    Ping Pang Pong has excellent chicken feet, and often you have to ask for it as many diners, especially Caucasians, seem to have an aversion to them. It's all about the sauce. The expansion and ambiance upgrade Ping Pang Pong underwent several years ago really gives it a nice atmosphere.

    • @LetsEatVegas
      @LetsEatVegas  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, it's all about the sauce! I ordered the chicken feet at Yum Cha and they tasted old so it was hard to judge the sauce. And yes again, the atmosphere at PPP is very nice...definitely sets it apart from the other dim sum places! Thanks for the comments!

      You're so fortunate to live in San Francisco for the Dim Sum! What's your favorite few Dim Sum items?? Dim Sum and dumplings...they are our favorites as well. We have a review coming out in a few weeks about another Vegas Dim Sum and Dumpling gem...you won't want to miss it!

      LetsEatVegas,
      I love all dumplings, shrimp toast, crab claw, Taro Root, custard tarts, and just about everything you had at this restaurant,lol. Yank Sing is still my favorite, but there are quite a few as I'm sure you know. Can't wait to see the next one you try. 👍

    Ping Pang Pong IS the Best dim sum in Vegas. I took both of my wives there last year. We ate most of the items that you had. When we left we were all full. Hopefully the 3 of us will get back there again this year.

    I am delighted that you reviewed Ping Pang Pong as I have it on my list of restaurants to try when in Vegas. When you go back can you try the duck. That was one of the items on my list… Love duck. Thank you again for a wonderful review and such a fantastic style to your video including the narrative and pictures of the food. Mouthwatering!!!

    Maybe it was just me but last time when I went to Ping Pang Pong , it was disappointed. The fried dim sum were cold , almost like they were leftover being reheated and the normal stuffs just didn't taste right. Their dim sum tasted 10x better when it was in little tiny restaurant years ago. I usually don't go to Gold Coast unless its for Ping Pang Pong but I haven't been back in a long time.

    • @LetsEatVegas
      @LetsEatVegas  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Sorry to hear you've had a bad experience at PPP. We went three times to make the video and the food was excellent (except for the calamari which was horrible). We can only comment on the experience we have. Restaurants go through phases, usually due to kitchen personnel changes, so maybe PPP is back on track now compared to years ago. Well, thanks for watching!

    I try to get to PPP when in Las Vegas. Always enjoyed the calamari but lately I have found it to be cold and rubbery. I like many of the dishes, but prices add up quickly when ordering off the cart.

      Yes, the calamari was horrible for us as well, 😔. As for the prices...those are increasing everywhere right now...crazy, 🤕.

    I like this push carts and refills on sodas. It's pricey but good. Imo, it's not worth the price. However, its good for casino pricing. KJ is probably the cheapest. The shop at Venetian is probably the most expensive

    • @LetsEatVegas
      @LetsEatVegas  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hmmm, I thought PPP was very reasonably priced, particularly for a casino place. I've tried KJ before but it was my birthday and someone else paid so I didn't pay attention to the prices. I'll have to check them out again. But, in the larger picture, we mostly concentrate on the food and not the pricing. Thanks though for the input...much appreciated!!

    Another great review!! On your 3 visits to make this review… what days of the week and what time did you go? I’d like to target going the same times… I find that food comes out better and more focused when the kitchen is not under stress…

      Thank you! Let's see, I know we went right at opening each day which is 10AM. I also know we went on 2/4 and 2/5 but am not sure about the third visit. I can say the third visit was a weekday. OK, hope that helps!

    I never order fried calamari at italian or chinese restaurants. they're ALL bad -- either too much batter or too many squid legs. Only order grilled calamari salad at Greek restaurants they're AMAZING!
    Having said that, I've eaten at Ping Pang Pong a few times, good but not the best (come to Los Angeles for the best dim sum, such as Lunasia in Alhambra and HK Dim Sum House in San Gabriel, the latter has the most AMAZING shrimp balls.) Happy to see fast growing Chinatown in LV but all that quantity does not equate quality, at least by our L.A. standards. I have eaten at 8 or 9 dim sum joints in LV Chinatown (including all the ones you reviewed) and sadly would not recommend any one of them.

    • @LetsEatVegas
      @LetsEatVegas  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I lived in LA for 40+ years and was never impressed with any of the places you mentioned. Honestly, I've never had better food than what I've found here in Vegas.
      As for Calamari, I agree it's rarely very good. Oddly, the best I've had here in Vegas was at a noodle house called Noodle Head. We did a video on them. Check it out: th-cam.com/video/akKETM86uMU/w-d-xo.html

      Can you define the region of Chinatown? I looked all night last night and didn't see any precise listing of street boundaries. I'd love to know. As for New Asian BBQ we reviewed them a few weeks back. Check out our video: th-cam.com/video/0Umgge5ex-k/w-d-xo.html

    Little overprice and Dim Sum is just soso !

    • @LetsEatVegas
      @LetsEatVegas  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hmm, for a place within a casino/hotel that's just off strip, the prices seem pretty good. The only item which was ridiculously priced was the lamb skewers at $16.99. The rest of the dishes were comparable if not better than prices at non strip dim sum places. New Asian BBQ was quite a bit more expensive and they don't make everything there. When's the last time you went to restaurants here? Prices are going up by the minute! 😉. Well, anyway, thanks for watching and commenting!!
