  • The new AEG FUSION hammer drill is a FORCE to be reckoned with! 140 Nm of torque is their claim, and oztooltalk is going to see if it lives up to the hype.
    This drill definitely benefits from being paired with the new AEG FORCE battery.

    I bought one of these today and it's easy to use straight out of the box. I have it for around the farm and the battery last and lasts. It's great for we none-blokes so girls if you need a drill that works when you are ready, this is the one, for sure. It's sturdy and well balanced.

    I purchased AEG's Six Tool Fusion Brushless Combo a while back. The drill came with a Belt clip, Side-Handle & Double Ended Driver Bit. The moment I picked it up I knew that this drill was a beast. The power is awesome and handles everything I throw at it with the 6 amp batteries (including a 60cm Powerplanter Earth Auger and Concrete Vibrator Attachment) I can't wait to try a new 9 amp battery with this bad boy. And yes...when changing bits the chuck can certainly inflict some damage if you're not careful. Great review guys.

    I have mine for 4 months now. Power and price is good. I broke 2 of then the first 2days, not kidding. I drilled 2 holes of 4mm in steel and it broke! Back to bunnings and they gave me a new one. The day after same thing after 2 holes it broke down. Back to bunnings and I was on my 3th one. I've been using it every work day and it works fine, the chuck should have been of better quality because mine if getting bad only after 4 months. The new hammer drill and sabre saw that came in the set are tough and work hard as! So far happy with the tools of AEG. Only tool that was a joke that came In the set is the vacuum cleaner

      @@OZToolTalk before Aeg I had metabo and that gear is overpriced and I had quite a few problems with that as well and it took ages for them to repair metabo gear. I bought another brushless drill last Friday with a 6ah fusion battery and charger for 200 nzd not the fusion drill but powerful enough. Aeg is handy because every bunnings sells them. I can advice the battery operated light it works on 240v aswel and the light is enough to work in those dark places with no power.

    Have you gotten your hands on the newest Gen2 one yet? I noticed in your big test will all the drivers you were still using this one.
    The newest one is model A18FPD0, has an all metal gearbox, chuck, and next gen brushless. Think that would be a much better contender against flexvolt and newer makita LXT or whatever it was.
    I just purchased all the new gen2 stuff but haven’t tested and would love to see what you guys find 😊

A side note, the led on the 795 manages to dazzle me from the side while trying to drill things, I’ve stuck some black tape over it, fixed! Keep up the great vids guys, thanks!

      @demsweden 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      More power, more strain on the cells. I'm pretty confident that it's the cells overheating, not the tool itself. Put on a battery pack that got 27000 cells and you can take out a lot bigger draw (A) without the machine cutting off.

    • @colinantink9094
      @colinantink9094 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Mattias Persson I thought of that. I use the 5ah battery packs rather then the 2ah ones that came with it. And I’m pretty sure the drill getting hot and not the battery pack is defiantly the tool overheating. It’s by the motor vent. Nowhere in the handle or near the battery. On a side note. Even when doing things like masonry or steel drilling with this thing really pushing it as hard as it can. The battery doesent warm up.

    • @demsweden
      @demsweden 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Do you use it as a mixer in second gear? Otherwise it´s almost not possible to overheat a drill.

    Update on my Aeg drill. The chuck is after 4 months gone and I had contact with aeg about this. A chuck is considered a consumables and has a 3 month warranty on it. I went to bunnings and ofcource this is not available and they just called me back. They are out of stock and it takes weeks not months before they have new chucks ( the supplier is out of stock and they adviced me to try again in a couple of weeks), single price is 85$. They can stack up hundreds of drills at your local bunnings but a consumable is very difficult. I thought this might happen and I bought another drill last Friday because they where on sale. Just keep in mind they claim the best warranty in the business but it's not the case when you really depend on your equipment.

    • @OZToolTalk
      @OZToolTalk  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      henkvermalen Yeah that’s really disappointing. Unfortunately chucks are a warranty annoyance across ALL brands when people try to claim warranty. Having run a tool shop for 9 years I really struggled to keep the right spares and was often in trouble with the owner of buisness for keeping parts like this :/
      It’s a hard balance.
      Hope you get it sorted ASAP.
