorable thing in the world! My 1 year anniversary of riding was just a few days ago! Your channel really inspired me, and helped me know how to keep going. I love you and thank you so much Esme! ❤
I use a 'poop scooper' to get the pool that's not mixed in with the bedding, then I use gloves to get all the little bits of poor that are mixed around/buried 😁 I use the gloves to get up the pee that's on top of the bed (as he's deep littered and it gets taken out once a week) as it's easier. I find I barely have ANY bedding in my barrow afterwards 😊 I use flax (which is he same as easibed)
this is really helpful Esme! my mum keeps on complaining about my mucking out skills lol :) cant wait to try this out later when i bring my ponies in from the feild x
I would suggest that you put everything on a side and make a bed for them in the evening when the horses go into the barn. I do that too, because then the wet spots on the ground become dry. Sweet greetings from Switzerland. 💗
I love your channel Esme and your so inspiring towards me and other people you are the reason I keep going and try new things 💕. I am so excited for the next mail time with Mickey and could you also do the grid work bounce challenge on Casper? Thank you so much for your inspirational videos 💕🐴
Can u do like a full clean up when the weather gets better pls? Like pampering the horses/donkeys, cleaning tack, cleaning the yard and the tack/food rooms and stuff like that ❤️

This is so helpful! I’ve currently got my first horse(got him in January) , and I’m slowly learning how to muck out. I was never taught as I’ve only been riding for about 3 years and didn’t really learn to care for a horse. Thank you for this because it really helped me. ❤️
