  • Well who would have thought photoshop editor is more difficult than making a video! Here you have it folks: the worlds worst thumbnail picture to advertise this video.
This is a recap of my first summer in the bush. I cut through all the nitty gritty of the year and show a sped up version of building something fun and quick.
Back up to the property soon. Many more videos to come !

What a great build, dang, that front wall was a beast to lift and you got there!!! You’ve got everything you need and it looks damn nice, the stairs are pretty sweet. Thanks so much, very much enjoyed every second!!!

Nice job on the stairs ! My Dad came from a family of carpenters and his specialty was oak spiral stairs, before the days of power miter boxes. I like how you swing the hammer, one of the first things my Dad taught me was, it's all in the wrist !

Nice job! Looking forward to your weekly postings. I do watch a lot of TH-cam people/stations such as yourself. I don’t even watch regular TV anymore. There is so much junk on reg tv to be honest with you. my point is you’re a good guy to watch, you do a good job with your postings and your content is just great. I know you’re just sort of starting out, but I think you could be really well at the whole TH-cam thing.

I really enjoyed the recap. Great job on splicing the videos together. You showed all the key elements of the build. I really like the simple design single slop roof is always easier to build and keep water tight. Also the porch roof design looks great and is very practical.
Looking forward to seeing more of your videos.

Have you plan on how to source water / power in your "cabin"? otherwise, you're just inside a dark box at night with no bathroom or kitchen. Souces of water: could pipe from the lake or build a device to collect rain water. Re: power, could use solar or wind to convert to electric, both are free. Third option, hydro is another option for power. Re: rain water collection, you just need water filters and uv lights to clean the water. Hope it helps.

I have a simple water filter system that I'm getting in a few weeks. Straight from the river. Battery operated

You make it seem so easy. Great work! Promise me you'll take necessary steps to better position your stove, including backdrop either using rocks or metal -- my first husband was a fireplace installer -- yeah, I learned how to install those puppies in my early 20s, pretty syre regs are still the same. Fire safety first :)
