It's either the 114 Heritage or the 114 King Special. I keep going back, and forth. I don't like the black only saddles on the Heritage, but it is lighter, and the steering bar is better. The look of the Special is what draws me, has tubeless tires, and it's a bit smoother on the longer rides. I'll make up my mind in a bit. Thanks for a solid video

The 2020 is a burnt orange/silver flux 114. The paint is cool but I really don’t care for the blacked out look at all. The 114 I can take it or leave it. It does have more than enough power for riding solo for sure but the off idle drive ability isn’t so great. It was way worse when it was new. Took about 5K miles to break in and it did start to run much smoother but it still a little rough right off idle. Seems like it has a pretty aggressive cam in it. I probably should have bought a chromed out 107. I do like the two tone on your test bike. Once it warms up a little I may go take a test ride on a 107 Heritage and a 107 Road King just to see how they compare to each other. I was hoping that the 2020 would be the bike that I could do some road trips on but it honestly doesn’t even come close to my 2010 for long distance comfort. I know Heritage offers alot im looking for but the styling is just not really my style and if I don't love the look, it's a no go. I want the Sport Glide so bad.
I’m only 5’11 so hard for me to say! Haha. I’d go with a seat that lets you sit back a little more. You may want to slightly roll the bars forward if your arms are also long. Definitely add highway pegs so you can stretch out on longer rides. If you have a motorcycle license, your local dealership should let you ride one. I’d also ride a Road King if you like the Heritage it has similar styling but more room.
Is It a downside that the tyres need inner tube? I want todo long trips AND I really love how the fatboy looks AND also the fatboy Is tubeless, whats better?
I'm looking to getting a Heritage in the next few months. I'm a total newbie to bikes. So need some help on whether this is the right bike for a beginner. I want to enjoy long rides.. You mentioned that the Road king maybe better for longer rides. Would it make a difference for a beginner like me? Any thoughts, advise, recommendation would be greatly appreciated.. haven't been this excited for a long time...
I just got off a 160 mile ride on my 2021 identical to the one in the video. I will disagree on one thing, the seat is terrible. I had a softball Deluxe and got rid of it almost immediately for another Road King. In the Carolina mountains, the Road King is just too much to get around on.
The fact that the Heritage, perhaps the best looking motorcycle ever made, is considered by younger people to be an old man’s bike shows the utter failure of Harley Davidson’s marketing for the past several decades, and explains why they won’t be around much longer. HD will die along with us old guys.
I just went to look at one of these, today, and though I love the floorboards, do you think they would impede your lean on curves at all? That's what went through my head. Also, do you think a softail standard, with added windshield/bags and floorboards would be the same bike? Thank you.
@@magnuspym No, no they don't. I've put over 100,000 miles on my 05" Heritage and have dragged the floorboards probably less than 10 times in all those miles. Most were on sharp inclines/declines on ramps leading on or off a 4 lane highway.
I had a cherry heritage 1450 in 2000. I broke the rules and let it go instead of getting a divorce. I now have brain damage from self punishment over that decision. Better dead than ped.
Harley still sporting that fake gas cap in lieu of any other better ideas.. In other videos, when people are following while filming, I noticed the saddle bags on this model have a vibration type shake, which looks cheap.. personally I dis like the chrome and spoke wheels.. its a night mare a comin when it comes to chrome flaking off and rust pitting too.
Maybe if the HD dealerships would quit screwing people over on dealership fees and market adjustments hiking up the out the door pricing $1k-$10k…. Monies that shouldn’t leave our wallets…. I’d buy one, only if they quit this bullshit. I love my softail and would love to buy another, but most of these dealerships(not all)are thieves.

Matt Laidlaw (H-D dealer) said 6'1" you might want to start considering Road King for longer rides.
I like the Go Pro position.
Is It a downside that the tyres need inner tube? I want todo long trips AND I really love how the fatboy looks AND also the fatboy Is tubeless, whats better?
What is the button over the horn for?
That cycles through to digital options on the gauges. Trip A, Trip B, Rpm, Gear selection, Miles till empty etc..
PS Harley, please make a HD badged replacement for the ugly Allen bolt on the console....please!
There's no rumble, don't get me wrong, it's a beautiful bike, but it's to quiet, I might just be used to my 2011 electra glide, 103
Oh for sure. They sound like a sewing machine with the stock exhaust. Haha
With cruise on the softail now, hard lock bags and the counter balanced motor, go softail !
Is this good for a 5'3" person? XD I've been saving up for a bike for a while now and I'm trying to find a bike somewhat fit my shortness.
I just got off a 160 mile ride on my 2021 identical to the one in the video. I will disagree on one thing, the seat is terrible. I had a softball Deluxe and got rid of it almost immediately for another Road King. In the Carolina mountains, the Road King is just too much to get around on.
great review.......how do u not have white walls on the softail? wtf.......
Great question. Almost gotta do it, huh?
LED turn signals are not permitted in all municipalities. Harley has to make bikes that will fit all laws everywhere.
The fact that the Heritage, perhaps the best looking motorcycle ever made, is considered by younger people to be an old man’s bike shows the utter failure of Harley Davidson’s marketing for the past several decades, and explains why they won’t be around much longer. HD will die along with us old guys.
It’s a big bike ,it needs twin disc brakes on the front like the Lowrider . I prefer Z bars and blacked out motor.
I’m right there with you man. 👌🏼
What type of gas to used on a 103 or 107 Harley? Regular mid grade or premium
Always premium.
@@throttleblip9854 thank you. Great review 👍
Stage 2 rineharts k&n snorkel
I just went to look at one of these, today, and though I love the floorboards, do you think they would impede your lean on curves at all? That's what went through my head. Also, do you think a softail standard, with added windshield/bags and floorboards would be the same bike? Thank you.
Not exactly..different front end, full fenders, different shock, auxiliary lights, bigger gas tank, two up ready
Yes: All Harleys drag their floor boards with the slightest hint of a lean. (compared to any other brand)
@@magnuspym No, no they don't. I've put over 100,000 miles on my 05" Heritage and have dragged the floorboards probably less than 10 times in all those miles. Most were on sharp inclines/declines on ramps leading on or off a 4 lane highway.
Set of cams? M8 only has one cam......your gonna have one extra
I heard somebody else say that the other day. “Set of cams...” I thought, “You do know there’s only one in here, right?”
2021 no LED TURNLIGHT,WHY??
I have no idea but they missed the mark on that one.
@Jxn Ahaa front light LED = NO CLASSIC,
Rear light No LED = CLASSIC,mix style??
Beautiful
My God thats beautiful
HD will never do fully LED lighting until all 20K incandescent bulbs in the HD build factory is out of stock.
Very nice...
I had a cherry heritage 1450 in 2000. I broke the rules and let it go instead of getting a divorce. I now have brain damage from self punishment over that decision. Better dead than ped.

7 inches smaller?
?
Looks like u don't understand counter steering?
Harley still sporting that fake gas cap in lieu of any other better ideas.. In other videos, when people are following while filming, I noticed the saddle bags on this model have a vibration type shake, which looks cheap.. personally I dis like the chrome and spoke wheels.. its a night mare a comin when it comes to chrome flaking off and rust pitting too.
Wow the bike is super silent!!!
the oval badges look stupid
plenty of other videos for weirdos who want to stare at asphalt ;)
HAHAHAHA YES!!!
He said floorboards 200 times
178. Don't exaggerate.
Maybe if the HD dealerships would quit screwing people over on dealership fees and market adjustments hiking up the out the door pricing $1k-$10k…. Monies that shouldn’t leave our wallets…. I’d buy one, only if they quit this bullshit. I love my softail and would love to buy another, but most of these dealerships(not all)are thieves.
this is why harley is in the shitter
Because of me or the Heritage? 🤣
@@throttleblip9854 no not you, I love HD but they are always putting bedazzles on their bike not new Technology.. that’s why their company doesn’t sell bikes as much., That’s why I said that I was on the shitter
The bike needs a ladie drive the drive then to.
Riding a Honda is like dating a fat girl it’s fun but don’t let your friends see
