Bobby was terminally ill, on the verge of his strengths and physically almost unable to perform - other people with his condition would be even able to sing, not to mention the dancing and entertaining the live audience - and he still outsings and outperforms any modern artist at any time. True class, true legend.
Bobby Darin never got the serious attention he deserved...died too young...so many don't know how talented he really was. He was a performer who did bridge the gap between Big Band/Night Club (something else lost to the ages) and Rock 'n Roll.
This was the song that flew him off the charts, after "Splish Splash." A very talented guy who played several instruments, piano, drums, guitar, plus acted in some great movies, esp. "Come September" where me met Sandra Dee whom he later married. What a talent! Died way too young at age 37 in the recovery room after his last heart surgery. Sad to lose such a talent so young.
There's no freakin' comparison. This song will always belong to Bobby Darin.

Why? I don't understand why you would even compare the two. Bobby Darin owned this song.
No one sings it like Bobby Darin, it's HIS song.
Hands down, Bobby Darin owned this song. No one will ever do it as good as him.
I like Michael Buble and I think his version of Mack the Knife is quite good; but, I still think Bobby's version is better.
I love how Darin interacts with his audience I don't think that we'll ever have such an artist like him
There’s only one Mack, and that was Mr. Bobby Darin, beyond a doubt.
This song belongs to Bobby Darin. End of Story.
Bobby Darin without a doubt!!!!
Nobody owed the stage and the room like Bobby- mesmerizing and magnificent entertainer !
