Ricky, Bobby had a very similar upbringing to Ted Bundy's, yet he made better choices. No one is perfect. He was very ill for all of his life but he did not sit on his laurels or seek revenge. He was married for six years and had several heart surgeries, eventually dying at only 37, yet donating his body to UCLA Medical Center for research. If that sounds like an asshole, then I'm twice as much.

Also if anyone is an asshole I'm positive it is you 100% - oh and I looked him up and he has 24 songs and 16 of them were hits, there were probably more songs of his but so far only found 24. I just turned 73 last month and have been a first hand witness to all of Bobby Darin's success. What a great artist with mega talent. He was on record labels,on TV programs and in movies. He could sing, act ,dance or do stand up routine.Everything he did turned to gold.He knew that he had a bad heart and would not live to an old age and so lived every moment to the fullest. He left us way too young. He was a first class gentleman along the whole road.Youngsters today could surely take some life lessons from the great Bobby Darin.

Some way, I don't know how
She'll bring her love to me
    Dream lover, until then

Even as a fan of modern and rap music, I still enjoy listening to oldies music such as Bobby Darin’s Dream Lover.

The 50s and 60s songs talked about love and respect, but then again every generation had its thing. Todays music I don't they've even figured out what their music is trying to say. I loved our music. It was easy to sing along with in the car, at home, wherever. Out parents, didn't like our music either. They listened to their music and we listened to ours, which to me was the best, but I liked Frank Sinatra, Perry Como etc. and a lot of their songs.

This is seriously (to me at least) the greatest song ever conceived!
It's catchy, perfectly timed and written, and SO full of heart!

There are singers who overcome the fact of being a very good singer and become an Idol, that was the Great and Magical Bobby Darin, we will always miss Him and Sandra Dee

If only I could go back on time for a month or so, maybe I would be able to get over my fascination for those old days. I would have closure.
