I have had AEG gear for about 6 to 8 years now ,and never had any trouble with the tools .Went through a few batteries just consumables . With the drill I was boring
Rosewood and Budgeroo posts and that is pretty hard wood . Also have a rattle gun , angle grinder , screw gun , and the drill . Boring the posts I used auger bits in
size from 14mm to 22 mm .I used to do 40 plus posts x 4 holes to a battery . Put on new battery and same again . Just the ducks nuts .

The sound might be actually the chuck spinning and abruptly closing, making a "clap" when the brake stops the rotation

Yeah it’s not too bad, it’s definitely not precision but works good for what I use the drill for, I haven’t measured it but I would say it’s very similar to my Milwaukee unit

@@billprowse305 I just bought one from Bunnings unfortunately 2020 manufacturing date as well hopefully the batteries hold up. I guess trades get their kits delivered so get fresh stock. Mine has a rohm chuck and runout not too bad. Better than my old aeg wit worn spindle.

It’s funny you say that about the battery, I got the impact as well and if I leave the battery connected to the impact it will totally flatten it, the 6.0 doesn’t last very long, I am going to buy some be of the 9.0 ones
