We all know what singer gave this song it’s soul. That version of the song is trapped in my head. I’m going to be forced to come back to watch this video just to hear it again.
...Or it was a teenager who trolled Zack for $5. Also, a tone-deaf man had the gall to charge money in exchange for singing. It's almost like scamming.
I don't think we've given the second vocalist enough credit for his development of the incel leitmotif. His use of a step father and the incessant desire to chill in college is a profoundly human struggle and is truly a universal theme. This really proved to me that he was taking great care to paint a wholistic musical picture of his own, while understanding the existing motivic direction of the track. 5 stars
Why is everyone having a go about the acoustic guitar? It takes a special kind of skill to play completely out of time, whilst varying the tempo, and not once lining up with anyone else, all the way through the track.
@@m4eu Nah. 5 Bucks is pretty much what that is worth. You cannot pay that amount and expect to get a professional level musician for it. The fact that on this page many intermediate to high level musicians do sell themselves short does not change that. I mean, if I took a random kid to play a bit of guitar for me I’d give him more than 5$ for it.
Ooooh man.. I started laughing immediately when I heard the acoustic guitar. Zack’s reaction to it cracked me up (he didn’t even comment on the track)🤣🤣🤣

@@MrJimShorts Not to mention, there seems to be underlying problems with him and his stepdad. I wouldn’t be surprised if there was more to the story than meets the eye.
After seeing what that second bass player did for 5 bucks, I'm questioning why I even record the bass for my home demos myself. Damn. It's humbling to see that stuff.
it might make you feel better... that bassist sells himself for $5, if you can sell yourself for $7 you are worth more and therefor are a better bassist than he is. a musician is only worth what they can make, and that bassist is only worth a 5 spot, a pathetic pittance anyone should be ashamed to have actually tried for.

If we’re being totally honest, that’s a lot of us in the comments! lmao. Makes it that much clearer how excellent the good musicians in this video actually are
tbh imo, recording vocals is the most challenging part of song production. even awesome professional singers get work done in the studio; engineered eq's, effects, back up tracks, harmony tracks, back up harmony tracks, pitch fixing. etc.

Honestly, the 2nd singer was my favorite, unironically. Sure, he wasn't really singing in tune, and the lyrics were silly, but his singing actually felt connected to what the instruments were doing. It sounded most "complete" and had the clearest structure. The other singing parts felt a bit like unfinished ideas. With a slightly better performance, the 2nd singing part would work really well (with those lyrics, it can't be too perfect, though). The problem with the other singing parts was that they didn't feel prominent enough to be the main part of the song, and I was focusing a lot more on the instruments. The 2nd singer on the other hand made the his part sound like the "main focus" of the song.
This is the best Fiverr video I’ve seen. I knew the vocals were probably gonna suck or be mediocre, but the bassist and guitarist killed it. Especially that bassist. That guy could charge a lot more than what he’s asking.
I think the first vocalist did it the best tbh. The style of vocals added a real nice texture and they didn't try to sing any fast rhythms like what the bass and guitar were doing. They sung these long notes over top of that groovy rhythm and I felt like that served it very well
Both comedic and enlightening at the same time, lol. I did not know until now that you could perform "decent" music production on fiverr. Gonna try this.
