Greatest shooting exhibition I've ever seen. 60 points ON THE ROAD. The road crowd was cheering him, the Hawks were cheering him. Some of the greatest shots in history. A sight to behold. LEGEND!!!! 🏀
This was the greatest time for basketball in my opinion bird Johnson, the bad boys, the knickerbockers with Patrick Ewing Atlanta with Dominic. Can you imagine any of those guys playing today? They destroy the league
K MC was another one of those guys I "Loved to hate". The Frankenstein P/F (dudes body parts didn't match) this guy was an absolute MONSTER...truth be told at 5'8" I patterned my game after his
I believe that Atlanta team would be NBA champs in this era. 80s ball was so competitive. Dennis Rodman feels the opposite is true. He is better qualified than I. Of course, Bird never embarrassed me on the court...
Yeah it was the way Larry scored this 60. Off balance, one foot, falling over, snap shots with guys in his face..... I believe that Larry is the best shooter ever when it comes to the full range of shots. At the post, mid-range, outside the arc, any position or angle........ didn't matter. Yes, statistically there are now better 3 point shooters, but people have to remember, the 3 point line was only introduced during his NBA rookie season. He didn't grow up with it
back in those days fouls were really fouls , they would go into the locker , tape up a broken finger or an ankle sprain , , and still come back out and play . not like todays players lol
One of the greatest and funniest games I ever watched. Bird was so hot he could have thrown anything up and it'd drop.
He did and it did.

Bird pain free was magnificent just plain brilliant ❤
In a team of stars, headed by the great Larry Legend, McHale was no joke. Seems like a really likeable guy also.
Have Celtics season tix since 75, I watched Larry's whole career in person, incredible.
Awesome, Eddie! You're a lucky man to have seen him play in person!
@remaguire TY, it was incredible, don't forget the Cowen's Championship and the Pierce Championship also, and hopefully repeat this year.
Damn what a joy

Man could scratch his shins with out bending down.
Too bad there wasn’t a camera on the hawks bench. They were hilarious

Name one current "GOAT' candidate that had the other teams bench in his pocket. I'll wait.

Pistol Pete Maravich's 68 Points vs Knicks on February 25, 1977! This beats Bird's 60 points.
@@ericschiltz412 Pistol played for the Celtics Birds 1st year, love Pistol Pete.
And Wilt Chamberlain 100 points in 1962. What's your point? All 3 were amazing accomplishments.
@@remaguire And it wasn't on tv, a shame.
