Honda have just released to the UK and EU market, the new Honda GB350S motorcycle; at last! and rumours are that it may come to the USA as well, we don't know. But this bike has been available in Japan and India for some time already, so if you live in India particularly, then this review is for you too!
Now there is a serious contender for the 350cc crown, which until now has been entirely dominated by Royal Enfield. Just how good is this new motorbike? We find out!
In this comprehensive review, and as aficionados of this genre of motorcycle, we go into every detail, including the looks, engine performance, power, torque, aesthetics, riding position, handling, comfort, sound, styling, speedometer, handlebars, price, colours and more! You can also get an extremely good impression of what this motorcycle sounds like, as always, as well as some great POV shots so you can ride it virtually with us.
If you are considering buying this new model, then this video is for you! You will not be left wondering, we can assure you. And don't forget, that Honda offers finance for the purchase of this, and all their motorcycles. Check out Honda in your country.
We are tall people, at 6'2", so you can get a good impression of the size of this motorcycle from a taller riders perspective.

I am currently browsing the internet to know more about this bike and there you go my most preferred channel uploaded about it. I'm 6'2 and there is no one else who does these type of videos better!
Thank you very much, if you have any questions just let us know 👍🏼
Literally same, I was planning on getting this as my first motorcycle after passing my exam
You think that for 6'4 this would be a bit small? :/
Me too
Will it come to India??
Honda, please make us a GB500 S 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
If they made a gb 900 or 1000 for the US market I might have to trade in my triumph street twin for one.
Rumours a 500 is in the works, a single is unlikely probably twin.
I've been riding the Honda GB350 / CB350RS for the past two years, and it has never broken down. In my opinion, it has a better engine than Royal Enfields and offers a quick, smooth ride.
The exhaust note is delightful, the tank range is good, and the cruising speed is decent.
However, the downsides are the headlight, which isn't very effective, and the suspension, which could have been better. Additionally, the front and rear mudguards aren't great the mud splashes all over the place. They could have been designed more effectively.
You guys want a full review on my channel?😂😉
No
It's surprising to hear as even the Japanese preferred the classic 350 over the Honda. (was a curious cat and searched for a comparison in Japanese. I wasnt expecting many results but it seems like Royal enfields are getting much love in Honda's home market. )
A breath of fresh air from Honda. I was going to buy the CL500 as it’s a Scrambler styled bike but despite having less than half the power the GB350S is a beautiful little bargain bike. It’s looks and single a/c engine alone were enough to make my decision. Best in black of course 😀.
Getting mine for 1st March.
Thanks for the video 👍
Awesome enjoy when it arrives 😉
Lucky Dog!
Looks great! Honda has trademarked GB500 for some markets including the US, I want one!
Mine arrives in March here in Sweden. One of only around 5 that are coming here. I count myself very lucky.
@@svenskdod awesome enjoy when it arrives 👍🏼
Btw In India we have 3 models
Cb350 shown in the video at 5:40
Cb350rs that’s in this video
Cb350 highness is the other one
Hey sir, do you know if they all have the same exhaust note? Or is it different from model to model? Here in Mexico they released the CB350
@@teacherpaco all are different
Cb350 RS exhaust is better @@teacherpaco
@@teacherpaco all three sound a bit different, but the 350s (350RS in india) is the best sounding of them all
Excellent presentation of this fantastically looking lil' bike!
Thanks for your hard work, lads 🙏
Thank you 😊
Idea for future vids: Record the 0-60 times on the bikes you review, just using a GPS phone app. Yes I know it doesn't really matter, but it's still a useful metric which very few reviewers bother to cover. A quick average of 3 runs is better than nothing. Just a thought, love the channel and kudos to filming during this awful 0-5C winter we are having.
I'm really glad that we're getting so many nice modern classic and affordable low displacement bikes out in the market. Just a couple weeks ago, I picked up a 2024 Triumph Speed 400 at a really good price because the dealership still had so many left over (small displacement bikes don't usually sell very well in Canada for a number of reasons). I'm bummed that I'll have to wait probably 2 months for the Alberta winter to let up enough and give me good riding weather, but I'm so excited. All of the bikes like this Honda and the Royal Enfields and the Triumphs are just so damn cool, and I really hope more people get into riding because of these excellent and beautiful options. Cheers fellers
Looks a nice piece of kit. A bit under powered compared to the Triumph speed 400 but it's genuinely a Honda, made in Japan at a great price. I could imagine a Cafe Racer version coming soon.
A trial bike version would be great , like the old XL250 500
There’s a market for anyone who brings out a true retro trailie.
Riding with Warro ( utube channel) has put knobbies on his and it does very well on the dirt and scrubland tracks he frequents! What a great little bike
Hey! Just watched the video. Loved it. Covers every detail of the Honda GB350S. It’s great you compared it to the RE Hunter 350. So much alike. A Tracker/Scrambler motorcycle!
However, at about 05:36 the picture shown is the Honda GB350C, which is the Honda CB350 in the Indian market, not the Honda H’ness CB350. The Honda GB350 is the Honda H’ness CB350 in the Indian market. Hope you got that covered after reading the comments too! 😂
To put it this way,
Classic Segment:
• Honda CB350 (IN) | Honda GB350C (JP)
• RE Classic 350
• RE Bullet 350
Modern Classic Segment:
• Honda H’ness CB350 (IN) | Honda GB350 (JP)
• RE Meteor 350
Tracker/Scrambler Classic Segment:
• Honda CB350RS (IN) | Honda GB350S (JP)
• RE Hunter 350
I believe the Japanese GB naming convention is ever so slightly easier to understand than the Indian CB naming conventions with Honda GB350 being the base model, Honda GB350C is the Classic whilst the Honda GB350S is Sporty.
Honda GB350 (Base)
Honda GB350C (Classic)
Honda GB350S (Sporty)
As for the Indian CB,
Honda H’ness CB350 is the base model
Honda CB350 is the classic
Honda CB350RS is the sporty one
I ride the Honda H’ness CB350 but I sure do feel Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) marketed these bikes pretty badly. Honda Motorcycle Japan (HMJ) has done a really good job in naming the bikes, relatively easy to understand.
We will be doing a battle of the 350's next week so definitely worth checking out. Make sure subscribed to get a reminder 👍🏼
@ already subscribed! The Honda H’ness CB350 riding community based in Singapore is expecting your next video, cheers! :)
@ashyknob 👍🏼
I’ve been to see this bike in the flesh, and your right it’s a great looking Machine, the only thing I found was when I had both legs down on the ground the seat felt a bit sharp on the inside of the top of my legs, but I’m only 29” inside leg, the other thing I’d won’t is a bigger front mudguard, I hate all that muck and mud all over that great looking engine, RE have Extensions on there mudguards and Honda should do the same. Thanks for the review.👍
You could fit a fenda extenda like on the Royal Enfield Hunter 350, which works quite well
Probably my most anticipated review on this channel. Looking forward to that 3-fold comparison video. I would especially like to hear the "soft" differences between them, such as ergonomics, balance, handling, comfort and the like, and not just the hard figures like acceleration, power and top speed!
P.S. that tank has to be my favorite feature, alongside the center stand. The Japanese sure know how to make them both stylish and functional without sacrificing capacity.
Great bike. Great second look. I'm anxious to see the comparison video...
Nice! there is a classic option for the Honda loyalists. This is a positive move compared to all the manufacturers making naked versions of their ugly motors. Seems like Royal Enfield is having a positive influence on modern styles.
Good to see it has a centre stand - the bike takes up less room in the garage when it's not leaned over on a side stand. Nice and light, too. Pity that front mudguard is too short and the seat is a bit high.
I swapped the front mudguard with that of the H'ness CB350. a direct fit.
This motorcycle is going to be a hit (viral)! It is air-cooled and single-cylinder, making it very fuel-efficient. It comes at a great price, and unlike many competitors, it’s not made in China-you’re getting a motorcycle with a trusted name: Honda.
Compared to Royal Enfield (RE), Honda has a big advantage when it comes to parts availability-you won’t have to wait 2-3 months for them to arrive from India.
And the best part? It’s made in Japan.
Excellent review as expected 👏 Best sound again too fellas. You really do take pride in capturing the exhaust sound properly.
I'd love to see one in the deep metallic red, like the CB1100EX I used to have.
So Jason rang? Jason Statham from Shirebrook near where I was born 😊😂
Love to see a Honda making a 650 version of this bike to compete with the BSA Gold Star and Enfield Interseptor. Here's hoping!
Looks somewhat similar in proportion to my Street Twin. I like it!
Triumph street twin set the standard.
Great video guys, hope the Classic one comes too to the UK. Definitely the best looking Honda in a long time ❤
What you’ve got there is the GB350S. S stands for sport. In Australia I have a standard GB350, slightly more relaxed triangle and more chrome. The classic is different again to these two models. All have the same engine.
Brilliant review of an amazing motorcycle very impressive from Honda ,true classic and looking forward to the comparison with the Enfield 350 ,,from Northern Ireland
Next week we will be comparing it with all the Royal Enfield 350's definitely worth a watch 👍🏼
if you changed the headlight and blacked out the exhaust, shocks and a few other bits.. man this bike looks surprisingly good. Great platform to mod from on a budget Id say! Surprisingly great exhaust sound for a stock pipe from Honda!
Nice video as always. Man! That's one bike that the moment I saw the first video of it (by Ride in Japan), I immediately fell in love with it. But then, would I buy one? No! I love its design but it's either too big or too small for my needs, too big to be used as a dirt-friendly fun bike I can load up on my RV (which it isn't even in its stock configuration). And too small as my everyday bike. But I love it! I think it's a fantastic fun bike to ride around town when you don't need to carry anything. Gorgeous! And Honda reliable!
Thanks again for the review, guys!
I am so happy they released this!
Looks great! Pleased to see Honda adding something fresh to the mix. Very polished review, well done sirs.
Thank you 😊
Nice looking bike, things id do is paint the side panels the same as the tank, chrome handle bars exhaust and mudguards. Paint the forks, wheels and engine cases silver. Replacle the headlamp and clock. Then we would be rocking .
Best looking side covers I've ever seen on a motorcycle. Great looking bike. Now I want one. Dang it!
Great review guys. In New Zealand we don't get the S model. We scored a winner with the standard. Full chrome exhaust, proper rear mudguard nice tail light etc, etc. If it was a 500cc thumper I would be all over it!
Ugh, if only we could something so practical and beautiful in the U.S. 😢😢
Absolutely love this. As a fan of the original CB350 and indeed the mid-capacity bikes like SR’s and XS’s you see in Japan, I think this new one looks great.
Tempted to get one just as a little runaround!
I wonder if the introduction of this bike may lead to the reintroduction of something like Honda's GB500. I never rode one of those but they had a great reputation for performance, reliability and excellent economy too.
Nice review big lads.👌🏻
So,last September I was one click away of getting the Hunter.. but a friend of mine told me that maybe, a bike called GB 350s, a Japan made Honda, comes to Europe..
Saw it, ride it, listen to it & stuck with it and now waiting to come 👌🏻🇯🇵
*The only "downside" for me...
the almost no mudguards.. it's gonna be messy,a dirt magnet 🪣💦
Nice one 👍🏼
Gorgeous bike. Nice to see Honda bringing out smaller engine, classically styled, well priced bikes. I love RE, but I think it'll be good for everyone if they are not the only ones covering that part of the market.
I think on the ordinary version of this bike - the GB350 has seating with feet more forward if taller as it seems to be described honed more as a real bike than a starter bike 🏍️👍🏻
Also the GB350 RS for me is lovely too, but not sure if these other versions are available in the UK at the mo, but a real shame and I hope they will be as I’d certainly prefer them, with a complete range of Japanese bikes 🇯🇵
Although maybe the GB500 will be the one in the near future and hopefully a GB500 RS 🤔
But deffo the CB1100 is the one for me at the mo, although sadly that’s no longer available here in the UK new 🇬🇧🫣
I have Indian variant cb350 rs matte grey model it's absolutely a head turner , exhaust note is so soothing to the ears, engine is refined and fuel efficiency is good getting almost 40kmpl on highway , Achieved 135kmph top speed ,the things i dont like - headlight, mirrors ,tall gearing, suspension is stiff, you can feel its little under powdered especially while going in hilly areas with pillion wish they could have given 5hp more
You people are massive! Love the bike. I'm pretty sure it will be part of my collection.
If the exhaust pipe was parallel with the ground, it would have more of a perfectly retro look. Great video as usual 👍
I wanted one of these for many years, but they were available only in India. In the meantime RE Hunter 350 became available. Though I like this Honda very much it came 1 year too late for me, as I already bought the Hunter 350. A wonderful bike the RE, but head to head with this I would have bought the Honda. 🙂
Hunter is way cheaper than Honda in India
I like the looks and uncomplicated idea of this motorcycle! Great review as usual!
Thank you 😊
i love this bike... first time i see it some years ago that it would be introduced in india and from this time on i was in love with it... wished so much it would be available here in Europe and now it is... i ordered mine already before christmas and now i wait wait wait n wait for it.... i love classic bikes and this neo retro bike is a beauty for me... the aircooled longstorke single cylinder makes a beautiful lovely sound, super easy to maintain... it sips not much fuel is very economic, doesn't cost much to insure and to drive.... i love it. The funny thing is in the past i rode powerful supersports and enduros and now i love classic bikes and relaxing soul warming nice riding
@@ramiretz awesome, enjoy when it arrives 😉
Note that when Honda brought this out in India...there was no other thought to this other than benchmarking the old UCE engine from RE...and they really had some naff parts here in India to undercut the Classic significantly...so they were really caught out when RE launched the J-series engine which led them to launch the CB350 that was even cheaper! But Honda does have a large fan following here so the bikes did really well! And RE launched the Hunter to try and get back into the price game here in India!
That's an absolute peach of a motorcycle! A beautifully designed 70s/80s style bike! The exhaust note is lovely as standard! It makes my heart sing to see Honda manufacturing bikes like these again! Great content yet again!
P.S. I've already subscribed, so don't send Jason Statham after me!
Great looking characterful motorcycle, glad you said you’re going to do a comparison video, you read my mind, great video.👍🏻
Yes comparison video of the 350's coming next week, definitely worth a watch. Make sure subscribed to get a reminder 👍🏼
@ been subscribed since the early days always liked your content especially as you both about my height, makes a big difference seeing similar sized riders for comparisons on bike sizes for reference.
The highness is the best looking variant - no surprise as it looks very much like the RE Classic 350!
But, small margins, the RE tear drop tank and the spoked wheels give it the edge. The nacelle and instrument panel are much better too.
(all aesthetic, so purely personal)
I love the video, the only thing that I miss is a test with a passenger. Thanks a lot for the review.
There will be more to come with this bike so I am sure we can cover your request 👍🏼
Thank you for the presentation! Very lovely engine indeed Of course as RE Classic 350 lover, the other version you showed with decent mudgards would be my choice. For this one, Honda could have paid a little more for the speedo/tacho, and I see from here that the exhaust will not age well for shure. But what a great simple bike for the price! Looking forward the comparaison with the Royal Enfields (but the classic has already won 😉🤣).
Next week we put it up against all the Royal Enfield 350s definitely worth a watch. Make sure you are subscribed to get a reminder 👍🏼
Was surprised how big and tall this bike was when I saw it last week. Bought the CL500 instead.
i'm impressed that the bike doesn't make the old man look huge like many other ones
I like the analog speedometer, much more then the digital speedos that other Hondas have.
Gorgeous Bike, I love that Classic version 🤩!
Yes we do also 😊
Wow that 1100 was one beautiful bike and didn’t know it existed 😢 If it was still available here I would have looked seriously into it. A modern bike that looked like a motorbike should instead of the weird Judge Dread offerings nowadays. I watched as the GB350 got some fair slating in Japan which is fair enough but all of a sudden it’s the best thing since sliced bread, Mmmmmmm righto… 😂 Great video as usual!!!!
Very Nice motorcycle, hope Honda make a 500cc or 750cc on this style
It's a very motorcycle looking motorcycle.
Hard to believe they are selling this beaut at only £100 more than a super cub
The Supercub is overpriced
Bought one used , enjoying it ❤in India
Awesome enjoy 😉
Good job I was laying down when you said the price, I was expecting at least £5k, I might pop into the honda dealer for a test ride, sounds amazing
Still waiting to hear if they'll bring it to the US. Nice review though, thanks.
I think it's got a little better styling than the Enfield Hunter, but I would choose the Classic 350 over either one easily.
Cool little bike for getting around cities...great commuter
In Australia we now also get the Honda CB350C classic style bike for £500 more than the standard CB350
They should definitely make a gb750 using the engine from the 750 hornet!
Too modern of an engine for a modern Classic
I wish this was coming to the states, but for some reason we here think anything under 700cc is just too small... I've got a RE Interceptor 650.. such a nice bike. I'll probably end up with one of their 350s as a second bike
Hopefully it will be 🤞🏻
We have a battle of the 350's coming soon so definitely will be worth checking that one out 👍🏼
Look forward to seeing one at squires café bar in Yorkshire 😊
Very nice and informative review. Thank you so much.
Tomorrow I will get one as second bike to ride mostly in the mountain roads of Cyprus. I hope air-cooled engine won't be problem as we have a bit warm climate in Cyprus. I am not interested in it's top speed, this not speed bike anyway. I want to get cb 350 h'ness which is more suitable bike for my age 66. I hope it can cope with the uphill and downhill.
Awesome enjoy it 👍🏼
5:22 you are wrong Darcy, thats not the hness in India; it's called CB350 which launched back in 2023 November. Hness CB350 is GB350 which is the first version of this lineup in India launched in September 2020 after which came CB350RS/GB350S in 2023.
Those who require practicality with a bit of styling; go for gb350/hness, for practicality (bigger tank, mudguard, bigger wheelbase etc) wait for cb350 (classic) and for sporty footpeg position with smaller seat and small mudguard cb350rs/gb350s
I absolutely love the look & sound of this bike but as an only bike I need a bit more power for my dual carriageway commute. I would love them to use the new twin 750 engine in a neo classic with a rear monoshock setup like the CB650R. The current Hornet is not to my liking.
you could remove that evap canister under the fuel injection inlet and it would look even better
It’s available in New Zealand now too.
Just arrived one at home. So what a privilege
to watch this video.
The problem is if Honda bring a GB 500 mono cilinder.
Looking good, great review, thanks. Not keen on the plastic/chrome side panel badge, reminds me of an old CG125 back in the day. It's an interesting alternative to the RE 350s and should sell well, particularly for people who might still have some reservations about Indian build quality. Still sticking with my Hunter though. (Although a Hiness 500 would be tempting!)
I hope they bring the classic to the UK as it's a nice looking bike I'd prefer that over the one you reviewed although I think spoked wheels would finish off the look. With it being a Honda you shouldn't have any issues with any of the oily bits.
@@tichwykes yes we hope they bring the Classic to the UK also 👍🏼
Looks brilliant, The slipper clutch may give it the edge over the hunter…. However I’m not sure about the 19/18 wheel combination. I love the hunters 17’s and the fact it is a smaller bike. There’s a 350 for everyone now
Next we are doing a battle of the 350s definitely worth checking out. Also make sure subscribed to get a reminder 👍🏼
God that bike looks like a speed twin
Been looking forward to the two of you reviewing this bike, it affirms my decision to buy one, it was this or the RE Classic, but I like the 70’s look of this more than the 50/60’s look of the RE`s. Plus I think the quality will be better and I love the Big Red badge, also made in Japan….
Awesome, you definitely won't be disappointed 👍🏼
What a fantastic-looking AND sounding bike.
I’d love one!
It really is 👍🏼
Quelle est belle cette petite Honda ❤
Best channel to learn english not just motorcycles
Great to hear 👍🏼
I’ve got to admit, it does look lovely. The majority of my riding is on rural roads, like in most of your vids. I currently have a ER6f, but I’m tempted to get a smaller displacement bike I can enjoy the lanes on with lower revs. If you really had to plum for an ideal allrounder for commutes, fun and mostly rural Moorland Peak District riding, where would you put your money?
If its a choice between 350s check out our video next week of the battle of 350s 👍🏼
Great video! I subscribed because of Jasons phone call...
Thanks! Jason is very pleased
Thanks, Royal Enfield! We definitely wouldn't have had this model without the Indian market. By the way, have you checked out the GB500TT at Chris Hall Motorcycles yet? I sent you the details on 16 January. It would be interesting if you could ride one of those and compare it to the modern retros.
Me too…. I’ve had a classic 350 which was great fun and i really enjoyed it… but now i need something in the same vain but more suited to longer, faster (not necessarily… but something that doesn’t slow down on even the slightest inclines… a GB 500 might just be the ticket
Such a nice bike. Love it.
I love the bike. I wish the valve service intervals were longer than every 4,000 miles though. Does the tank need to come off to do the valve service or can it be done with the tank in place?
That sounds bloomin lovely. Be good if they do a 500cc version.
The Indian made H'ness is a version of the CB350, Arnolds of Leicester have one in stock that they bought off Triumph UK that imported the bike for research purposes when planning their 400cc bikes ( includes a Saree guard on the back wheel. )
The GB350c is not the H'ness.
Hey Oscar, I recently bought a CB 350 Highness, made in India ...including the saree guard. I live in Taiwan and a local dealership imported it specially for me. Only 3,000 pounds ( in local money of course! ) I love riding it and it turns heads all the time!
The old Big H is currently on a big roll. Almost makes me think about trading in one of my Guzzis! Well……maybe not. But a nice little bike.
Thank you gentlemen.
Can you tell us the maintenance schedule in your reviews, oil change and valve adjustment frequency. Many shift foot levers can be rotated on the spindle, did you notice if that is possible on the Honda?
I thought the phone book gambit for subscribers was well done. Thanks for the video.
beautiful bike, love it!
Very nice looking bike that, proportions are good.
The segment of asking viewers to subscribe is slowly becoming my favourite part of the videos now. BTW, was that Jason Statham?
Yes it was in deed, ha ha 🤣
@@MrDarcy-OlMan oh yeah, the ol'man mentioned it at the end. I typed the comment right after Jason called you. Hahaha. Jason probably is still on a yacht, on a lake, thinking it is a sea (punt on the Spy movie)
The CB 360 from 1974 produced 34 BHP and i feel if Honda could of brought the BHP up to about 30 on this bike it would see sales skyrocket. It should still do well though.
Torque is lower down on this

Wow. I haven't been this starstruck about a bike in a long time!! I've got my 125 and looking to pass my Full License this year. £4k new for a bike of this caliber is incredible. Great MPG, looks beautiful, can handle itself to get away at junctions, practical with it's dual stands and helmet strap. I mean c'mon, what more could I ask for in a starter bike?! I was seriously considering a Triumph Speed 400 but for a grand less, this bike might have won me over! More reason to get the Mod 1 & 2 out the way in 2025!

very nice indeed, we don't get the S version in aus.😊
Highness and CB350 (GB350C) are different versions. Highness is more similar to their older UJM bikes. They have designed that bike based on CB1100RS. Whereas CB350 is more similar to Classic 350. So there are 3 models that are being sold in Japan and India. There is a special chrome version too for highness which looks pretty good in my opinion.
