  • Joe Musgrove brushed off chants of " Cheater!" after a bizarre spot check by umpires on the mound, pitching his hometown San Diego Padres into the next round of the playoffs Sunday night with seven innings of one-hit ball in a 6-0 victory over the New York Mets.

On the Radio Howie Rose said the Mets were watching football all day to get their mind off today's game, while the Padres were taking batting practice, when the game started the Mutts were still thinking of football than baseball.

If Musgrove wasn't so handsome, the Umpire wouldn't want to touch his face so much! 😂 WTF???? Go METS! We'll be back, eventually! Lol! The Padres should stick with those threads, though! Those are badass!!!!

On a positive note the umpire told Musgrove he had some wax build up in his ears.

He didn't get caught but he was definitely using something foreign to get that much spin on the ball

How could he have possibly been "using something foreign?" There were 6 umpires all standing within a few feet of him. He was searched thoroughly, and they found absolutely no evidence of cheating... the Mets were probably the ones cheating. Because this year alone, 2 of the Mets pitchers have actually been ejected for cheating.
