- Hi guys! Another busy week at CWMC HQ; the 1966 Plymouth Fury is here for bodywork and paint! We've got 2 weeks, minus the weekends, so we'd better get busy! Agents are stopping in to help out and we'll be putting in long days... We still have a lot to do if we're going to get it finished by Friday!.

Hi Scott, you put 3 coats of color, but how many coats of clear would you say is enough to last under very hot sunny conditions? I have been told 3 coats of clear is enough.
That's a disgusting amount of work to pack into such a short time frame. Everyone involved did an outstanding job!

Watching this episode bring home the understanding of why a good paint job cost thousands of dollars vs hundreds of dollars. Explains the popularity of patina builds. Paying cost lot of bucks!

There's something so satisfying about watching a car getting painted.. The calendar looks amazing!!
I was amazed at the coverage achieved with that red product - plus it layed down nice and flat- wet AF to be sure. Yes only some of us are aware of how stressful it is to apply colour and clear after all the effort underneath... It's like a club of people that truly know what goes into a decent paint refinish... kinda like childbirth...

WOW!!!!!!!!!!! Not enough can be said for the great TUTORIAL by Scott as Myles applied the coats of paint!! It looks FANTASTIC! I am so jealous of that amazing painting of the '66 FURY! Only because Scott did such a great show of how its done! Myles, you worked hard and we know it was a little stressful..but a great learning curve for you!

I am so looking forward to Myles putting the Fury back together. My brother-in-law had a similar car back in the day, but i think his had a black vinyl roof. What a massive push to get it done!

Then Tom was there to kill your PG rating then came Dean and the gang sanding away between Frankers dust-offs before the Alchemist and his Apprentice sprayed away night and day and night and another day! Best CWM episode ever! Scott totally captured the real experience and emotion of what it’s like to lay down paint on a car that you just spent a couple hundred man hours prepping. Right down to the moving around slowly, trying keep the dust down, while looking at the finished paint from every angle. Then having the second, third, fourth and last look before reluctantly turning the shop lights out.
Great work, Myles! Also, I guess that block sanding is good physical therapy for your arm!

After all the body work. There is nothing more satisfying than laying the paint on. You know you are close seeing the reward you have been working for. Glad too see Miles got to do the spraying.

The 1963 me is absolutely gobsmacked that the 2023 me bought a calander with a picture of an Edsel. Thanks to CWM I've come to appreciate the car a 10 year old me just could not.

❤I sure wish I had a tom next door he is the life of the party and he's a well of knowledge .and having Myles brain around is a great asset I love this channel I govern my week around Thursday and sat. Afternoons ,the knowledge these fine men has between them is second to none I learn things every week and the comrodery shown restores my faith in real men who work together with a common goal in mind .and then there's baby frankers of coarse.

Miles , I couldn’t agree more. , did my first full paint job this summer and it is totally stressful. I got way more than one run so good job man. Nothing like the finished product to make up for the hours of sleep

That's very red. Love that east/west crease in the aft part of the roof. One wonders if that was an effort to remind people of the convertible version. And kudos to JCK photography. Lovely work on the calendar pics!
GM cars 1962-64 pillarless coupes also had the fake convertible crease. Look at a 1964 Impala "hardtop convertible" and see the crease. Definitely a nod to the canvas tops.

What a beautiful job and what an awesome color. High Fives and a standing "O" to Myles for his accomplishment! That is a beautiful Fury and it will be amazing when it's all back together. A lot of wisdom and knowledge went into these weeks of prep leading up to these two weeks of marathon painting. I think all of us learned a lot and seeing first hand what work goes into paint a car especially the old full size cars of the past. Well done Scott and all who contributed over these weeks.

Band sounds tight. First episode of CWM I can't have a beer because of Covid : ( wish me luck I have a job interview monday for a job I won't have to work overnight pushing snow (been doing that for over 25 years). Calendar looks very nice!
I LOVE LOVE the opening band segment. Music, has been my life, and profession- it's great to see people having fun playing music.. that's how it's supposed to be. I have painted plenty of guitars. It can indeed surprise you with boogers and kick your ass. I've also done some bodywork, and have painted a few cars back in the day. Funny thing, I always found painting really enjoyable... when that first coat of red went on, I had big smile on my face. Nice work, guys- and Myles- nice job! I can't wait to see it done!

Wow! what a result. A fantastic amount of effort put in and a great outcome. Loved the Roxy Music clip. I was a big fan in my youth, when they first appeared on the old grey whistle test, I'd never seen anything like them. Scott, the editing was great. A very watchable and enjoyable episode this week.
