🤤 I have to say…TY for showcasing this delicious dim sum spot! Every time I fly to Honolulu, this is my first stop! Hands down the best dim sum spot ever! Everything you ordered especially the baked buns omg…. 🤤 🤤 my fave! The har gow..the large chunks of shrimp..AMAZING! They truly take pride in what they serve. I like the look fun and the sauce too! The service is great and they are so attentive. We order two of everything each time we go, because peeps..one order is never enuff! I haven’t been brave enough to try the chicken feet yet, however each time I see you eat it I get more curious. Lol. Thanks again Amanda and Felix for sharing your adventures 🥰

We went to the one near Ala Moana mall, and we have to say we were really surprised and thankful for you helping us find this place. In Denver we go to Star Kitchen and We use this as a baseline for good Dim Sum. This place was better! We rarely find places we want to go to more than once, and this is a place we want to keep going to over and over again. The Charsiubao was awesome lots of flavor and filling. The pot stickers were almost exactly like my wife makes them with lots of Nirra (garlic chives). And the 菠蘿奶皇包 (custard bun) were to die for!! They were filled with the best custard that had a slight mango flavor, or some tropical fruit. Lastly the Dantar (custard egg tarts) were the best we have ever had the crust so light and flakey, the custard so sweet. We have tried two other places in Oahu, and this was the best.

Dim Sum is my all time fave! I've always wished it could be found other times than just the traditional 9 to 2pm. This is the first I've seen it offered all day. When next on island I'm definitely going to try this place! Mahalo for finding and sharing with us.

This video popped up as I was watching a Tabieats video. It looked good so when I went to Oahu, I checked it out. Very authentic Chinese dim sum. Small place that is not really equipped to handle handicappers, but the food was really good. Thanks for the recommendation. 👍👍👍

Aloha Amanda & Felix. I love Dim Sum too! Glad to hear about late night dim sum dining Oahu, the only other time I knew of a place that did that was Orchid Gardens in Las Vegas (10:30 am - 10:30 pm all day dim sum). My fav dim sum dishes are shrimp (or fried dough) rice noodle roll/sheets, clams w/black bean sauce, eggplant stuffed w/shrimp paste, leek & shrimp pan fried dumplings, deep fried shrimp ball or crab claw ball, sesame ball filled w/red bean paste (sweet), har gow, so many yummy dim sum dishes out there. Congrats on winning two tickets for anywhere, that is awesome. I remember you & I had talked about how you wanted to see the northern lights so maybe Scandinavia or Iceland?

Dim Sum looks really legit there. You're gonna be hooked on Xiao Long Bao now. I ate vegan for about 7 yrs and that was one thing I craved. Pro tip is to buy them frozen and steam at home. Then you can eat as many of them as you want and it won't cost you as much. Most restos buy frozen too. Felix, Amanda is your good luck charm. Who actually ever wins a trip to anywhere in the world! She said it so matter of factly that she must win stuff often. That's cool tho. You deserve it! Vancouver baby! Snow in mountains which are close. We're known as Hong Kong North so literally hundreds of Chinese and ethnic East and South Asian restaurants all over. Only thing is things have gotten a little more expensive here but for food you will get good value due to exchange and maybe a little less $ in absolute terms too. Fun video!

thanks for the all-day Dim Sum restaurant tip. Only dim sum that I've had in Honolulu was at Ginger and Garlic in Chinatown a few years back. I thought it was pretty close to mainland food, but that might just be me. I'm also a fan of mustard and shoyu. You have to ask for it and (yuk) sometimes the restaurant only has it in a individual squeeze package (which doesn't taste the same as Coleman's dry mustard). Before wasabi, my folks used to use mustard and shoyu as a sashimi dip - really old school.

I enjoyed the siumai, chicken feet, spareribs in black bean sauce, & shrimp & chive dumplings!🔥💯 We don’t usually have hot mustard & shoyu with dim sum here in the mainland but I learned quickly that it was delicious! 😎🙏🏻 I need to try the baked pork bun!!!!🤘🏼🤤

My dim sum connoseiur friend said that the cookie top on the bbq beef one was started by Tim Ho Wan and is what won them a Michelin star at their original location. I love how Yung Yee has it for a fraction of the price of eating at Tim Ho Wan haha my son loves sweet creams in the Yung Yee parking lot and that’s where we stock up on our Noms candies. I brought Noms to my mainland relatives and they loved it.
My friend also taught me some dim sum etiquette like pouring tea for others, picking up dim sum with the ends of your chopsticks when eating with friends, propping the lid of the tea pot on the handle to let the server know you are out of tea. They also said when you have a large group you can order an additional pot of hot water to refill your own pot when you run low so you don’t have to keep waiting and reordering. I love eating with new people because I always learn something.

I guess they moved somewhere a little closer. And I know you guys went to Japan before but it would be cool to see a guide from you guys.

You guys should have done this earlier, we went to Tim Ho Wan in the Royal Hawaiian Center back in Apr, it was not that good, feels like more for tourists. This one looks more legit. And I, a chinese, also mix mustard with soy sauce when I have dimsum, my wife would mix red chilli paste with soy sauce, so both works.
