  • Hi guys! Well, I got a chance to repair the 1959 Plymouth Fury this week, after Myles drove his 1966 model back to his place to start reassembling it! Dean is on the scene as we remove the seized engine from the little Renault 5, and we take the 1960 Fury for a drive before winter... His Edsel battery has arrived, so we get that going and he can take it home, too!
Calendars are sold out; thanks so much to everyone who ordered one... they are all shipped now, so watch the mail!
Oh! I do not have a Telegram account or any bullshit contest going! Do not respond to any of these "contest winner" replies; they are a scam.
Thanks to everyone who subscribed to our channel here, and thanks also for all of your "likes" and comments!

Just got the Calendars in the mail yesterday - and it's obvious how much care went into every aspect of the project, even the packaging! I'm very glad I was able to support it and help make it a success. When I'm back to visit Dad I'll post a picture of us with them in the Patreon Community wall. The photography work on the Fury photo was the most stunning, and of course it got the top spot - the peak of Summer. Well done to everyone involved!

I learn something every episode- a few shows ago, Jim set me straight on the 'correct' lyrics to Iggy Pop's 'Lust for Life'; this episode, Dean set me straight on the lyrics to Elton John's 'Benny and the Jets', so my non-automotive related knowledge has benefited from CWM, too!

The worst nightmare I've seen is a 1978 Chevy van ambulance conversion. It had two batteries and all the extra wiring for lights stuffed in that very tight space.. The switches were mounted on a panel attached to the inside engine cover. To get that cover off, you had to release the clamps and reach under to pull the plugs. I was about 12 years old and was the only one around with small enough hands to get into most places on that thing. Thanks for the weekly entertainment. Cheers!

So much to unpack in this episode! First off, good job on saving a rare "Chryco" rad. I never thought much about the radiator in my '65 Polara until I had to get it re-cored, and then realized it was a Chryco unit and most likely original to the car. I had previously assumed that it would have been replaced at some point in the last sixty years. Secondly, it's great to see Tom looking so good / chipper. He has his old sass back, and it's wonderful to see. Finally, Myles Fury looks great! It's so satisfying to see the payoff for all of that hard prep work! Love the show, keep 'em coming!

    *RED!*
To those patina fans out there, I offer the following: i LOVED that this episode had so many *nice* looking cars!
The '66 Fury looks (and sounds) amazing, the '59 + '60 Fury brothers did their usual preening and even Deans'
Edsel is looking (and again, sounding) sweet. Love it!
(...something Renault something something...sorry, eyes glazed over at that engineering monstrosity...)
Myles, Justin, Dean, Tom all make cameos too. All in all, another sweet episode and we look forward to the
pack mule delivery bringing the calendar up the ridge one month soon....hopefully (can't track it, so?).

Can't wait to see Myles Fury in full trim. Dean gets the Edsel's engine to operating temperature it should be toasty inside.

Such a great week! I love the music, just not long enough to crank it up and enjoy (hint🙃). Scott, I know that you know what you are doing, but that Renault would just leave me shaking my head. It looked and still looks impossible. Loved seeing Vicky at home amongst her friends. The paint on the Fury is jaw dropping. 👍 Myles.

The paint job looks great on Myles' Fury. Nice rad repair! The French car culture has been picking up lately. Only other car engine I think that may be worse is the late model Honda's before they went to fuel injection. They held onto those carbs just a little too long in the mid 80's, and the amount of vacuum lines is amazing and defeating at the same time. I know a few people that converted them over to fuel injection or engine swapped them to keep the cars going.

Thank you, awesome show! Excellent cold starts and driveway scenes of the Plymouth and the Edsel. I do fondly remember earlier Cold War Motors "carbon fooprint" seasonal footage 😄 Greatly appreciated, cool R5 progress! Thanks all ❤

I enjoyed seeing Dean pulling out the 66 Plymouth fury. You men worked hard to get that knocked out. Glad to see your get the Radiator fix it needed. With cold weather coming. That Renault was playing hard to get. Dean is excited. Love the Edsel. Thanks for sharing!
    💯👍👊
