The second gen Lexus GS 300 was my favorite. Back in 2014, I bought a silver 2005 one from a independent car dealership with the 2JZ GTE engine. It had 232,000 miles and it still drove smooth like a new car. Only problem was a busted radiator and that was all. Now I drive a 2006 Acura TL and it got 205,000 miles that I bought used 3 years ago started at 141,000 miles in 2021 and it to drive smooth. Toyota/Lexus and Honda/ Acura are the best new and used car to buy. Like Nissan (before CVTs)/ Infiniti were good cars too.
I love mine. I have a final model year second gen V8. 2005 GS430, black on black, with wood grain steering wheel, heated seats, navigation, mark levinson audio, xenon auto leveling headlights, 6 disk CD changer. 1 of 422 V8 GSs produced in 2005. It’s such a gem of a car and it feels very special to drive. My buddy also has a 1996 GS300 rare first gen. Car drives immaculately perfect. The ES is a great car as well though, I have a 2005 ES330 with 352,000 miles. Wonderful car as well. Even more options than the GS.
@@RedLine_Car_ShowThe 2nd is better quality, it has that godlike 90s Toyota quality. The engines are way better and everything is more solid and lighter at the same time. The UR V8 is a mere shadow of the UZ and the GR V6s can't be beaten in their mediocrity while the 2JZ is utter perfection, from it's perfectly balanced inline-6 layout to the unparalleled strength and reliability, this is PEAK automotive.

This Lexus GS represents the greatest of Toyota, 2JZ, 1UZ, 3UZ, so, so beautiful. Toyota Aristo, 2JZ-GTE....

Love the GS300, it's one of my dream cars
The 2006.5/2007 is by far my favorite model! I wish could find a good condition 400h. Great video!
Oh yeah, the third gen GS seem great too, although I'd prefer the 2nd one, either way, great cars, thanks for the comment!
400h? There is no 400h GS.

Well done!
Thank you!
The second it didn't make enough for Toyota they killed it, all because Lexus buyers buy the most boring FWD sedan and crossovers.
Not all FWD sedan were boring.
Lexus buyers have never really cared about sportiness. Maybe I’m wrong.
@@gedaman It's a shame because it doomed Lexus to be boring.
@@imnotusingmyrealname4566 The most successful Lexus vehicles have always been comfort focused.
GS430 made 300hp not 284
I miss my 2gs4. Pretty much every mod you could throw at it and absolutely bulletproof!🫡
Not gonna lie, making this video made me kinda want to get a gen2 GS, they seem like awesome cars!
@@RedLine_Car_Show absolutely are. Only weakness is suspension and high mileage automatic transmissions.
@@MrMpm3001 I'l keep that in mind if I'l be on the lookout for one, thanks a lot!
Why did you get rid of it?
@@imnotusingmyrealname4566 fuel economy was poor and at the time gas was 5 dollars a gallon for premium. Performance vs mpg was no longer worth it.
