The problem is that there are other schools watching this intently. The ACC has to know that if FSU can get them to the negotiating table on pro-FSU terms, blood will have been drawn, and the SEC and B1G sharks will smell it.

Two different points both against the ACC: 1: If they violated their bi-laws and did not take a vote in a “Rush To The Courthouse” the case will be heard in Florida. 2: If this case goes to trial and the claim Swofford lied is proven, that is a “Game, Set and Match” for Florida State. If I am the ACC, I am trying to figure out a way to settle and get FSU out by August so they can join another Conference ( probably the Big 10) for the 2025-2026 academic year. Otherwise the longer this goes on, the more likely a PAC type implosion actually happens.

If Swofford didn't identify the Conflict of interest w/ Raycom and get a COI determination from Counsel (w/Guidelines and Monitoring) prior to conducting negotiations, it may be long day in court for the ACC and more importantly Swofford himself.

I think I will get some players on board to file a lawsuit for damages against the CFP and the ACC for lowering their NIL and changes to their draft stock. Each kid worked hard to show excellent outcomes. Its not over yet.

Why doesn't the ACC let go after all this latest news. The teams that want out are going to get out one way or another. Have them pay a 50 to 100 million dollar exit fee, let them go so they, the ACC and college football can see the path forward. It's a win for everyone!

Who is acting on behalf of the ACC, making decisions on strategy and litigation, if not the member schools? Does the ACC have a separate and unaccountable group of bureaucrats taking these actions without the member schools being consulted and involved? Maybe the interests of some other institutions align with that of FSU and not the position taken by the conference.

Amazing the basketball conference of the ACC compares themselves to the P2 football conferences. The money to the ACC shouldn't be even close to those two and isn't. Heck they don't even turn out for their basketball. Last year's NCAA Men's average attendance per game the ACC is only 49 fans ahead of the conference in fifth place. Yes, they are right at fifth place of all the conferences in basketball attendance per game. It's a lower level conference.
Swafford was always a Carolina Fanboy from day one. If incompetance (like Swafford) is a crime....then nearly every FSU alum has a solid court case and will need a couple lawyers each. (see lawsuits by UNC athletes for being denied a true, viable education).
At this point acc is going to have to pay us 500m damages lost rev etc

I've been a booster for over 20 years now and have several friends with the administration and somehow I didn't hear about it. Doesn't mean it's not true I'm just saying I didn't hear about it, none of my friends heard about it But, we were in Orlando most that week and not paying attention so I guess I'll have to do my own research.

The ACC has been in trouble for years ... The term Power 5 needs to be relegated to history. How long has it been since the ACC, or for that matter the Big and PAC 12, had 2 or more teams in the top10 discussion for a significant number of years ?

@@ds3333 I disagree. TA&M was told about Texas when all of the other schools found out and leaked it to the media. At the end of the day, they voted yes. Second, the SEC doesn’t want the B10 in the panhandle. If you watch Sankie, he described what the type of school the SEC wants and only two schools fall into that category. Moreover, it leaked out that the SEC didn’t want three Florida schools. Miami is not a fit for the SEC due to its small size, footprint (not a state school) , AAU status for the B10, and product on the field. The SEC does not want Miami.
I hope the courts and justices hold FSU accountable on their part trying to destroy the conference, and ruin the other universities.

What a delusional take. Not a single shred of truth or evidence to it either. It’s not Florida states job to support poverty football programs within its conference and that’s what it’s been forced to do. They will be out in a year or two and the other universities can handle their own revenue and issues.
If they sold our rights to espn in 2027 for $1 would they be grounds to sue? If you say yes then that means there is a dollar amount that is reasonable for fsu to sue.
@@SpecialK32 If you think about this? The ACC signed the contract with ESPN which was equals to what was being paid to the SEC and Big 10 at the time. ACC is still ahead on the Big 12 because they have their own ACC Network. The problem was not the ACC's fault when several of the schools did not perform as well after they have been added from the Big East. If they added more of a balance? They should have added all the Big East schools left which includes USF, Cincinnati, West Virginia and UConn. Then, you can easily have better teams with rivalries in place. Big East was a P6 conference back then. Pittsburgh, Boston College, Syracuse, USF, UConn, West Virginia, Virginia Tech, Cincinnati, Louisville, Miami, etc were used to be top 10 football programs that spent time in the top 5. Since then? They all have struggled to be relevant. It is not the ACC's fault. It is all the schools fault including FSU for not adding the rest of the schools. Boston College did not want UConn in because of the close in tv markets. FSU and Miami did not want USF. They all did not want West Virginia because of their academics. They could have gone into a new tv market with Cincinnati in Ohio.
How are we trying to destroy a conference the commissioners in presidents destroyed their self with those backdoor deals keeping us in the shadow not informing Us in helping our conference period
