Wow! I’m truly humbled to see my song featured here! Thanks for playing some amazing guitar licks for my track, “Let Me In”, Samurai! But, Jesus, the auto-tune I threw on that tracking demo is horrendous! 😂 EDIT: For those of you asking, the final track is available here! 😊 🎶 m.th-cam.com/video/o_ccn7Zru9A/w-d-xo.html
Really digging your work after being pushed in the direction of this comment. I too was initially turned of by the autotune, but I'm admittedly quite hostile towards that style in general. You sound so much better without it man. All the best to you.
Watery would be relatively loose and with not echo-y, but kind of strumming with some good natural reverb. Dry on the other hand would be more cut, and less space between progressions, whether it be by muting or by simply starting another chord or note. As you can probably tell by now, it is pretty difficult to describe musical lingo, its more of a feeling
This didn't work because you did not mention you having a bachelor's degree in performing the LICC. With this you would have been rolling in the big bucks.
I'm pretty sure it was designed for other musicians to reference... the auto tune was also him doing a female part as well as two other tracks he may have been prepared to hire singers as well
Nice! But, I hired a guy to make a fake TH-cam account to make a video about someone hiring someone else to play for HIS Fiverr account. So.......CHECKMATE!
*Bourgeois Davie504:* Spends thousands of dollars for fun trolling musicians on fiverr *Proletariat Sammy G:* Actually sets up an account on Fiverr to make some hard earned honest cash, gets in debt trying
the reason this is so great is not the results, but that you showed the process, finished it when it was finished (not rushed) and created a unique video
At least they told you the key of the song! I used to offer professional harmonica playing on Fiverr and everyone always wanted waaaaaaaaay more harp than was necessary and THEY NEVER SUPPLIED THE KEY. Granted it isn't tough to figure out, but that's one of many reasons I didn't enjoy working on Fiverr.
You dropped the ball on the slogan. Should have been: "You're never outta luck, when you hire Doug". You can use that slogan, free of charge. Now that's a GREAT DEAL!!!
Thanks for this return of experience. Same problem occurs on photographers platforms. Too much people and it requires a lot of effort and networking to be visible. You're lucky, a lot of this platforms does not allow to get the money until there is at least 50$ (or €). From the consumer's perspective it looks handy.
These are a blessed series of social experiments. Please continue them at all costs, even if the moral at the end is that we are all Doug the Guitarist failing in our $0/day ways. :x
That first guy had waaaayyy too much auto tune tbh. Sometimes when you use a lot it sounds good just as itself and not for pitch correction. But that was just awful.
samuraiguitarist at first I could not stand your robotic music theory personality. Then you put up a very powerful video that hit me in the heart. You demoed an amp that your Dad made for you and I had just lost my Dad. You gave credit to your parents and other people that helped you to become the person and musician that you are today. So I don't like pop country but I do love some of the old stuff and acts like Chris Stapleton. So I know you can play anything but when you pick up a guitar by yourself no videos or people in the room what is your go to style that makes you happy? Love your your videos.
Looks like your hair got a different gig everyday!! Lol! Great video. Funny I just got off Fiverr and then saw this video. I'm a musician myself. That Doug the guitarist ad was bad ass!!!
You’re one of the most genuine dudes out there as soon as I get a bank card I can use online (I live in Tokyo and it’s harder than you might think...) I’m gonna get a tee. if ever you’re round these parts hit up a place called “Jazz Intro” best jazz jam bar in Tokyo
Great video! Just a few comments... -Damn! I thought about trying fiverr to sell some keys/synth, but if YOU couldn't even get business, then I'm like....."Foget it!" -The timing on "What up? I'm Doug the guitarist" was spot on. I thought you were actually gonna rap the advertisement. -@ 5:40 I was thinking of Davie504..."The fact that I'm wearing a different T-shirt (and my hair is down) is undeniable proof that a week has passed." -Wow! Its called the 80/20 rule. It's literally the case for everything. 1% of the population has 99% of the wealth. 20% of the course work comes as 80% of the paper.
We'll do you one up. Solo over any of our tunes and we will give you $10. Edit: we got to the part where you raised it to $25. We will give you $26 to solo over two of our songs and $10 to do the first job since we've already established things here. Okay good. Deal.
Man. I would pay $50 easy to have you play guitar over my tracks. Is that a thing? Do you actually do remote sessions? Really enjoyed the dead pan humour of your vid.
I'm gonna need the guitar to sound reversed, spun and thirsty. Other than that, just play whatever. All professionals struggle to communicate with clients XD
Well, Fiverr may not be a perfect place for selling your work. But it has a lot of potential if you set things up correctly. Some things that can improve the performance of your gig: 1. Don't try to hide behind some "creative" usernames. Just be yourself, let the customers know who you are and they will trust you more for sure. 2. Record a video where you will describe everything needed about your gig and make a preview with your photo (that will help you get more clicks since not that much people are showing themselves so at least customers will be curious to see who you are) 3. Write proper gig description that will contain all needed information about who you are, what you do, what you offer, what will be the end result and what you need to start working. Plus, you can use this description as a guide to create a script for the video. 4. Make sure to name your gig properly to match the search requests. (this one is VERY important) Besides, your gig will be displayed higher in the search results if: 1. You just got/created/completed the offer and got a feedback (if you've failed to deliver you gig may end up a bit lower) 2. You have no cancelled orders and you have more than 90% positive feedbacks. 3. You respond in a couple of hours after a first message from your clients. All these things are just my own experience and if someone needs my help - feel free to contact. I will be happy to help ;)
