    I grew up in the 60s enjoying Bobby Darin's songs. He was young in 1960 and so was I. I still love those songs and I will always regret that he left us too soon Thanks for sharing this.

    Love seeing this old footage the show was on like a year before I was born but I absolutely love it love Bobby Darin he was just the epitome of what a performer was back then and had to be to stay relevant in the industry and he had such a beautiful voice 💖💖💖

      +valentin armenta He suffered rheumatic fever as a child about age 9 and it severely damaged his heart. But oh did he make use of the little time he had on earth. What a star! Amazingly, most Americans were unaware that he had a heart defect until it was too late. He died after his second open heart surgery on December 20, 1973. The world was never the same after.

    Wow, he had a great voice! I like his charisma, he had a great stage presence and he was a great dancer too. He was a very handsome man too. He had it all. I can’t believe he died so young. May he rest in Heaven.

    Wow, May 2,1959. That was a month before my grandfather died. I was going on 13 later that year. Where did the time go? Too fast. I remember listening to that song on my grandparent's radio too.

    Oh how I loved Bobby Darrin from the time I was a little girl, I had3 teenage aunts at the time so I watched American Bandstand every Saturday with them from the time I could remember and was introduced to Bobby Darrin then and it was love at first sight and I never stopped loving him;when he passed away I was truly heartbroken for a long time whenever I thought of him or watched one of his movies or listened to one of his songs.

    I find it very delightful that his dance moves, all that fancy footwork, was allowed to be shown when just a few years later, Elvis was deemed 'vulgar' and could not be shown from the waist down. Bobby could dance, it's true. He was the whole package. I can also agree with you on that point. I just think that somethings were just unfair.

      +The Kid Use to wear them back in the '50s and '60s to baseball games and even fights. We have now become a nation of slobs with guys wearing their pants below their ass. It's an absolute disgrace.

    Ii just watched "Under the Sea" and I'm so sad that Bobby was not remembered like Elvis. They were traveling the same roads at nearly the same time.

    uk i never understood why young ladies screamed whenever an artist started dancing but given that today's artists hardly know how not to have 2 left feet. i myself stand impressed with artists from back in the day because they truly did it all when it came to entertainment
