The US was supposed to have gotten the Peugeot 605 and the Citroen XM in 1992. Peugeot pulling out of the United States prevented that. It's such a shame. The XM wagon that appeared later would have been great for upscale American families. I certainly would love to have one. You can import one now from Europe thanks to the 25-year import rule.
French cars are probably the last thing that comes to mind when you think about American traffic 😅 Either way, me, personally, I don't think these cars would fit in well, especially the XM's, with their demanding electronics and suspension, finding parts for one in the US must be so difficult😱
I own a type 1 XM V6, no other car can give this much comfort. The seats are comfier than your couch at home.
