      Same. It's like my doctor assumed I already know everything. He even told me to walk on 50% weight after 4 weeks. Lol.

      Lol. Me too. I’m 71. Very athletic. Yesterday I started as well. I feel totally uncoordinated unsure sure. It will come to me. though. I hope. Lol

      Damn, how painful is that?? I didn't break a bone but I tore several ligaments a few days ago and that alone made me wanna cry lol.
      I got a brace on my ankle now which is very sturdy and keeps me from falling over completely at least.

    • @KenEssi-
      @KenEssi- 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@shyryTsr2k well it was kinda painful but i was trying to breathe calmly and waited for my dad to arrive at my school and i didnt cry or anything it was painful but i just tried to keep myself calm and everything went well at surgery and stuff.
      It was the bone right under the kneecap it got ripped off cause the thing that connects the kneecap and the thing i broke right under it was too strong cuz im still growing and im 190cm. It also makes it kinda common for tall people that grow quickly that stuff like that happens. But now its been almost 3 months and ive learned how to walk again. Still dont have much muscle on my right leg tho 😅
      ( hope i explained it well i dont rly know how to explain it like a doctor)

    I can do it. But inside my apartment I felt 4vtimes in one day. Really bad. And it's hard to stand up because your keg is so heavy😢😢😢😢 I am desperate. I drink just sips of water so I don't have to move a lot. I sleep only on the couch-recliner. Friends are visiting, but can't stay forever..... all my body hurts now, not only the leg. I hit myself horribly in several parts.

    Great video. Although, it wold be helpful explaining when the patient needs to bear weight through their hands in order to move their uninvolved leg.

    Is/Are there tool(s) you use to assess adaptability of patients to using crutches?
    When do you objectively say the patient is fit for discharge on non weight bearing BAC?

    I am non weight bearing on my right leg due to major ankle surgery. My left knee is bone on bone and I was supposed to get eval for knee surgery, but I tore a tendon in my right ankle. Even with 2 legs, my balance was not good. Now, with my right non weight bearing all the pressure is on my bad knee. Not only does it hurt like hell but I have zero balance. Any suggestions? I use a knee scooter 90% of the time but I do need crutches at some points.....like getting down my stairs and to my car

      @@OrthoEvalPal , Thank you!! My wife had meniscus tear off the bone and has to stay off the leg for 6 to 8 weeks. She is terrified to use crutches and will only use the walker. She agreed to let me start helping her so this video will help her get started with adjusting them. Thanks again! I really appreciate it..

    Wow! Really suprised to see underarm crutches still being used in the USA. The rest of the world has moved onto forearm crutches based on peer-reviewed literature many years ago.

      Don't show off your lack of intelligence for the world to see, it's embarrassing to yourself. Different types of crutches have different uses. Seems like your brainbox has simply frozen, and "not moved on".

      Try to thicken up the hand grips. Wrap a few wash clothes around the handle and tape it there.
