I'm 100% certain that Steve Berry off Top Gear in the 90s is a man of honour and integrity and you will have nothing to worry about. I'm going to have a little rant now so feel free to go and read the other comments, I don't expect you to endure this. Roundabouts? If you have to. Traffic lights? perhaps. Traffic lights on roundabouts? No! Pick one or the other, not both. What's the point of a roundabout if you're just going to put traffic lights on it. Either have a roundabout or have traffic lights, if you need to put traffic lights on your roundabout then the roundabout was not the correct solution in the first place. You should have gone with traffic lights in the first place. Traffic lights on roundabouts are a sign that road planners messed up and the more roundabouts with traffic lights there are, the more ashamed the road planners should be. And don't get me started on these new roundabouts getting in everyones way just so people who buy new houses can get out of their road quicker than the people who lived there before the new houses came and made the traffic worse. Am I right?

Yes you are right. The only instance where the 'traffobout' works is off motorway junctions.

Very well diagnosed, Mustard. As regards the wrong 3 tools, I suppose no worse than 1 wrong tool, as long as you got the right 3, 2nd time round

Yes I got the correct tools eventually, and I could have pretended that I didn't make a mistake, but that's just not me

Every time you drive a car around the yard, dangle that strong magnet you’ve got from somewhere at the rear of the car just above ground level.

      That's quite a good idea

My money is on a seized clutch arm that has caused the slave cylinder to explode.
    Best of luck

It should be good again with plenty of use.

@@ProjectNigel my MG F had the same problem 8 or 9 years ago. A bit of plus gas on the shaft and a good wiggle worked. It's been my daily driver since.

I had the clutch slave cylinder seal fail on the MGF I had a few years ago, right in the middle of the road and at a set of traffic lights, the pedal went straight to the floor and I was stranded.
Luckily a passerby saw my plight and assisted with helping me push the car into a nearby car park which was where I was turning into as it happened.

      @@ProjectNigel it was a bit.
Had to be recovered home after a 2 hour wait!
The Garage that replaced the cylinder for me said it’s a common MG/Rover fault.

Talking about roundabouts, we have a beautiful one near me at Fareham, which I have you get through from Gosport on my way to Portsmouth. It has six junctions off it and 9 (if I remember rightly) sets of traffic lights on it. How the h... does that work,....?? .the answer is terrible!!!🙈

You can top up both water and oil from the section within the boot. No need to remove the engine cover for this

Guys, I have a rover 25. I'm going to replace the tailgate with a new one. I found on sale covers from rover 200 and rover MG. Will tailgate fit from 200 or MG for 25?

    • @ProjectNigel
