Love Mike. He and JTrav rebuilt the program. This is Year 2 of the Dynasty. He has all of the integrity, character, and leadership of BB and may ultimately accomplish more.

DJU with a good O-line and running game should be able to move the ball on anyone on the schedule. Mike is an offensive mastermind with plenty of tools to work with.
Your tailbacks and receivers will need shin guards when DJ throws passes into the dirt.

DJ will take advantage of his situation. I expect some elite QB play from him. He has the O-line and defense to do serious damage
You expect something from him that he has never shown he is capable of? I think he will be a little better than last year but your expectations would require a huge jump in his play.

@@mikeholley4488 I'm not sayong he can't, only that expecting to do something he has not shown he is capable of is a stretch. FSU's wrs are almost entirely unproven and injury prone. Who is he going to throw the ball to if he is going to have some Heisman type season?

I keep telling people this and for whatever reason people think I'm joking ... DJU is a perfect fit in the offense Norvell was running at Memphis before he came to FSU ... Go look up those Memphis teams and look at the starting QBs
2016 Riley Ferguson 3700ish yards passing 32 passing TDs ... Negative rushing yards
2016 Memphis won 8 games with a top 15 offense in Norvell's first year as a head coach
2017 Riley Ferguson comes back 4200ish yards 38 TDs ... 22 rushing yards
2017 Memphis win's 10 games with the 2nd most total points that season
2018 Brady White comes in and throws 3200 yards and 26 TDs ... Negative rushing yards
2018 Memphis wins 8 games with a top 10 offense in total points
2019 Brady White is back he throws 4000 yards and 33 TDs again negative rushing yards
2019 Memphis wins 12 games with again a top 10 offense in total points
Do you not see the pattern ... Norvell's offense is built for a pocket passer and I love Jordan Travis and think he's way better than DJU but DJU is a better fit in Norvell's system he has the arm to make big throws and FSU is giving hi the best Oline he's ever had the offense was modified these past few years because Norvell had to work with what he had ... Now he has a pocket QB to run his vert offense and I think it's gonna shock the hell out of some people
DJU has to hit screens and short passes in stride CONSISTENTLY, in order for FSU to be successful.
Go look up Norvell's Memphis offenses ... They rarely ran screens and he was known for airing it out letting the QB throw deep ... What we've seen of Norvell so far at FSU was him modifying his system because that's what gave FSU the best chance to win ... DJU fits Norvell's system better than JT did even if JT was obviously the better QB

Off topic. But, FSU's board of trustees just scheduled a meeting for July 22. Big 10 media days start July 23. Coincidence or smoking gun?
By the way that meeting had already been scheduled for budget talks. Doubt it was scheduled the day before when it was scheduled.
@@seekingthetruth2748 It only showed up on their meetings page a few days ago. So maybe they had planned to schedule a meeting sometime in July, but they hadn't picked out an exact date. If so, why pick July 22? I am looking forward to seeing their meeting agenda and packet
Yesterday, I made a comment about DJU. I said he would be successful if he completed over 55% of his passes. Today, I will refine that and say, over 55% we win acc, over 60% we go undefeated in regular season, over 65% we win NC. There is too much talent on offense to fail. WR room must step up, and this team puts up obnoxious numbers. Go Noles!
Why are we supposed to hang on every word these people say. Coach Norvell deserves the benefit of the doubt. Since when does a coach who won 10 games then won 13 games the next year need the benefit of the doubt. I thought the benefit of the doubt was for teams that's not winning. Norvell has won 10 & 13 games in a season, but he still needs validation. Get real, I like the days when we didn't care what other people thought. Eventually, they'll catch up. If not, who cares. Fsu vs the world! How is having coach Norvell talk to him in the headset a great advantage. I could see it as a great advantage if the other teams fsu play can't use the headset. Everybody on the same playing field. Everyone gets to use the headset. Wow, talk about reaching.
We can easily slip back into mediocracy. Once we win a natty then we can give mike the benefit of the doubt. He’s showing great strides but he still needs time to show he is consistently great.
@Jkrishack like I said, he doesn't need the benefit of the doubt. Jimbo's last few years were a disaster. We weren't anywhere near a championship with him. Mike's shining moment could've been last year. The way that defense was hunting. Even with the backup qb, I liked our chances.
The coach speaking to the QB with the headset is an advantage to a QB within a new system. JT had been there so long and knew exactly which check down and audible to call. It is safe to say it takes at least 2 years in a complicated system to have it down pat. So yes the coach speaking in the ear of an experienced yet new QB is a great advantage😊
No ones talking about how Mike still hasn’t even had his own recruited QB1 yet lol just wait til Luke comes into the helm

Door door call 45 maybe six plays out of the same form and he changes it week after week and if you’re defensive coordinator, that makes an almost impossible because if you’re guessing you just have to get lucky

Norvell road in on Justin Fuente's coat tails. Fuente was responsible for turning us around and not Norvell. I'll never forgive him for quitting on us right before our biggest game in program history. I hope we kick his sorry ass in Florida this year.
Worried about the offense this season. Not many greet players, just good players. DJ is who we think he is, average passer. If we can’t run the ball, this offense is in trouble.

Mike Norvell being an offensive genius is a stretch. He got so lucky vs Clemson in OT. Just kept throwing go routes for like the final quarter and OT.
I’m not a fan of him. I want to see this “genius” without two Goliaths at WR.
Defense saved his ass.
You need to go back and watch Xs and Noles film break down. Many of the “bad calls” in that game were great calls and blown up by the poor execution of the offensive line.

This qb struggles to make any intermediate or deep passes consistently. Isnt his career completion % around 55 😂 if Norvell makes this qb look good hes truly a gifted coach but I dont see it this DJU is trash.
DJU is more physically gifted Travis. But Travis had the clutch gene showing up in big games.
Unless DJU has a drastic turnaround, this will be a 9-3 team.
