Looking forward to the tshirt and such a great finish for the V8 challenge! Can’t wait for the challenge portion of the series!
I have been advised that my T Shirt is on its way 😁
Miles hard core as usual still turns up with only one good arm and gets stuck in top man cheers scott and the agents from the UK 🇬🇧 cheers
In 1958 the studebaker was in someone's driveway, washed, waxed, and pampered. Now she's at CWM given some love again. Can't wait to see them running together
Instead of them being lost, CWM give these cars further life
@@patdesrosiers6423 that's why we watch and love CWM
First of all, bravo to Agent Myles for showing up for duty with his arm in a cast and later with a sling. Whatta guy! Team Studie is fortunate to have such a devoted member of the pit crew..That Studie steering column pull was an achievement to the extent the rotted floorboards were a benefit to completion of the task at hand. Happy all celebrated the achievement @ the BBQ and looking forward to the final V-8 showdown! There’s nowhere besides CWM where such pleasures can be found…
Congrats to all of the agents for their hard work on these V8 gems. I hope Team Captain Myles heals fast, best wishes. Enjoy the T racing. Since these cars will be doing some hard work in the finale, can I suggest that the transmissions and differentials might thank you if they had newer gear oil in them than what was around when Dwight Eisenhower was President.
I'm so proud of all of you getting both the Ford and the Studebaker running again! The Studebaker has to be quite rare now. I doubt there are many '58 Studebaker 2-dr. hardtops in existence. Perhaps some time in the future you could restore the sheet metal that has rusted away and patch the floors. There are probably people who could donate various parts to help. Best to all of you!
Hi, Scott, My best wishes to Myles. Congratulations to Team Studbaker on getting the '58 run well. I can't wait for the race. Good luck to everybody. Cheers!
WOW Scott! What beautiful engines!! So nice to have these friends that give so much energy to the cars! Sorry about Miles Mopar's tragic hurt. Glad they could fix him right away. It is like a muscle cramp that does not go away! That hurts.!
Thanks for getting dirty for our pleasure! So much fun for us out here. We all love it! Cheers! Rich
Wow Scott, the Studebaker runs great !
What a great video! Heartwarmimg to see these old beauties running again, never get tired of seeing them rolling along majestically over the humps and bumps - the suspensions seem to carry these cars better than anything on the road today!! Great crew of guys there, happy to see that. - Hope Myles gets well soon - like a trooper he is always there for the team!
Pretty cool seeing these two classics running again!
It's wonderful being able to spend time with you guys and your cars! It warms the heart to see that old Studebaker run again.
Hey thanks! Glad you enjoyed this one like we did putting it together...
It always blows me away how far cars advanced between 1950-1960. Style, performance, all radically different in just 10 years.
Jason - Yep. 1940 to 1950 also. The difference in size and body panel and passenger compartment utilization between a 1940 Buick and the 1952 Buick our family had (like Scott's 1950 Buick) was remarkable. The 1940 was basically a very large assemblage of rectangular boxes with rounded fenders, but the 50's version was a little more compact and rounded overall, with fenders integrated into the body.
congratulations on making the Studebaker and ford victoria run again! They are both really cool cars. Hopefully some day the bodies and metal work can be repaired.
An early upload. My weekend is made! Scott don't ever say this is going to be an easy day when it comes to working on an old car. That phrase pushes Karma to the limit. This was really a fun video!!!
Awesome job by all the agents! Get well soon Miles. Cheers!
After watching the show this week I had to ask myself, self would the Stig test drive the Studebaker? Absolutely, he would. Damm the doors, full speed ahead. Looking forward to the race. Go team Vicky!
I'm guessing Tom is the age my dad would be if he were still alive, he died in 2007 at the age of 60, hopefully Tom has many good years left in him! Fantastic video as usual!
Absolutely beautiful result for both the Crown Victoria and Studebaker. Now we need to see the reaction of Johnathan.
Jonathons studebaker won’t ever run, he’s putting wood and water in the fuel tank.
An absolute hoot, once again, thanks Scott and agents! I hope Myles’ recovery is quick, we Pontiac people need to be on top of our game! Hope the races are great fun, as a patron of Strong’s Garage as well, it’s so good to see you all having a blast! Cheers from the other side of the big rock.
Congratulations! Miles, take it easy. You’re not a spring chicken anymore 😉. Hope the surgery goes well and you heal quickly.
I was going to comment a witty crack on the “CLEARANCE” sign until good old Tom stole my thunder. 😂 I hope that Myles will heal quickly. He’s a trooper. Thanks for another great week Scott. 👍
THERE SHOULD TOTALLY BE A 2-lap crew race where all the team is in the car!
That would be great if the floors can hold everyone.😂
Quick Recovery, Myles!
Looking forward to seeing the showdown, both cars seem to be running sweet. Back from the dead in style. Hope Miles gets his arm sorted, after all that work he deserved a drive! Great entertainment as always,no wonder people want to help support your efforts. Looking forward to my T shirt, and have received the notification of it's shipping! Best wishes from the UK 🇬🇧
Scott you and the rest of crew make an enjoyable show that reminds me of younger days in Miinnesnowta where we worked on muscle cars from the 60s & early 70s during the Winter to get them ready for the next Spring.. ..😊😊
The Stude sure would make a good scruffy beater the way the '60 Fury was originally intended, it's just that "15 cars ahead of it" thing. Wishing speedy recovery to Myles, cheers!
Kinda forgot about the "now this car will move" aspect of this for the Studebaker. Thumbnail startled me, but it doesn't have to be restored to be driven. Tom's nuts, it's a looker.
Great video such a joy seeing yall working together and helping each other. like in the good old days when things were that way normally glad to see some places are still that way
That flat head v8 really runs great, especially when you look at what you started with! The Studebaker is running really fine also, so well done guy's.
Man the old Studebaker sounds Good, will have some Grunt, think in a drag race, the old might struggle to the Studebaker!
Nice work on both cars, running like champs ! Takes a lot of patience cobble together something from old junk making it work again. Great show !!!
Thanks, cheers from Texas ! 🤠
Hopefully the harvest goes as well as these two really want a good run. Weather should hold out and the only white we see is those two awesome machines flinging dirt. Great job by all. Get patched up Myles, you have to drive it too. But it’ll wait until you’re all healed up. Thanks again.
There are no winners or losers in this competition. The Victoria was the first to run but it was the better car starting off. Both cars were to the point most people would’ve just left them to rot or crushed them so to get both moving under their own power is a win/win in my books. Both teams did a great job. Cheers guys, happy long weekend 🍻
Congratulations boys! She's a beauty! A get healed soon for Miles.. even with only one arm I wouldn't poke a stick at him. P.S. My son informed me today that there's a "T" shirt on its way to me.. finally, having kids is paying off. Cheers from the shed and all the best.
Careful Randahl, he might claim that t shirt for his own and you'll end up with a Spongebob Squarepants t shirt instead. 😎
😁@@glennnickerson8438
Cheers Randahl! All the very best from everyone here as always!
Saturday vid out early. Great Saturday fun watching. Thx ColdWar Motors.
Looks like you all had great fun...
Nothing better than friends hanging out & turnin wrenches..
Throughy enjoyable episode/show. Love how that Study V-8 runs
Fantastic, glad to see both cars running. Can't wait for the racing. Also Can't wait for Laura's take on the 37. Another great episode, stay dirty 👍
Stay dirty my friend, or was that thirsty?
After years of waiting the Studebaker lives. Great job guys👍👍👍👍
Congratulations to Team Vickie and Team Studebaker. 2 great ones running again. Cold beer and deer sausage makes Dean happy. I think Tom really likes the Studebaker.
Fabulous to see the Stude running, that engine is sweet !!! Congrats to the team. Looking forward to the next one 👍
I'm so thrilled to see the Studebaker moving under its own power! Dean's new nickname is Mr. Clean.:)
Scott, you're upping the show's tone (can't rightly say it's real high-tone yet but it's gettin' there) with a montage intro including Franker's slomo romps also used as segues! Shade tree and umbrella mechanics finished the Vicky/Stude race to run + drive weeks before the post-harvest race in fine fiddle! Or should I say banjo! The Stude may have an edge in HP but that old Vicky could be a sleeper! A couple of self tappers + mending plate will hold the Stude's passenger side whilst an interior single screw mending plate will allow access + egress for the driver. You and the agents are an incredibly able crew including intrepid Myles who shows up one-armed but ready. What an achievement for CWMs! Great Video! High desert cheers all around!
the indescribable magic of a Studebaker, the TT burnout,.. check, a door flying open,. check, but wait it should spit a hub cap, oh, there it is. You guys are the best entertainment in automotive youtube.
I finally got a notification for the first time in month's. TH-cam has been messed up.
At least I can watch the show. Have a great Saturday!
Good to see the old girls run again. Thank you Scott and the Agent's. Have fun Franker's!
Great job is always. You guys are too much fun to watch
Glad you enjoy it!
Mikes breaks a wing and still shows up to work... Glad to see the Stude up and running. I guess I'll get off the couch and fix something around here.
Guys, I have loved this years V8 showdown!!!! When I was 21 yrs old ( after surviving the jungle), I looked for several years for a '57 or '58 2dr hardtop . never found one I could afford they were so hard to find sons of Dads of my Dads generation like me were looking. So I found and bought a '69 Hemi GTX! I wrote to and got tips & advice from the 426 Hemi Guru. I loved my '69 GTX but I fell in love on d sold it to buy my first house! I'm 7 now and would LOVE to find a '58 hardtop like yours. Yeah, I know I'm dreaming, but please keep your videos coming!! They make this old grandpa very hapoy!! Bless you Scott and all your friends for making so many of my days happy!!!
Excellent show Agents. Looking forward to the Grand Finale and the T races. I think Laura will appreciate the 37 Chev. Like the Rover without the leather. Haha. Cheers all 🇨🇦
Love the dash on the Studebaker, very cool.
Congrats on getting the faster car running. It maybe holy, but by gosh the 289 Stude will blow the doors off the Ford hardtop I believe. Congrats to both teams for a tremendous amount of work getting these 2 cars running and stopping. Let's see how next weeks competition goes. I want all of you in your best Saturday night date outfits and we can vote on the sharpest best dressed team followed by the team that can drink the most beer and still dance an Irish jig or whatever international dance routine they can remember after all that beer.
Good looking Studebaker definitely needs a CWM tidy up
This engine also runs super! I have always felt that many of the cars in wrecking yards could easily be put back on the road. Kind of like my Aunt's neighbor - his car needed a tune up BAD. He thought it was just worn out and needed to be junked. Too much money I guess.
It’s nice to see the Studebaker running under it’s own power. You and the agents worked pretty hard to get that car in the condition that it is now in. It runs smooth as silk. Great job guys.
The 58 Studebaker HT is becoming an investment! Great job 👏
Awesome show today! Thanks. You got a lot of work done. Look forward to Laura's take on the Chev. How is her car coming along? Hooray for the Calendar!
Speedy recovery Myles. Looking forward to seeing more . My favorite show on utube. ❤😎✌️👍
It wouldn’t be an episode without Tom the bomb! His strategic use of the f word is priceless.
Great job on both teams. Those cars have lot's of story's and maybe a few more to be part of now that CWM's has touched them. Cheers to all You Guy's. 👍👍
How does Team Studebaker succeed? 1. Myles comes in hurt. 2. Tom supplies a needed part. 3. Scott takes "rust showers" installing the clutch setup and steering column. 4. Dean polishes the glass. And another hour is well spent North of the Border. All that's missing is my beer and brat - Cheers! Go Team Studebaker!
Heal quick Miles! Great to see both old girls running so strong.
Looking forward to receiving my T-shirt.
The Studebaker banter, "floor delete," and "we don't even have to get under the car now" were pretty funny.
It's the Flintstone version
Another great video, that Studebaker runs great, well done.
It's nice to see all the hard work pay off on both cars.
You seem to have a bunch of good buddies. One question, what's the surprise going to be on the'53 Packard?
Was it just the ending segment?
Anyway, cheers and God help poor Myles.
Another badass,action-packed episode gentlemen-cheers to the generous! ❤️🔧
Hey thanks! Glad you liked it.... Cheers form here!
Just got home from the races and show and shine at Bruderheim and it was a lot of fun. Watching this weeks episode with a beverage is a perfect end to a great day. I got shivers hearing the description of the arm injury. I had stopped by CWM’s last week with another care package but it appeared that no one was home. I’ll try again. Cheers!
Sorry I missed you Dan! Cheers...
You might want to water 💧 blast the radiator for sure 😉
So good to see the Stude driving. It took some work but you guys did it! Sorry about Myles' arm. Thanks for another great installment.
The Studebaker sounds awesome! Get well soon Myles!
Sorry to see Miles can't be two-handy for awhile.Did you get the Studie from Dean,as it does have the standard "floor-delete' option?Great Work to Both teams!!From rusty to semi-trusty in just a few weeks.(Well, okay, they're still rusty.Shhhh,an inspector may watch)Tom's always a great visitor and helper.Hope the tractor and 'T' races went well, and Safe for everyone.Cheers to All !
Awesome to see the two cars running .
What do you have planned for the
Packard , ?
As always Scott I’ll be looking forward to your next video.
All the best !
Great video, love to see these classic getting a second chance at life.
Great job guys Sounds great Feel better Miles should be a good race
I’m a Ford guy and I’m rooting for the Victoria but I still think the studebaker is going to win
Also the Fairlane is awesome
And I hope the arm heals quickly Myles
Hey, come on guys! You're cutting corners... NO REVERSE lights on the Studebaker. LOL The results you guys get are AMAZING! They run and drive!! Unreal considering what you started with! Awesome show!!
That Studie isn't a half bad looking car when you see it on the move. Never seen one at all until I saw yours. Deserves a resto some day.
Miles is a BRUTE. Man looks like he bench presses Automatic Transmissions every evening. Never would have guessed he'd be in a cast. Sure hope you get back together soon. Scott missed out on giving you a custom paint job on your cast though - I'd bet it would have been a real doozie :-) Congrats on getting both cars up and going. Love that flathead rumble but the Studie sounds so tough. Race day is gonna be so worth the wait!
Awesome! The twin traction on the Studebaker is the real winning piece I think Vic is sounding superb fuel pump and carbs on both turned out very well
It still amazes me how those old cars can be brought back to life. If Tom has the needed random part, what does his place look like? Sorry to see that injury, Myles. I hope you heal fast. Thanks for sharing the fun. Cheers!
Yeah, Tom has had so many parts over the years... I'm surprised we haven't emptied his garage by now! Cheers from here, Heather!
Both cars are awesome and need to be drivers. Great show!
That one little light was hanging in there. Good job guys!
I knew Dean would go deep to retrieve that hubcap
Oh no.. Jonathan's cwm agent skeleton may have 'jinked' the studebaker, its running but Miles breaking his arm.🤔....after watching the studebaker run, the ford may have the best power to weigh ratio going for it. This actually may closer than you think. Can't wait for the big race....keep up the good work!
i did the same with a 59 rambler 327. went from push button 3speed to 3 speed with overdrive. fuel economy increased along with performance. the automatic had been a money pit. although when it was working it was fine. The only down side is the wife won't borrow it because it's a Standard. if that is a negative.
We've aĺl heard of the mystical 3/4 race cam, but a 3/4 race floor sounds like it could be the next big thing!
This floor is damn near "Full Race"! Haha cheers buddy...
This episode approved by Chuck Barris!
Awesome work y'all, Myles, what a fuckin' soldier for the 'Stude team! Get well quick brother!
All I can say is that if I had a neighbor that had a pack of friends like you guys are, I would be in heaven, and I would have to buy beer and look for the classic rides to roll in and I would stop in with my cooler full of suds. Leave with grease on my hands and clothes. Enjoy your weekend and I know you are in Canada and I hope you have a great Labor Day weekend! God bless you all and I hope that I will be glued to every second of the video as always. Great afternoon and evening to you all!
Let the race begin 💪
Now you did it the Studebaker deserves 👏 some floors 😊❤
Cheers to team Studebaker, great job. Unbelievable that both cars run.
Thumbs up for Myles, get well soon buddy.
Love all the commeradere and fellowship, it's encouraging in this dismal world.
Your brother has a really cool car.
Love see all the old cars that everyone drives. It's a great show Scott, keep it up.
Cheers from Wisconsin
Amazing accomplishment getting those forgotten classics to actually run again especially with the Herculean efforts each old engine required...and to have both sound so good on their startups. More coldwarmotors milestones go into the history books! The highpoints of my stressful weeks every midweek clip and every Saturday "dogumentary" really keeps the spirit up! Standing O for all involved!
Whoo hoo! Congrats on the 2 fantastic runners. My childhood buddy/neighbor had a 58 Studbuster V8 like yours that we never could get to run. This would have been in 1966 so the car was only 8 years old at the time. Lack of and/or crappy maintenance must have been a lot more prevalent back then!
No, it i more prevalent now. This car was, I'm sure, deliberately destroyed. Probably given to a high school kid by his Aunt or Grandmother, but "unkool", so he probably put a big rock on the gas pedal, started it up and let it scream it's self to destruction, figuring that if it "broke down", he would be given a cooler car instead.
Best part of the end of summer vacation is coming home to 3 episodes of cold war motors! Thanks again Scott, frankers and all the agents!
One thing I found that helps with not so good quality ratchet is lubricating the ratchet mechanism with seafoam deep creep tends to drive out the junk and make the mechanism work a little better.
Impressive styling by Studebaker/Packard to fit in dual headlights by adding totally undetectable pods to the front.
Like unto 57 Mercury!
As always thank you for sharing this with us all, I will hope you have a great week. Great video and I wish you all and enjoy your race. God bless you all and I hope anyone who's ailing (Miles) and anyone else hopefully you heal quickly. Thank you all again and till next time. Rodger ,Wilco ,over, and out.
Well done chaps well done! It's good to see all the guys mucking in and warms my mechanical heart!
good fun with Jonathan skites with the dead man down. great time on the cars. the 58 sure sounds sweet and so is the show. well done guys. cheers.
Bet wishes for Myles' speedy recovery. When the hubcap gently rolled off in that slight left turn I cracked up for a few minutes . Both cars sound so good. And then the gorgeous car at the end was like dessert.
Received notification a day or so ago that my T shirt is in the mail. Loved seeing the Studebaker in running order. Hadn't ridden in one since 1965 and that was I believe, a '57 Studebaker. I look forward for word from the calendars if possible. Fanx gentz for another classic show of those wonderful classic cars! Tops off the week for everyone! Cheers!
Great video, both cars sound great! Excellent job!!
Bravo to both teams for resurrecting those forgotten cars. Of course, the Vicky stayed true to its original style, while the Studie went through so many morphisms. IMO the best being final edition of the 2-door hardtop - GT (Gran Turismo) Hawk - not the Golden Hawk, which ( as many other brands) suffered from trying to Chryslerize with crazy stuck-on fins, wrap-around windshield & quad headlights. A poor imitation of your '58-'60 Furies. Best to Myles for a smooth recovery.
