Guys, yr videos have really moved to the next level. You use yr surrounding quaint area for tests and back drops, mixing close ups and overall high definition quality, a pleasure to watch. I'm no cruiser guy, though enjoyed it, especially how u managed to balance the exhaust note even from a distance. Fab stuff ☺
I pulled the trigger and bought this bike just a week ago (a 2021, same color, 4 miles on the odometer). It's wonderful so far. Notably more nimble and basic than my '16 RGS, but very fun solo and not at all bad 2 up. Thanks again, guys!
Panniers off, windscreen off. Solo Mustang seat, Full Vance and Hines exhaust. Added Rear LED and front LED turn indicators. The bike is now off the hook.
Guys. I've watched this review about 6 times while motorbike training on a shadow 125. I passed my MOD2 last month and today bought the Heritage Classic 114 (2022 model) in the exact same colour as your's today (06/05/22) I've also had the V&H Eliminator 300s fitted. Your videos, especially this one, has had an influence on my choice including the exhaust. Incidentally, I found the bike very comfortable on the test ride and I'm 5'6" Thank you and keep posting those videos.
I had a 2007 Road King Classic, which I did not particularly like and I sold it. Last year I bought a 1995 Softail Heritage Classic instead, which I absolutely love. These carburated EVO engines run beautifully. Especially at idle they sound even better than the fuel injected ones (with aftermarket pipes of course). I like to ride it without windscreen. It has a beach bar, which looks great and works perfectly for me. What surprised me the most is how nimble the bike is despite the high weight. It reacts extremely well on counter steer. Another thing that surprised me was that it is much more fuel efficient than the fuel injected Road King: close to 56 miles per imperial gallon instead of 42. I really appreciate your reviews, especially as I am also 6ft3”, while most reviewers are ‘vertically challenged’...
I have the 2018 Softail Deluxe as I am 5ft 10 and 160 lbs. Like you, I love my bike. Been riding since I was 16 and now am 74 And must say the best bike I've owned and my first Harley

Great review and thanks very much! I am a lifelong biker, have owned Yamahas, Ducatis, Huskys, KTMs, BMWs, Triumphs and Harleys. I recently sold my '16 Road Glide Special so am "in the market," and have been looking at these. Honestly, this bike does 95% of everything a RGS does and it's lighter (to a HD rider, feels MUCH lighter) and more nimble. I do love the convertible nature of the looks (from shielded bagger to stripped down solo FLH looking). Good job!
The best looking of all the HD's. And the fact that it is so convertible is great. I'm not into bags or windscreens so on most days I wouldn't use them. But it's great to have them available. Your videos are a pleasure to watch because they show the English countryside. How about a video riding around it a bit. For those of us who would love to, but probably will never get there.
Thanks buddy! Agreed. We have plans to film a bit more like you say. We are considering doing some rides/ short tours around, showing the interesting places as well as the bike.
My favorite Harley also. The olive green and black two-tone 2018 Heritage is the best looking. 2021 has a green two-tone also but it is not as attractive as the 2018
Hello Gents, another great video. I agree with your assessment of the Heritage 114. I purchased a 2020 in May last year and absolutely love this bike, its my first 114 engine. Take care.

I test rode one of these last summer in Sundance Wyoming. I agree that it is a very easy bike to ride and handling is much improved over the previous Heritage model which I took on an extended rental a few years ago.. The windscreen works well, for me, and I like the easy open and stylish bags. My '03 Road King is a handful compared to this much lighter and maneuverable motorcycle. I'm a bit old school so I prefer a real ignition switch and throttle cables. Nice review, fellas.
Very well done! One of the best videos on the Heritage Classic Special. We just bought a 2021 model for my wife and refer to your video often. It helped us to decide that the Heritage 114 Special was the right bike to get for our rides together. Thanks for producing.
I've got the exact same bike, but a 2019. Same color. Originally took the bags and windshield off, but they are so convenient that I added the tour pack, which holds my briefcase for work just perfectly... oh well. I'm at a point that I prefer function over looking cool anyway...
Owning a 2018 115th Anniversary Heritage is like owning 2 Bikes. Taking the screen, bags & backseat off changes it personality from tourer to bad ass. Good review on the new one. Surprised to hear the hp & torque have been decreased.
I’m 5’8” with 30in inseam. The bars are an easy reach and right where they need to be but the floor controls are a reach and the highway bars…. Forget it. I agree with the breaks, just manage speed, increase following distances, plan ahead and you’ll be fine.
What a great video, very informative and true to pos and cons. I really enjoy it and the driving shots in between made the video very dynamic. 👍🏼 thank you for sharing your time.
WAY too many negatives for that price point. Harley needs to up their game quite a bit to stay relevant in today's large cruiser market. Good video fellas. Your channel is always a pleasure to watch.
I currently own a '79 shovelhead.., but I really like this model over all the other HD's...it has interesting similarities to the older cruisers. Thanks for the great vid !!

I must admit the Heritage looks great. I do really love the look of the Softail Slim also and I think that may be my favourite but they seem quite rare - Sycamores have not had many. If you ever get to test ride a slim and compare it that would be interesting. I have a 48 at the moment but I would really like to test ride some softails this year.
great review, I like the way you explain the "feel" of things, not just the specs. I can't rememebr if you already reviewed teh Road King (I just bought one) but I'd be interested in your thoughts compared to the Heritage Classic....
Absolutely brilliant! Can you do a comparison to the Road King? I´m myself 6´2", and love to see "old man" on the Road King for size comparison. After this vid I´m really torn between those to models.
Have you looked into the cost of a twin disc brake front end with ABS. For me that's a very easy bike to live with that's very customisable so you don't have to get a new bike. I'd get rid of the pillion pad and replace it with a large top box with back support. The other Harley I like a lot is the Sport Glide with mids for a 5'8 rider. Now for the BMW Classic.
Hey gents! I watched this immediately after watching your R18 Classic review, and I’m guessing that the BMW is a more complete motorcycle. It will be interesting to hear your verdict next week. Mind you, I’ve always been a bit of a Beemer fanboy 😎. Great work....keep them coming!
I'd love to have one of these in my garage, but at £20k(starting) for a new one it's far too much, even a used 2-3 year old go for £16-17k, so I'll stick with my 2008 Superglide and dream on😎 BTW....excellent and informative review, keep up the good work.
You are correct, that Harley looks really nice and so much better without the bags and screen. It looks easy to ride but do not think I would like the forward foot controls. I am more a Honda man so for me the Honda CB1100 would be my dream bike after your review of it and it seems a bargain compared to the price of the Harley.
Looking forward to the R18 classic review; few questions on R18 classic's ; highway comfortable, stability at high speed knowing is come with 16" front wheel. + removing the windshield. Thank you very much.
Hello, from across the pond. I love your videos keep up the good work. I recently bought a HD 2023 Heritage Classic as a retirement gift after working as a Prison Guard for 35 years. I love the Heritage, unbelievable, torque and power in all gears. Excellent handling and for a large cruiser good in the corners and extremely comfortable could ride across North America. If you guys ever find yourself in the Western New York area look me up would love to ride with you guys. Go Buffalo Bills! Have you guys ever been to an American Football game?
Muy buena prueba y bien subtitulada en Español. Me gusta mucho la Heritage Classic es mi HD favorita. Me acabo de comprar una Super Chief Limited de Indian sería bueno compararlas.
Do you have clear protection film on the fender for rear pillion? I bought a pillion for my Street Bob, on some forums I saw pillion scratches fender... So to overcome this I am planning to have ceramic application and protection film afterwards. I wonder how did you solve this problem? Thanks
The heritage classic comes with the clear protection film already on the bike. I would definitely recommend putting it on the street Bob before putting the pillion seat on!
What a beautiful bike,I LOVE the Heritage Softail Classic line of bikes,I own a 2003 100 year anniversary bike, reliable and rides like a dream,my next bike I’m gonna add is this new Heritage, the 03 has the 88B motor and I’m looking forward to the 114

Great video!. I myself drive a old Streetfighter Triumph speed triple. Just had the chance of testing this Harley. Was shocked how good it was to ride compared to my bike. Think my bike is about 200 kg.Could not feel the weight of the Harley when i backed up and parked it. I want one and i want it so bad!
Great video. Just found your review on the V&H pipes on the Heritage. No I'm watching all your videos. Wales looks sick. Love the father son combo. Cheers!
Enjoyed the review! Im 6’1” and sat on one. I’m here in the States. I’d have to get a different seat with passenger backrest/luggage rack and set it up with pipes and be set!
Thank you for this great video ! (Too bad the subtitles don't work, I didn't understand everything, but I understood the basics.) I just ordered a 2021 FLHCS, your video confirms my choice. The look without saddlebags, passenger seat and windshield is magnificent. Thanks again
It seems more difficult to replace the exhaust on the 2021 model, because of the probes that have been added, no ? They're V&H eliminator on yours, aren't they?
hi , after watching speed twin vid and commenting , [thanks for your reply ] am staying with harley ,,, and sykes hd , my virtual friend [due to lock down] at sykes nearly had a fit when i mentioned the t word,,, fine bikes from both makes and would like them all./// but the hd heritage fits you and me and the young darcy ,,, so you really can;t improve on what you have , this refresher update video confirms this ,,,, you can just add bikes to your stable ,,, [ps .. i am 6 ft 2 so i can relate to needs like you about sizing ,, hd does seem to cover this better than most bike makers.
Too bad only one front disc brake and tubed tires! The last time I had a flat on a tubed tire I was sorry I had them! Looks like a good review over all! Thanks for the effort!
@@MrDarcy-OlMan thanks guys. I don’t know if there’s a low rider model entry this year, but I believe they had it in 2020. It’s a super nice bike but I’m 6 feet! Lol. Thanks for ur constant replies as well! Appreciate it!
It’s the weight that makes this bike a hard choice for me to buy. I really struggled with my 306kg Dyna FatBob so I sold it to a younger fit guy, who dropped it in the first 3-days! I think it’s essential to fit a reverse gear by Baker transmissions which cost £2500 ish but worth it. I was going too on the Fatbob, & but at the time , it’s £17k price was enough to find! There was a fuel range indicator on the Dyna, & I can’t believe that’s not on this bike. Just scroll thru on the mode button on the left bar! The button that gives you a clock, & trip mileage. Personally I fit a little HD clock on my bars which is easier to glance at than scrolling thru. Another thing, get your bike properly set up on a dyno, as the guys at SPR in Ruddington, Notts found my bike was way off, as the dealers are not experts on engine mapping.
Hey Guys, great video but have a question when you first got the heritage you were going back and fourth between it and the street bob with the 107 now that the street bob has the 114, what are your thoughts and future plans?
Thanks Nicholas! Darcy would like the Street Bob 114 (bit the licensing laws prevent this for 3 more years). Now I’ve got the Heritage Id loose too much on mine so wouldn’t be worth it, however, if I didn’t have s bike then it would definitely figure
@@MrDarcy-OlMan Are you saying the Road King handel's better than the Heritage and the road king is roomier? I go back and forth between these two bikes. I am 6'02 and 240 lbs. I heard from others I would be happier on a road king compared with the heritage. However, if the heritage worked for my size I would rather have it (I think?) than the road king.

I'd love to have one of these in my garage, but at £20k(starting) for a new one it's far too much, even a used 2-3 year old go for £16-17k, so I'll stick with my 2008 Superglide and dream on😎
BTW....excellent and informative review, keep up the good work.
Yes they are pricey. Hopefully the rise in new prices will bring up the resale value of older ones (for my sake lol!)
for a long day of travel would you choose this or something more like the Road glide or Street glide for their bigger fairings?
Good point and if that was my regular riding then yes. The Heritage Classic is more of a cruiser with touring ability
@@MrDarcy-OlMan awesome thank you. Just subscribed 😁
@@veteranveteran9915 Welcome aboard 💯
I’m 5 foot 5 inches and it felt amazing for me to ride
That’s great 👍🏼👍🏼
Red sticker is a great idea. Getting some myself.
Thanks. Actually I painted it on 👍🏼
Very nice review as always
Thanks buddy!
awesome cruiser! loved this vid and looking forward to the BMW one!
Yes thanks buddy. The BMW is sitting here waiting for the snow to thaw!
These videos are great
Can you do more of these reviews that show bikes for tall people
Yes definitely! Thanks bud 👍🏼
@@MrDarcy-OlMan 👍
You are correct, that Harley looks really nice and so much better without the bags and screen.
It looks easy to ride but do not think I would like the forward foot controls.
I am more a Honda man so for me the Honda CB1100 would be my dream bike after your review of it and it seems a bargain compared to the price of the Harley.
Yes it’s a very imposing bike. The Honda is great but very different. Yes quite a price difference too!
Great video. Thanks for showing the bike without a windshield or bags!
Thanks bro 👍🏼👍🏼
Absolutely love this bike and your videos! Very informative guys, keep up the good work!!
Thanks buddy! 👍🏼👍🏼
Looking forward to the R18 classic review; few questions on R18 classic's ; highway comfortable, stability at high speed knowing is come with 16" front wheel. + removing the windshield. Thank you very much.
Thanks! Yes we will look at all of that in the review. Just waiting for the snow to melt and we're off!
Thanks, no we have never been to see American Football 👍🏼
Please go on detail with the seating position, exspeacilly for tall riders on the R18 and HD...cause of the Boxer...! Ty!! Keep up the good work!
Yes we definitely will 💯👍🏼
Muy buena prueba y bien subtitulada en Español. Me gusta mucho la Heritage Classic es mi HD favorita.
Me acabo de comprar una Super Chief Limited de Indian sería bueno compararlas.
Muchas gracias amigo 👍🏼
Really great review video! Great content! Keep up the good work!
Thanks buddy 👍🏼
Great review and great bike! 😊
Thanks buddy 👍🏼💯
Do you have clear protection film on the fender for rear pillion? I bought a pillion for my Street Bob, on some forums I saw pillion scratches fender... So to overcome this I am planning to have ceramic application and protection film afterwards. I wonder how did you solve this problem? Thanks
The heritage classic comes with the clear protection film already on the bike. I would definitely recommend putting it on the street Bob before putting the pillion seat on!
@@MrDarcy-OlMan will do for sure then, thanks ✌🏻
What a beautiful bike,I LOVE the Heritage Softail Classic line of bikes,I own a 2003 100 year anniversary bike, reliable and rides like a dream,my next bike I’m gonna add is this new Heritage, the 03 has the 88B motor and I’m looking forward to the 114
Nice bike. Then you removed the screen and bags. I'm sold. ' Hundred percent !! Thx.
Looks like a nice bike, I had a 16',at one point. Would love to see a trike review for harley.
We did a trike review back in 2019, before we were making more serious reviews though. Maybe we’ll do a more up to date one soon.

If I had the brass I'd buy one. Only happen if I have a rich relative I don't know about dying and leaving me loads of money. Still, I'm happy with my Evo Fatboy and Sporty. Keep up the good work.
Thanks Tim. You never know!
Thanks buddy. Yes it’s a phenomenal bike! 💯
Great video. Just found your review on the V&H pipes on the Heritage. No I'm watching all your videos. Wales looks sick. Love the father son combo. Cheers!
Awesome. Welcome aboard. We recently compared eliminator 300 and twin slash
I don't even like Harleys and I clicked
Maybe we’re turning you to the bad side 👍🏼
Ride one... tell me you don’t feel ten feet tall...
I dont like HD also, think they love harley most of all😂😂😂
Seat height is ok for shorter riders too. My wife is 5’ 6” and this is her bike. Hers is a 2020 and we did 5K miles this past summer.
That’s great, it’s certainly a bike that most people can ride easily.
Enjoyed the review! Im 6’1” and sat on one. I’m here in the States. I’d have to get a different seat with passenger backrest/luggage rack and set it up with pipes and be set!
Thanks buddy! Yes it’s very easy to personalise the Harleys 👍🏼👍🏼
Thank you for this great video ! (Too bad the subtitles don't work, I didn't understand everything, but I understood the basics.)
I just ordered a 2021 FLHCS, your video confirms my choice.
The look without saddlebags, passenger seat and windshield is magnificent.
Thanks again
Thanks buddy! Sorry we forgot to enable subtitles. I’ll do it asap. Great to hear it helped
I tried the R18: beautiful object but non-existent rear suspension, inability to move my legs prohibitive for me
@@NicoSc2811 ok I see.👍🏼👍🏼
It seems more difficult to replace the exhaust on the 2021 model, because of the probes that have been added, no ?
They're V&H eliminator on yours, aren't they?
@@NicoSc2811 I don’t know about that to be honest. Yes mine are Vance and Hines Eliminator 300
Curious to see what you guys think of the 2022 Indian Supreme Chief bagger and how it compares to the Heritage!
Yes we are on Indians VIP list so will certainly be reviewing that in due course.
It should have a Reserve fuel mileage. My 2021 slim has it. I believe they have the same Speedometer gauge options
hi , after watching speed twin vid and commenting , [thanks for your reply ] am staying with harley ,,, and sykes hd , my virtual friend [due to lock down] at sykes nearly had a fit when i mentioned the t word,,, fine bikes from both makes and would like them all./// but the hd heritage fits you and me and the young darcy ,,, so you really can;t improve on what you have , this refresher update video confirms this ,,,, you can just add bikes to your stable ,,, [ps .. i am 6 ft 2 so i can relate to needs like you about sizing ,, hd does seem to cover this better than most bike makers.
Thanks buddy. Yes we’re with you there. The Indian Springfield Dark Horse is even more roomy!
Video quality is good. No worries there. ✌️ Whats up with the red marking on the kill switch? :-)
Thanks buddy. I painted a blob of red on the kill switch. I guess I’m used to that from my MX days
another great and substantial Video!.....Looking forward to seeing your review of the yesterday launched new Indian Chief and his variants!
Thanks bro! Yes we are on the VIP list for all the new Indians!
nice video guys!
the old man looks like a beast!
Thanks bud! 💪🏻💪🏻
Great video! Is this bike good for a long journey?
Thanks buddy. Yes absolutely 👍🏼👍🏼
Too bad only one front disc brake and tubed tires! The last time I had a flat on a tubed tire I was sorry I had them! Looks like a good review over all! Thanks for the effort!
Thanks very much 💯
Outstanding review and lot god god information from newbie and I am also tall so this is an excellent review thank you
Thank you!
Hope u guys have the time to review a Harley Davidson low rider 2017-20. Tq🙏
We will definitely be reviewing the latest Harleys
Yes it's pretty heavy. The reverse is essential we would say, from now on, on bikes like this. It should be a Harley option by now.
Nice looking bike in the black with chrome exhaust and with or without screen and bags. How would it compare with a Road King.
I think it handles nicer and is a bit more roomy
@@MrDarcy-OlMan Are you saying the Road King handel's better than the Heritage and the road king is roomier? I go back and forth between these two bikes. I am 6'02 and 240 lbs. I heard from others I would be happier on a road king compared with the heritage. However, if the heritage worked for my size I would rather have it (I think?) than the road king.
@@EM-eg3qc sorry that was ambiguous. The Heritage Classic handles better in my opinion and has more room for the rider. You are sitting further forward with the Touring Bikes
@@MrDarcy-OlMan Thank you for the clarification. After posting my comment I noticed you had a video for the Road King and watched it. I will be giving them both a test ride soon, hopefully. Thank you for sharing your great insights!!
@@EM-eg3qc No problem bro!
