"If I had to choose a player to take a shot to save a game I'd choose Michael Jordan. If I had to choose a player to take a shot to save my life...I'd take Larry Bird." - Pat Riley
I grew up watching all these guy’s. Listen to all these legends; the talk trash with no feelings! But with all love and respect! We need this to come back!
The ONLY advantage MJ had over Bird was his ability to jump! Bird was a way better passer, rebounder, and pure shooter!! Plus, he's probably one of the only guys who could say that he never lost to MJ. 💯
I miss the old days of the NBA. These guys were not friendly during the season, and enemies during the playoffs. And I miss the big man post- up. Inside out game.
How can anyone trash talk Larry Legend.. saying he isn't one of the Greatest of all Times. All these amazing players, elite players.. give Larry kudos. The slow, chubby, white dude.. schooled them all.. and yet the all respected him.
I honestly don't believe there is a true G.O.A.T. in the NBA as in the NFL with Tom Brady. There are just too many great players in different eras with different skill sets. However, Larry played in the era of the Superstars and beat em' all. He's the only one who can say that. He was undoubtedly THE most Clutch player in history. King of the 40/50/90 club. If I had to pick a GOAT. MJ or Larry Legend. Pick Em' 🏀
@@jasonknotts5001 With respect, you are incorrect. The name is not pronounced correctly as he himself, does not pronounce it that way. So how is his pronunciation, of his own name, incorrect. If you were a true basketball fan, you would know that.
@nickr6926 I agree -- plus in the video it's spelled "Dominique." Not "Dominic." I think Nique, "human highlight reel" deserves to have his name pronounced properly.
Lots of these video clips are so tightly clipped to the bare minimum along with gapless audio edits, it's getting frustrating that so many other details are left out. Not to mention the various broken auto-translations, such as with Dominic Wilkins' "some business".Quite ridiculous.
If they made an all white guy NBA team most players would be from Europe, but Larry Bird, John Stockton, and Jerry West would be the only 3 US born guys I would consider for it.
Gotta disagree with you. Can't leave Kevin McHale off that roster. Hell even a prime Tom Chambers is better than a lot of the Euro players. How about Rex Chapman or Mark Price. Definitely Mark McHale was the best pure post player in the league for years in the late 80s, no contest. The man of a thousand moves. Man was a freak with a ridiculous wing span😂.
@@LegendMkr7 You wouldn’t put Dan Marley on the all white team? Jokic and Luca of course but I will always love the physicality of American players from the 80’s 90’s
If Larry Bird played in the modern era he would have a 15-20 year career. He only lasted 12 seasons due to back problems from how physical the game was back then.
@@LegendMkr7If I'm not mistaken his back problems started when he was working in his yard doing some manual work he should not have been doing. But Larry being Larry he wasn't gonna pay someone to do something he could do himself.

If I had to choose a player to take the shot then go to the prom with me it would be Caitlin Clark.

Larry Legend Bird was truly one of Basketballs Greatest Players of All Time. Legendary Larry will never be forgotten.
When you can get the highest of accolades, from basketball’s elite players, you must be special 🙏

Larry Bird is the best of all time in many respects.

Would love to see Bird coach Indiana Fever. Can't even imagine the history made.
I think the Legend is too hard nosed to coach the gals . I don't think they'd handle it well .
My uncle went to high school with Larry Bird. He said he was a trash talker then. 😂
Larry Legend
Larry legend baby
GOAT Larry legend

EVERYONE SAYS LARRY WAS A VICIOUS TRASH TALKER BUT I'VE NEVER EVEN SEEN HIM MOVE HIS LIPS IN A GAME , FOR REAL .
And that is what made him so great! LOL!!!!
No other NBA player has more stories from former players/coaches/teammates or is discussed with both hatred and reverence than The Hick.
How can you make basketball videos, as a basketball fan, talking about the past greats, and repeatedly call DomiNEEK, "Dominic". Drives me nuts.
That's how I pronounce it because that's how it's spelled. I pronounce words correctly.

Lebraun. Did you tell everyone about what you were going to do???
Didn't realize there's a white and a black Jesus
Bird made his idol cry and retire... Allegedly... Pistol Pete

Just like anywhere in life, in order to be great you have to have great opponents?

None of any of the guys you mentioned are better than Dirk and I didn't even mention Steve Nash who is Canadian.
Most of this is repeats of 1000 other Bird videos. Nothing really new.
So... he was regular jesus. Lol just a joke. Dont cry

It's a damn shame because his last couple years in the league was just plain misery for him because of the pain and immobility.
